  2. Better updating of fuel prices - petrolprices.com

    As another post notes re Germany, in the UK there is a service, internet based mainly as the ios app doesn't seem to work now, which updates prices from fuel cards and is far more up-to-date. I love the interaction with other wazers but if there is a technology solution to really enhance the service then I think this should be incorporated. It doesn't look like Petrolprices.com is a big company so I am sure they would welcome an approach.

  4. Prevent Waze from sending drivers on roads with no cell coverage.

    Waze sent us onto a snowy mountain road with a 20 car pileup blocking it. There were very dangerous conditions on this road. Wazers were unable to connect to the network because there was no cell coverage on the road. In those cases where there is no cell coverage Waze should somehow check with emergency services.

  5. Differentiate between toll roads and toll bridges

    I drive solo in Seattle. I have three options into Seattle from the North: - I -405 (with a toll bridge - 525- across the lake) or 1-405 (with a non toll bridge - via 1-90) and then I-5 with no tolls at all.

    Can we have an option for WAZ to differentiate between toll roads and toll bridges - this is because I can still drive the "regular" road on the 1-405 and then take the toll bridge (525) into Seattle, but I don't want WAZ to figure the time for the HOV/T lane...aaaaagh, does that make any sense?…

  8. Sinalização para "área perigosa" / Dangerous área alert

    Portuguese: Seria importante ter um sinal de alerta para áreas perigosas ou de alta criminalidade aqui no Brasil. Realmente é um recurso muito importante.

    English: It would be really important to have an alert such as "dangerous area ", for areas with hogh number of criminality, here in Brazil.

  9. Voice Search shouldn't require so many taps to work.

    The best driving apps are ones that you don't have to touch very often since that takes concentration away from the road. Waze lets you search via tapping the Microphone button but then still requires multiple taps to complete the request.

    Current steps:
    1) TAP magnifying glass
    2) TAP microphone
    3) Say name of place to go
    4) Look at the screen to see the list of possible suggestions
    5a) TAP the location you want if shown, or
    5b) TAP the Search button for more results and then TAP the location you want
    6) TAP the Go button
    7) TAP…

  10. Section Control

    In a lot of European countries you have speed-control via section-control, means:
    the avgerage speed is measured of a certain distance by taking picture of car when entering and leaving the measuring section.
    Unfortunatly currently you can not warn other users of such controls.
    On contrary, such controls are only posted as stationary speed-control when entering, which is very misleading

  12. Report on the previous place

    Hi there,
    I would like to ask that how can I pin the previous place that I see got road block on the other side of the road? And because I'm driving, so I'm unable to report in the 1st place, and when I reach at the traffic light, I try to report the exact location, it's can't anymore. How?

    Core idea is to create values to Wazers, Restaurants and Waze by connecting Wazers with Restaurants via Waze.

    How it works?
    To many of us, choosing a restaurant for a casual meal is usually impromptu. We decide where to eat upon departure or a moment before that. With regards to this, to add value to user experience of Waze, each time a Wazer keys in the restaurant of interest or search for “nearby restaurants”, Waze will inform the Wazer number of seats available. Subsequently, the Wazer will be asked if he/she would like to make reservation and thus saving his/her…

    You could use a new hazard tab for high water for like at the bottom of an Overpass where water collects and presents a hydroplane or lose control hazard...thx.

  18. Tip Jar

    I think that there should be a Tip Jar option when you complete your journey, That way when you arrive at your destination, thinking that Waze really helped you out, you could drop a couple of pounds/bucks/euros into the Tip Jar. Maybe it would need to take the form of an in-app purchase for which you'd receive a badge in order to justify the purchase.. I don't mind the ads but they aren't relevant to me and on a number of occasions I'd have been more than happy to say thank you by sending a few quid to Waze.

  20. Next Nav event as popup

    Add info of the coming navigation event (in X km turn left etc') in the notification curton. This should be poped up over an active app canvas. See reference on Google Maps
