    Daylight and getting into a tunnel the screen could darken to night mode to not bother the driver.

  2. Display tunnels as hashed/broken lines

    Tunnels should be displayed on the Waze client as hashed or broken lines.

    Currently, tunnels are displayed on maps almost the same way as roads. This is confusing as you are not exactly sure when to turn, as Waze makes it look like there is another road to pass before you turn. If tunnels were shown to be dramatically different to roads, it would make the navigation experience better for all users.

  4. Fade music on alerts/notifications/Turn-by-Turn

    It would be really nice if Waze faded music during audio events (not pause.. pause is a little bit jerky and makes you lose the music beat)
    I use my phone (Android) as a Media Center on my car, it controls the audio and video on it. I play music using it (outstanding equalizer settings and audio effects), and the fade function is really necessary so I don't keep distracting looking for corners on GPS.
    Also, on my own opinion, fading looks real classy and professional.

    Original Google Maps' software does that fading, but I don't want to go back…

  5. Use a system similar to Evernote to access Calendar information. If Location exists and it is shown in the Address Book, ask to nav there.

    Use the calendar to chose next location to navigate to semi automatically.

  7. Show more navigation instructions when losing GPS signal

    It would be nice if the client could show more than the next turn (on the screen) when driving by navigation and the GPS signal is lost.

    The next turn is shown in green on the bottom left corner, and the 3 following driving instructions could show up in orange above this when GPS signal is lost.

    If there is a speed cam between two of the next turns, is should also show up in this "navigation list".

  8. Automatic switch between sleep and unsleep mode

    It would be great (for saving autonomy) having a mode which turn the device screen into sleep mode (if Waze is active on the screen) and come back into active mode before some interesting action, such as a junction, an off ramp to drive, or eating roadgoodie. In the best case, the time the screen become active again would be dependant of speed.

  9. For reports and chit-chat. How many symbols can be typed in one message or alert ?

    Add the counter of characters left in chit-chat or in reports. As it done in twitter. To be shure the wazers will see your uncutted, full message

  10. Allow us to make a user-imposed max speed limit

    In countries like Australia, where Learner or P-Plate drivers are restricted to speed limits such as 90km/h or 100km/h regardless of the posted speed, having the option in apps (like Waze) to set a custom speed limit for their driving profile would be incredibly useful.

    This feature could allow users to input their maximum allowable or planned driving speed, which the app could then use to calculate more accurate estimated times of arrival (ETAs) for trips. It could also help improve route recommendations by prioritising paths that are more suited to their speed restrictions (e.g., avoiding motorways if the speed…

    Not sure why you decided to remove the cockney voice? It was one of the reasons why I was using Waze…please bring it back, it was superb!

    Good morning,
    Would it be possible to create an option to hide the street name? At certain intersections, the purple sign hides the white arrow. Additionally, with Android Auto, the street name is already indicated. Sincerely. RR

  14. Show the type of place category on the place information screen

    Currently Wae does not show the name/type of category a place belongs to when viewing the information screen. This should be included e.g Movie theater, Restaurant etc

  15. Speed bump notification

    Please can you make speed bumps in a different category so it can be turned off without removing the rest of the hazards. Living in London means I get a speed bump notification every 5 seconds and it’s very distracting when driving. Thanks, Josh

  16. Speedometer position

    Please make it so the speedometer can be dragged to a new position on the screen!
    The speedometer being fixed in the bottom left of the phone screen can be an issue depending on where the phone is mounted, the orientation it is mounted, and if the screen is obstructed by the steering wheel for example.

  17. Speed Limit Announcer

    Waze should have the option of Current Speed Limit Announcer, everytime when the speed changes, or if your on the road, and the speedometer pops up for example, “35” in a 35 mph road, or “60” in a 60 mph road

    Waze on your phone and/or CarPlay should speak “The speed limit is “35 mph” or “The speed limit is 60 mph”

    It is a lot better than looking at your radio just to see the speed limit is posted to prevent a crash

  18. Close the Segment user is currently on

    In Rural areas the users may encounter a situation where the road may be closed due to a problem like a downed tree or other issues. In order for Waze to re-route it needs to know that the road is closed and there is no way to report a closure of the current segment that they are on. App only allows reporting of the closure from the nearest intersection in the direction of travel, which will fail to re-route.

  19. EV Battery estimates for routes on Android Automotive

    For electric vehicles that run on Android Automotive, allow the routes to display estimated battery levels for when you get to your destination, like Google Maps does. If you don't have enough battery power to get to your destination, Waze should suggest EV chargers along the way.

    Bonjour
    Il faudrait prévoir une option de navigation pour camping car de moins de 3.5t mais qui sont tout de même grand m. Certaines routes que nous empruntons avec l'assistant waze sont trop étroites pour des véhicules d'un tel gabarit
