Add distances to next POI
Audi Nav system has a really useful widget on the display showing how many miles/kms to the next POI along the route you have selected. By way of an example I found it really useful to be able to glance at the screen and see that the next service station was 3 miles away and the one after was 30 miles. This could be used for a variety of POIs and you could go as far to also add fuel/charging points and the prices of fuel at those areas. The key part of this idea though is that it considered…

Railroad arms down
It would be nice to know when trains are stopped and the rails are down. That way you could take an alternate route.

Leave by
I suggest a "leave by" time as an option similar to the "arrive by" times displayed under the "leave later" when route selecting. For example, if I plan to leave at precisely 4pm (currently 320pm) it would display how long it would take and change as I scrolled through 430pm, 5pm, etc. I haven't seen anything on that yet, unless I missed it. Thanks for the user friendly, simple app, keep it up!

weather
Instead of integrate the weather forecast from any channel, I suggest Waze to develop a function to allow wazers to report the current area's weather by clicking a raining icon like we do to report "red light camera", "crush", etc. And a confirmation for others to respond "Still Raining" or "No Rain".

Better icons
I would like better icons. When working on the WME map (as an editor), I just find the icons terribly bland. When looking at the Live Map for example, all shops look like red squares.
Perhaps some scissors for personal care? An envelope for post offices. I just find for an app that has a multitude of custom little faces that you can be whilst driving, a little more focus on the Place Icons would definitely go a long way especially when a Funeral Home and the Post Office have the exact same symbol.

Be able to drop a pin to report later
Be able to drop a pin and report when not driving.
Say which lane to take on freeways with multi-lane exits.
Make “closures” actually work. I am in SF and it never lets me mark where I am that is closed, also for multi lane streets, like Juniperra Serra, the option to choose a lane is needed.

Arrêter de signaler les véhicules arrêtés sur les airs de repos ou les trotoirs !
Le soir c'est non stop ces signalements inutiles de chauffeurs prenant leur pause sur une air de repos, une voiture garrée sur le bas coté devant sa maison etc. Et on n'y fais plus attention au bout d'une vingtaine de signalelents bidons !
Et du coup, j'ai failli écraser un type changeant sa roue après un virage !
Il avait peut être aussi été signalé mais au bout d'une vingtaine de signalement inutiles c'est passé inaperçu.3 votes -
Search Results Missing
Android app user, in app Search Results no longer shows "places" and "Google" tabs at the bottom of the app screen. Only shows "Search Results" which are random, often incorrect, and often very far away.

“Still going?”
I left for a destination an hour later than what the "plan to leave..." or "time to leave" notifications suggested which caused an error in the app (since I left later, the trip notifications no longer worked). So I had to type in my destination address manually. Maybe this issue calls for some kind of "life happens" measure where you implement a prompt that asks, "Still going?" That way, we can still tap the notification to initiate the trip in a jam—even/especially when we’re super leaving late.

Reports buttons size
In landscape mode, with the report buttons and the option to accept them, if I accidentally press the wrong button, I can no longer accept the report.

Put the buttons BESIDE each other not stacked. Even as a passenger I have hit the “not there” button in error.

Is there a feature that can be built into the Waze app that will alert you to an upcoming speed change
Could Waze build an alert into its app to alert you to an upcoming speed change, to help you decrease your speed. it would help to keep you from exceeding the speed limit.

Permis probatoire
Bonjour, j’ai eu l’idée récemment d’inclure un mode "permis probatoire". Le mode permettait de :
Adapter la limitation de vitesse ainsi que les alertes en cas de franchissement de celle ci
Recalculer le temps de trajet en fonction de la limitation de vitesse
Au désir de l’utilisateur, ajouter une date à compte de laquelle le mode "permis probatoire" se désactive tout seul
Proposer cette option à l’installation de l’application me semble judicieux, il serait donc logique de proposer les options de navigation déjà présentes afin de configurer son Waze comme on le veut dès le début car certaines personnes ne…

Please allow settings to switch on automatic avoidance of reported issues, eg Potholes. Would be awesome if waze can plan my route around specific reported issues. I've spent waaaaay to much on tyres and rims resulting from South Africa's failing infrastructure. Thank you.
