1. Ask users if they are stopping for gas

   When unexpectedly exiting the highway, ask users if they are stopping for gas. This would eliminate annoying and distracting rerouting, and direct users to the nearest gas station. 99% of the time, I got off the highway for a reason and don’t immediately want to be directed back on.

2. Speed alert has stopped working in Android Auto

   Ever since the latest AA UI redesign, I have noticed that the "speed alert" feature has stopped working. I have not tested without AA, so I cannot say if this is specific to that or a general problem.

3. Report single lane stopped traffic on motorway

   Sometimes there is a build-up of traffic in lane 1 of the motorway when approaching a junction, due to issues off of the motorway - causing cars to slam on their brakes and sometimes even causing accidents - while lanes 2 and 3 remain free-flowing.

   Please allow a way of reporting single lane stopped traffic, or "exit-lane spillover" traffic (not sure how it should be worded).

4. Sending a location to Android Auto from the phone is set as new destination without proposing to set it as a stop

   When using Waze on Android Auto and sending a location to waze from a phone app, the location is set as new destination, replacing the existing destination if there was one. A possibility to select between replace or add a stop would be better.

7. Incorporate Buses

   Be able to report a public bus sighting by typing in the bus number on the back so people who take the bus can see approximately where it is at and how close it is to the stop you are at.

8. Fewer taps to make a report

   When using CarPlay (or even my phone when I'm the right-side passenger), to report a vehicle stopped on the side of the road I must tap the orange "Report" circle, choose "Hazard," "Shoulder," "Vehicle Stopped." In CarPlay, when driving that takes my eyes from the road at least four times to identify/locate/push the appropriate button to make the report. Rather than spelling out the words for each part of the notice - perhaps readily identifiable icons could be "stacked" under the headings. As with "QWERTY," there are gestures/reports most often used that could be located in priority locations on the screen.

9. Add Van (or non compliant) as vehicle type to avoid clean air zones

   Waze ability to avoid clean air zones totally falls apart if driving a van that will be charged in a clean air zone. For example Waze will route me through Bradfords clean air zone even though my vehicle has to pay the charge. There is no option to chose a non compliant vehicle so Waze avoids the zone, only private, taxi, motorbike. I just want to simply select avoid clean air zones and then start my journey confidently knowing I will avoid the zones instead of the nightmare it is when following the navigation to see clean air zone signs and to then try and find somewhere to stop open another app to see where the zone is and plot a route around it. It just doesnt make sense causes stress and is dangerous.

10. STOP AUTO START.

    When I stop apps I don't want running, I expect then to stay stopped. Coming close to deleting Waze.

11. Carplay - ability to pause or stop direction notifications

    Waze repeatedly displays notifications when the Carplay display is set to another app. The way they continually pop up interferes with operation of anything else in the Carplay UI

    Ex.: I'm sitting at a light where Waze indicates a left turn. While I wait on the light I go to Spotify to queue up a different album. While doing this Waze will repeatedly interrupt by displaying "left turn 0 feet" or similar notifications with no way to stop them.

12. Blocked lane(s) selection

    When a user selects to report a hazard on the road with either a stopped vehicle or object on road, display a view of that road’s lanes so they can select the lane(s) that are blocked for drivers approaching to prepare.

13. Waze for CMV drivers

    I’ve seen the multiple post about Waze making an app or integrating cmv options for the current app and notice that nothing gets more than 11 votes before the idea is shut down. Is there a reason for that? Waze is an extremely easy to use and reliable gps app. As an iOS user, I have downloaded google maps(iOS maps highly unreliable and hard to use), and other apps that I have to use in combination with the Omni tracks to keep on route and keep track with driving but none of these gives accurate enough road information as far as construction zones, in progress route changes, detours, accidents etc. at all. I’m sure that Waze could charge a small fee for an app that is CMV friendly and driven seeing as many of the users are more than likely truck drivers. I know drivers like me that recommend the app to others for a multitude of reasons wouldn’t mind paying. ALL road users would definitely benefit from this!

    I could semi understand why a developer wouldn’t want to take on this challenge because a lot does go into route planning and tracking for cmv’s. Maybe partnering with other companies that offer a good deal of this information matched with what Waze has to offer would be a good start. It would also be good to keep in mind disabling some of the features for operators of cmvs to lessen certain distractions, ie: offer reporting for weighstation status, inspection zones and construction delays.

14. Different phrases for the same message.

    Waze should have multiple phrases for the same message. For instance, when C3PO is saying turn left master. It could say turn left with a different voice. This way the voice app wont get annoyingly repetitive to listen to.

    Also, another idea would be to have different voices for different speeds, when you are going above 50 miles per hour, it could be an X-wing voice.

    HILARIOUS idea: have a useless and unintelligible directions reader like: R2D2 beeps, and chewbacca yells.

