"Both lanes" reporting option
Add a "both lanes" option when reporting traffic jams, hazards, and accidents affecting both directions of travel at the same time.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Please consider an option to identify the lane/ lanes impacted by an accident or hazard. This would allow drivers more time to get into another lane.

Why is it not possible to report obstacles on oncoming lanes? It goes by accident but not by objects on the road

would love the option to choose what side of the road hazards and destinations are. It would be great to change lanes for both reasons!

it would be nice when WAZE reports vehicle on side of the road to know if it is on the left sholder or the right sholder

Right now I only get voice alerts for police when travelling in the same direction as the user who marked the police. Often the cop is able to watch traffic from both directions so it would be nice to be warned when coming from either direction.

Sometimes Police sit on the side of the road or in the median, but are actually doing enforcement in BOTH directions. It would be SUPER useful to get notifications (by user choice) when there are police on the "other" side of the road as they may actually be enforcing both directions.

This capability can also be used when there is an object on the road. It would be nice the be forewarned with lane information.

My state has a lot of construction works ongoing on the road, and I believe a “right/left lane closed” option would be amazing to add for the reporting options, also due to crashes and similar stuff.
Also, I think it would be cool to have a “draw open” feature on a bridge, I drive through one that opens quite frequently and there are countless “heavy/standstill traffic” reports due to this, maybe a hazard type report like the one I just suggested would make it better. -

This is especially needed because Android Auto doesn't let you type or read comments (for a reason). So if someone uses comments to pass this information, I won't see this in my car. Need a built in ability to enter and see this information.

I was thinking it would be a nice feature when reporting an accident to be able to say which lane the accident was blocking. (left / middle/ right) so you could begin to merge sooner.

There is no need to add attribute for each segment about lanes count, this is nearly impossible indeed. I can be a digit or abstract lane options like "Left, Middle, Right, Exit, Shoulder" selected/entered/voted by Wazers when sending or confirming reports.

I use comments in the reports to tell which lane is affected. It would be safer to just tap "left", " middle", "right" or any combination of the above-listed. At least these three options. The exact number of lane will require each segment to have the number of lanes attribute. This in turn would require editors to add this attribute to every single segment which is nearly impossible.

My only suggestion is to add Left or Right for things like vehicle on shoulder, etc.

If not already mentioned, on multi lane roads ie: Syd Harbour Bridge, WHICH LANE IS OBSTRUCTED!

Hello, the border crossing I pass everyday has 2 lanes in each direction. However, for sheer fun, agents maning the border randomly decide to open or close the traffic for cars on the 2nd lane - and the only sign that the 2nd lane is open isn't visible from far away. So cars are backed up on a long line, and it's only when you reach the border post that you realize the 2nd lane was open and you could have gone through much more quickly. It would be useful to be able to quickly flag that the 2nd lane is open.

While yes, there is another similar suggestion. This one is different. "left 2 lanes slow due to crash" "crash in right lane ahead" "heavy traffic in center lane" "left lane merges right" something like this would be helpful during rush hour. There have been many times where I've gotten stuck in the far left of 5 lanes due to a crash. And the lanes to the right are going faster.

Great idea. Should have separate button for traffic accident and when clicking on it, an icon pops up showing traffic lanes (say 3 lanes on highway, and sides, as applicable), saying, Indicate lane, with red car-buttons in each lane. When clicked, other Waze users see icon indicating accident and lane; can confirm or correct icon (maybe, was 2 lane accident, but cleared 1 lane).

It would be great to have a center option when reporting police. This way both sides of the road would issue a warning when there is police in the center of the roadway.
