  2. Integration of data from europe single access points for traffic data

    In the European Union every member state have the create a single point of access for (realtime) traffic information. In germany this single point of access is called MDM (http://www.mdm-portal.de/en/). Here you find partners which are providing traffic information which can be relevant for your service. For example some road operativers providing information regarding the realtime traffic volume or road works on this data marketplace for free.   4. Dear Waze people - most of the time I love your app, but sometimes

    ...it goes crazy. Is there any way you can prevent it from doing that? It can't find the directions accurately. It will tell me to turn when I don't really need to. Crazy stuff like that.

  5. share destination via api

    An API so that when you enter a destination into Waze, then Waze can inform other web services (such as IFTTT) to use this. For example, Nest (also part of Google) has an API that includes telling it when you will get home to it can preset the heating.

  6. Alternative sound alert for major turnings/junctions

    It would be good to have an alert option for just major junctions or turning on your route that are coming up.

    For example, when going down a motorway or other route that you have driven previously in the past/know, you don't need constant turn by turn directions, just alerts for "getting off the motorway at junction 11" or "turn right" at a big roundabout etc.

  9. Add a positive feedback notification on choosing a path that actually brought you faster to your destination.

    Drivers are debating between several alternative routes and are always swayed whether the choice was right. Would the alternate routes bring me faster? Did I do the right decision?

    If indeed the route chosen was the fastest in real time compared to alternate routes, not only in theory, would be extremely fun to get a message saying that the choice was the right one and saved X minutes.

    This feature gives a great, satisfying feeling, strengthens your choice and gives confidence and trust in the app.

  10. Forced approach direction

    There needs to be a way to tell Waze to map your approach to arrive from a specific direction.

    Example: The cathedral in downtown Los Angeles is on the northeast corner of Temple and Hill streets. The only access to the parking lot is to turn right from southbound Hill street. You can't make a left into the lot from northbound Hill Street, and there is no access at all from easebound or westbound Temple Street.

    So having some method of specifying an approach direction (in this case) "southbound only approach") would be wonderful.

  11. Match multiple riders to unlock HOV for everyone

    In the San Francisco Bay Area, and many other municipalities, HOV lanes require 3 or more people to use. If Waze Rider had a feature that let you request an HOV carpool only, and would enable multiple matches so that you could get 3 people in the car (driver + 2 riders), everyone would save 45 minutes of traffic. That would be a huge incentive to get people to use the app, meaning easier and more matches and fewer cars on the road.

  12. have you ever thought about making a bluetooth remote for updating while driving

    create a remote that has the most common updates on it - cop - vehicle on the side of the road - object in road - traffic. you would have to take your eyes of the road just hit the appropriate button for updating. updates would be more accurate and more people would participate in updating which it the whole point.

  13. Make Wazers Near You work everywhere

    When starting Waze, you see "xxx Wazers near you"...but only if you are in a defined NYN polygon.
    I would like it to work if you are outside these polygons, possibly by determining the number of Wazers within N km.

  14. safe routes

    Dear,
    I write them because I love the app, however when I use the app at night, I would like it to include safe routes, I know that for you may sound strange, but in my country there are routes that during the night in certain points of the city is Extremely dangerous to go through assaults, robberies or kidnappings. It would be interesting to be able to work on creating safer but less efficient routes alternatives when you deem it convenient.

  16. Voice instructions don´t work

    Hello,

    We wanted to ask, seeming to Android version 6.0.0 and higher, the sound is not working? (Voice instructions)

    It is impractical to constantly monitor display.

    Please Do you have any solutions?

    Does not work on the new Samsung Galaxy J5 and J5 2016.

    Other functions work perfectly.

  17. Use Google Home to provide departure alerts for scheduled events

    I would like to be able to use Google Home to set a scheduled departure time and location, and have it notify me with a audio notification (via Google Home) when it's time to leave. This would allow me to freely move about my home without having to check my phone.

  18. STOP THE TRAIN button

    Besides the great idea for navigating around blocked crossings, how about when YOU are stuck on the RR and you can't get off? Press the STOP THE TRAIN (button within WAZE, or a stand alone app). A message is sent off to DOT.GOV and the RR. Hopefully the RR operation center can get the the signal changed withing a few minutes. I am making a suggestion to them at rrswebinquiries@dot.gov so they could develop this app and the needed database of locations codes by position.

    BY THE TIME A TRAIN SEES A PROBLEM, THE TRAIN CANNOT STOP.

    Hello. make the possibility of building the route, taking into account the bridges. St. Petersburg (Russia), it is true. in winter bridges are not diluted, but the program thinks that the bridges are divorced and build a detour route. Thank you for your program :)