15. LANDMARKS / PLACES OF INTEREST / THEATRES / BUILDINGS

    Here's what happened last night ... I am new to LA and have been using WAZE (which I LOVE!) for 3 months. It is indescribably invaluable to me! BUT ... last night I was to attend a private screening at the Skirball Centre - I have never been there, didn't know where it was but did have the address 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd. When I entered this into WAZE on my iPhone, 4 options became available to me. One of these options said Sepulveda, Manhattan (obviously that's not the one I want, I thought ... that will be ... in Manhattan! Silly me!) The other 3 options said CA and LA but didn't display the zip code on the phone so I selected the top one presuming that it would be where I wanted to go as that has invariably been the case throughout the 3 months of perpetual usage whilst in LA . It was therefore, only when I got to 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd - MANHATTAN BEACH!!! - that I realised I was not only in the wrong place but as far away from where I needed to be at the Skirball Centre as I could be! I spent 2 and a half hours in horrible traffic and missed the screening to my great disappointment! SOOO ... here is my pro-active suggestion from last night's debacle ... IF a User submits an ADDRESS (and not the name of the place) that is linked to a famous landmark/place of interest/building/museum/theatre ... would it be possible to have a selectable option that actually displays the NAME of the place? That would ensure that what happened to me last night would not have happened - specially as we have the anomaly of there being TWO 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvds in LA! Something common to a lot of cities! I know it is a massive task but it would raise WAZE's superb facilities even higher. I realise now that - had I put Skirball Centre into my Search - the correct address would have been immediately available for me to select. But for people who don't realise this (as I didn't last night!) and who put in the address of where they're going, it would have been a terrific facility to see Skirball Centre come up as a choice - specially when there are multiple options of the address in the same city. Hope this is of help to you! I am about to return to the UK and will continue to use and spread the word to all and sundry of this wonderful Ap - it is without doubt the best of its kind! So thank you for it!

16. PLEASE stop routing people on minor roads

    Please stop routing people on minor roads like Norwich St in Milwaukee! Our small, quiet road now has tons of traffic that it never had before (I've been here 20 years) and that it wasn't designed for, to the point that I might look into whether we can get speed bumps, especially since most of the cars are going WAY over our 25 mph speed limit. Keep people on the major roads that were designed for more traffic and that have higher speed limits, please.

17. Stop shutdowns

    Stop fucking shutting down when minimized or screen off. I'm a top 2500 all time Wazer, and I'm about to uninstall. Yes I've disabled battery optimization for Waze. No that hasn't stopped it from throwing a tantrum and shutting down. Getting fucking well tired of missing my turns because my screen's been off.

18. Routing quality has plummeted after the Google acquisition - please get it back in shape!

    I am a passionate Waze user who has converted many friends to the app, and has become a top 4% reporting contributor (I don't participate at all in any other gamified apps or websites). But now my support is waning fast.

    Ever since Google bought Waze, routing has progressively become worse and worse. I initially switched to Waze because Google Maps routing had become horrible - inefficient routes when there were obviously better ways to go, etc. Waze does awesomely creative things like telling me to get off the freeway at an exit then immediately hop back on - Google never ever did that!

    Now Waze is infected by the same disease and I want to cry, as I live in a traffic-snarled Texas city and in the past Waze has saved me so much time – I don't want to lose my helpful friend!

    For example, a route I take 3 times a week stopped defaulting to or even offering as an option the path I always take (initially taught to me by Waze, and incredibly traffic-resistant and consistently fast). Instead, Waze gives me 3 often-traffic-snarled-and-unreliable options.

    In other spots in my home city, on a road I drive with Waze active 3+ times a day, Waze tells me to veer off the usual path on a new road that just got built. It thinks this would be faster, but it is obviously a poor idea, in addition to not being something that should be shown given how much route-training I've given Waze over the past 9+ months (100s of trips).

    Also, when I've been traveling recently, Waze has given me horrible routes, routes that were obviously bad even to someone who'd never been there before.

    I've tried reporting routing errors via the report feature in the app, but Map Editors have responded that they have no control over the macro issues I have reported. As well, it takes too much work to report micro issues, such as the consistent issue 2 paragraphs up with the single road I often drive. Map Editors don't see exactly what I see in the app nor my routing options (they said they see very little info).

    I first loved Waze because it was creative with routing, and then I became a top 4% user, and now I have no idea what to do....

    After recent update, I can no longer update map while driving ( construction, road hazard, police, etc.) nor can I select a destination from existing items, resecrnts, saved, etc. I have not tried to add a stop recently while moving since. I can add a destination while stopped. When I try to update I can only get it to sort of work by clicking quick and multiple times, which causes a safety pause for like 15 seconds or so and then it moves forward, but since many of these reporting items require multiple clicks to fully select, this takes too much time and unsafely attention away from driving and to the app, a long with frustration. I am using Android Auto with Waze. But the same issue seems to happen just on phone while driving. I assume that this behavior would be the same with a touch screen.

20. Route options display

    Would prefer the option of alternative routes to be displayed after selected routes as previous, the current version only reflected prior to a route being selected and no changes of routes could be made after that, unless to stop the navigation and re-route
