  1. Custom Speed Threshold for Radar Alerts (SPAIN)

Waze should allow users to set a custom speed threshold for radar alerts. Currently, it only warns when exceeding the limit, but for those without cruise control, it’s easy to unintentionally speed up just before passing a camera. A feature to get a warning slightly below the limit (e.g., at 115 km/h in a 120 km/h zone) would help prevent accidental fines and improve road safety.

  2. Map UK police ANPR scanners

I like to suggest that UK police ANPR scanners are crowd-mapped and potentially included as an option that one might like to avoid when navigating

    Background:
Police have set up thousands of number plate scanners in the UK which record passing traffic including images of front passengers.

These create motion profiles which are stored on non-public database regardless of suspicion or explicit consent with no right to view your own data).

Camera locations are not published also even though ANPR cams are visible for people who know what they look like.

WAZE could crack this lack of informational self-determination and…

  3. Cha Cha Slide Themed Voice

Upon selecting the "Cha Cha Navigator" voice, users are greeted with: "Welcome to the Cha Cha Navigator! Let's slide through traffic together."

Instead of traditional directions, instructions are given in the style of the song:"Slide to the left" for a left turn."Slide to the right" for a right turn.Everybody clap your hands" when arriving at the destination.

Playful warnings for speed cameras or police:"Speed camera ahead, cha cha real smooth now!"Customization:Users could also customize the intensity of the Cha Cha Slide references, choosing from "Mild Slide," "Moderate Slide," or "Full Slide" to suit their preference.I believe this playful and…

  4. Add back the Car

Add back the filters for Crash, Car on Shoulder, Car on Road, etc to the desktop version. As a Department of Transportation, we use WAZE to dispatch our service patrol to motorists and this is a great tool to have them check on vehicles if we don't have a camera in the area. It used to be there but has recently disappeared. (Waze told to put it as a suggestion)

  6. Make the speedometer movable (floating mode)

    Hi Waze team,

I’d like to suggest adding an option to make the speedometer movable or floating. When using Waze in landscape mode, alerts such as speed camera warnings sometimes cover the speedometer, making it impossible to see the current speed. I often rely on it because it shows the exact speed, so having the ability to move or reposition it would be very helpful.

Thank you for considering this improvement!

  7. Add option to add sound decibel readers

NYC specifically in the 5 boroughs of new york as well as a couple of other states started a program for sound decibel readers to be installed through out the city in other words noise cameras for cars and motorcycles. NYC has always been a loud place so this is un necessary. It is also not right towards cars that come from the factory stock such as scat pack chargers, hellcats, mustangs, harley davidson motorcycles, sports bikes, As well as many super cars. The 1st noise violation is a insane price of approximately $800 the 2nd is approximately $1600…

  8. Can you make

A average speed but not for the trip, from the moment the gps system says im entering a average speed limit motorway. (i already have an average speed for the trip on my car dash). So in order for me to know what my average speed is while driving in average speed limit way it had to start from the moment i cross the camera (GPS started and end at the exit point)

  9. travel buddy for lonely drivers

Sometimes when driving alone you get bored. Why not add a buddy voice? It's more than just a voice:
    1. It can have different personas
    2. it continues to give road instructions, but it also plays road games with the driver: I Spy, Counting Cars, etc. It can use the camera to see things and the voice command to communicate. t tells jokes, sings along to songs, etc.

    It's like a navigator who's your bestie.

  10. multiple reoccuring beep option when speed limit threshold is exceeded.

Being able to set a reoccuring beep (instead of just one beep) when the speed threshhold is exceed is very necessary. This way speed cameras can be avoided and one is reminded what the speed limit is. Also, it is necessary to be able to add temporary speed limits into the trip line. These may or may not be permanent, but important just the same due to temporary speed cameras.

  11. Past Reports of Mobile Speed Cameras Alert

With the recent addition of giving an alert to the user when a certain area has a "History of Accidents". Something similar should be done with mobile speed cameras where an alert comes up stating that the certain area that the user has entered has had previous reports of mobile speed cameras vans. I dont just mean being able to report Mobile Speed Cameras, as that already exists. I'm talking about an alert popping up as there has been numerous reports, can be from the day before to a month before.

  12. worrisome design trends lately

I'm noticing some worrisome design trends lately in Waze, please don't ruin an app that was almost perfect as it was!

    Examples:
    1) forcing Google Assitant down our throats, when the voice recognition Waze used before was flawless;
    2) those arrows on top (lane guidance) telling which lane to use are completely unnecessary and redundant and take up screen real estate;
    3) the new speed camera warning in white down below is ugly af, contrasts with my dark color scheme, and again, takes up valuable screen real estate unnecessarily and reduces the part of the map we see, it was…

  13. Alert for run-down animals

English: We members of a robotics team created a new Waze alert. Imagine how much will be feasible alert when someone saw or trampled an animal? Usually the people don’t know what do when they trample an animal, if the Waze has this option the rescue of these animals will be easier of be accomplished and the animals will not die for staying for a long time waiting to they be ransomed.
Will have an animal run-off alert (just as they already exist the camera alerts, per example) when the user to click on this alert he will notify if…

    Hey,

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

    Thanks!

  14. In-app option to turn off familiarity capping

Give the users the option to always display Speed Cameras and Hazards that familiarity capping would otherwise remove from the display.

  15. Prevent cops to remove their hidden cameras

Please find the way how to stop cops removing them selves from map… user reporting hidden cameras, but cops could quite easily and quickly remove that report. Maybe longer timeout or something

  16. show nearest petrol station prices as alerts

The way that you alert could be used to provide proximity alerts that show the nearest fuel/petrol station and the prices. This could be an option that is configured for those that want the alert (on) and those that do not want it shown (off).
A much easier way to update the price would be welcome e.g. use the front facing camera to recognize the prices and translate to an auto update would be cool.

  17. Implement reporting of badly fixed issues by moderators

To allow reporting when a moderator will check an issue as solved, even though he didn't change something. Maybe an option to attach an image will be good confirmation of the true situation at the disputed location.

This is a big issue in my town of Skopje, as there are speed camera alerts on many intersections and only some of them are true. The reported issues go to a couple moderators which are not very effective in their work.

  18. Screen space landscape

The landscape view of the map has too many things on screen. The black navigation pane covers the speed limit and the speed camera alert also covers most of the screen. I am using larger font sizing as my eyes aren't great and the scaling makes this situation even worse.

Can the screen space be arranged so items don't cover each other in landscape.

Maybe a new set of icons/thin banner on the "side" instead of going along the whole "bottom" of the screen when in landscape.

Also Samsung phone has polarised screen to help viewing in sunlight but with…

February 27 driving north thru Wrens, Georgia, I was clocked at 46 in a 35 school zone for an $80 ticket. How can I get this permanent camera, operating an hour before and after school hours, logged into the Waze system?. I can send aa copy of the ticket for your input with location details etc. It's been reported they issued 178 tickets in the first week of operation. Picture of the car but not the driver, is this a legit ticket?

  20. Allow users to edit Toll road times (general)

In Stockholm roads have toll during week days and then business hours (diff. price throughout the day). Week ends are free as well as evenings. Also bank holidays are free and days before certain bank holidays.
With the general setting today Waze will avoid toll roads (if set to avoid) on times when no toll exist.

Either move toll setting to destination setting page or improve map edit to include whereabouts of the toll camera/device and time schedule incl. price.
