More voice warning before freeway exits, regardless of speed
I noticed that the location of the voice instruction you hear before a freeway exit varies based on how fast you're going.
Around 100 km/h, you get the voice instruction 1.5 kilometres before your exit.
Around 80 km/h, you get the voice warning about 1 km before the exit.
Around 60 km/h, you get the warning just 300 metres before the exit. It's the last one that I think is a problem. Some drivers rely mostly on the voice instructions either because we don't have a phone stand or because of restrictive laws regarding phone use while driving. And if…

Next two turns visual
Dear Waze Team,
I appreciate the work you’ve done to make navigation more intuitive and efficient. I’d like to suggest a feature that could further enhance safety for drivers: displaying the next two upcoming turns instead of only the immediate one.
Currently, Waze provides turn-by-turn guidance, but it only shows the next turn unless the following turn happens right after. Having a clear view of the next two turns at all times would allow drivers to plan ahead and avoid last-minute lane changes or abrupt movements. This small adjustment could prevent confusion, reduce accidents, and improve overall road safety.

Color code car icon by distance
When Waze zooms in & out, the car icon stays the same size. Why not color code the car icon, green for when you are far away, yellow when you are close & need to change lanes for a turn/exit, red when you are within a quarter mile.

Streamline CarPlay display
I totally appreciate turning off the ability to add comments to traffic reports while on CarPlay. But if they're not going to expand so I can read something someone's already commented, can those green bubbles stay off the map?
For accidents and road work, it would be nice to be able to see which lanes are closed (if any) to avoid merging at the last minute.

Maps updates (more frequently)
Hello,
I would like to ask why the maps are not updated more frequently? In metro Atlanta, they have added new toll lanes on I-75. Those routes have not been added and when we are using those lanes using Waze they are very confusing with all the nonsense directions we hear. These new toll lanes were added a year ago, and as of today in 2020, no updates yet!! Thank you for listening to my request
2 votesThanks for contacting us about reporting an error on the map. Our community of volunteer map editors handle all changes to the Waze map.

Report blocked/ closed exits.
There’s options to report blocked lanes. Can we also have blocked exits (due to accident, construction, etc).

Traffic lanes speed.
It would be useful to add this feature back to the Waze app because the speed of traffic segments is useful, so that we drivers can understand how intense the traffic is on certain sections of the road. But it should be estimated in both Km and in miles.

when announcing road hazards, it shoult be stated which side of the road
knowing what side of the road prepares you better, to either change lanes or be more alert

advanced alerts
Several states have DMV digital alert signs - it would be great to be able to add those warnings to Waze. Example the DMV sign alerts 'accident on 85 South 5 miles ahead all lanes closed' - If a Wazer could input that info by means other than map chats people usually don't read, or at the wrong mile marker it'd be extremely valuable for people traveling in large cities.
I'd pay money to know that in advance!3 votes -
Voice/audio command instances & timing
The timing of the audible commands should be perfectly consistent. I drive a semi thru all 48 states and sometimes it seems like the audible voice command forgets or seems to pick and choose when to tell me the next instruction, and I would like to not have to mess with my phone while driving to pull the wave app back on screen if it isn't already, read the instruction, and navigate the onscreen map to see where to turn while in heavy traffic on urban roads/hwys I'm unfamiliar with trying not to miss my turn. Sometimes, it'll announce 300…

Navigate toll roads even when pass not entered in settings.
I live near the Georgia, USA, I-75 Northwest Corridor Express Lanes. When a user enters the Express Lanes without a corresponding pass in settings, Waze acts like the road doesn't exist and keeps offering turns as if they were on the main highway, going the opposite direction, on nearby surface streets, etc. After entry there are very few ways to exit the Express Lanes, and it's unhelpful to have suggestions to turn around or to exit from the main highway when you're in the Express Lanes. Perhaps Waze could recognize that the user is on the…

Suggestion on reporting police traps.
Many people incorrectly report police traps when on a major highway and there is a substantial divide between north and south lanes (woods or grass). An example is I am heading south and see a police vehicle hidden in the woods looking at northbound traffic. I have now way to select other side and hidden together. So people select hidden but it shows up to southbound traffic when in fact it should warn northbound traffic.
A few more choices/selections/modifiers in all categories would help pin dow types and location of issues.
I would love to be part of a…3 votes -
Rock Creek Parkway
Waze knows that Rock Creek Parkway in Washington DC is closed to north or south bound traffic on weekdays during rush hour, but it doesn’t know that these closures don’t happen on federal holidays so you’re instructed to take a longer route even though the parkway is open. Please consider modifying this.

Even better traffic diversion/lets make detours easier.
Waze supports many ways for drivers to leave comments on changing road conditions and hazards, including road closures or debris in the road. The way the app is setup is for people to flag trouble while driving, not while stopped. People often use waze to avoid police when driving, this has resulted in mixed responses from law enforcement. Some saying its intentions are insufficient at ensuring continuous safe driving. Others value its merits like I do. In my work in the field I often use Waze to alert motorists that the road is closed or that there is something…

I-95 South of Washington DC
Waze does not recognize the EZ Pass lanes that change direction during the day. When using these lanes, Waze continually directs you to exit these lanes and move to the permanently North or South lanes. It’s very distracting and should be corrected.
