Allow users to highlight the route only, without turn by turn directions.
When you've lived in the same city your entire life, you don't need turn by turn directions taking up most of the screen. However it can be nice to have the route outlined, with traffic, construction, and radar highlighted.
A toggle to display the route, without turn by turn directions would make this app a very viable replacement for Google maps.

Wrong direction
A mapping service is directing drivers the wrong way on a one way street (maybe waze). The location is in Vineyard Haven, Ma. The street is William between Church and Center. That section is one way heading north. Cars using a mapping service are being directed the wrong way on that one way street. Please see if you have a flaw in your dataset.

Road block reporting was displayed vertical
It would easier to select the road blocks if they were verticals options and not horizontal, the same way the direction of traffic is. That way. If you are reporting a block road on the left you select the one on the left and not the top or bottom and if it's the one in the center you select the center. And if it's the one on the right you select the one on the right. Seamless integration to actual practice driving makes for paying attention to the road safer, Better and much easier to report. That way they can…

Make Map Chats readable on Android Auto and CarPlay
Map Chats often contain useful information on lane closures or other hazards, but while their icons show up on the car's nav screen when using CarPlay or Android Auto, they can't be tapped on or read.
It is far more hazardous for me to unplug my phone, open the Waze app, and read the Map Chat than it would be to simply glance at my dash nav and tap the chat - you could even have the phone's TTS read it out while displaying it, then give the option to give it a thumbs-up.

Show others going to the same destination.
Since this is part social app why not show how many are headed to the same destination as you. Not the actual usernames but just the number of people. It would be cool to know how many are headed to the same game, or restaurant.

give option to opt out of "Mobile data not available" that pops up after EVERY phone call I make, forcing me to click "ok" to see Waze again
When I make a phone call with Waze open, after the call is connected and the phone call is displayed, a box pops up saying "Mobile data not available" and explains that certain apps are affected. I don't need this reminder after EVERY call and by now i know it quite well. Please give us an opt out button so I don't have to be distracted by clicking "ok" to remove this box and display Waze again. Thank you, Mike :)

lane guidance
Dear Waze Team,
Good day, I am a user based in Malaysia. I have been using Waze as my primary navigation tool for many years and truly appreciate the innovation and convenience it provides. However, after years of usage, I have noticed a main feature where improvements could be made.
Before Waze became my go-to navigation app, I used PAPAGO GPS. One standout feature in PAPAGO was its lane guidance system. Upon approaching an exit, a pop-out window would display an image of the specific junction with arrows clearly indicating the correct lane to take. This visual aid was particularly…

Allow manual override of screen orientation
Since a recent update my car Android HU is displaying the map centred to the right of the screen. I assume it is sensing landscape orientation and arranging the map beside the whereto and info boxes but my screen is actually 12" portrait orientation. The Waze landscape layout puts useful map content off screen. Either the auto orientation needs to be fixed to work correctly for non-phone screens, or provide an override to force the most appropriate display mode. Thanks.

Gas stations: filter to only show stations without debit/credit extra charge
A lot - if not most - gas stations where I live charge extra for debit/credit. I would like to filter those stations in my gas station searches to show only stations that do not charge extra. Alternatively, I would like to see both cash and debit/credit prices. Or, a display of user feedback about which station do and do not charge extra (and how much, ideally).

Enhancement Request: Change in way to acknowledge "Still there" "Not there" on app
Using Carplay, the message pops up with header followed by your 2 choices.
If you could make it so the message is in the middle, choice 1 on top, and choice 2 on bottom, it would be alot easier to correctly select your choice while driving on a touch screen display.
I love the app, and figured I'd submit this to try to make it even better!

Add Kia EV6 vehicle
Electric Vehicles are becoming more prominent in the United States.
I'm requesting a (white) Kia EV6 as a selectable Vehicle to display in 3D on the map as a personal vehicle.I wanted to also point out that as of today, 01/08/25, there are literally no white crossovers/utilty vehicles to even choose from - at all.
Add the EV6 and my soul is yours.

Speedometer disappears on Android alAuto
Speedometer and speed limit disappears randomly on Android Auto.
Sometimes the problem can be solved by stopping, and changing zoom level by buttons that appear in place of the speedometer. This is not a GPS issue, as navigation works fine at the same time.
Seems to be triggered by Android Auto started after Waze, or Android Auto restarted when Waze is running (head unit restarts when I start the engine). But I'm not 100% sure.

Improve rendering of Livemap
The live map has some rendering issues that make it less attractive.
The first issue is with the dotted lines that appear down the middle of MH and FW segments when the map is zoomed in, as well as the lines of PS segments. These lines display over other map features when they shouldn't, such as when the road is an underpass or it is intersecting with a higher-priority road. (It shouldn't be difficult to change the rendering order of these features.)The second issue is with the way corners on segments are smoothed. 90-degree corners in the middle of…

Accessibility: provide a way to toggle off the "What do you see?" dialog when approaching construction.
I use Waze embedded in my vehicle's display. When approaching marked construction, Waze now presents a popup asking "What do you see?". As a person with ADHD, this is very annoying and extremely distracting. Being distracted while driving is bad. And seeing as I have ADHD, I literally cannot ignore the dialog as it is in my face. This is an accessibility issue. Please provide a setting to disable this dialog.

Enhanced Visual Warning for Speed and Red-Light Cameras
I would like to propose an additional visual alert system for speed and red-light cameras within Waze. The idea is to introduce a transparent red overlay that flashes on the screen as drivers approach a camera location.
This feature would serve as a strong visual cue, especially for users who may not always be actively looking at their GPS display or listening to audio directions. The flashing overlay would draw immediate attention and help ensure drivers are more aware of upcoming enforcement zones.
To keep the experience user-friendly and adaptable, I recommend that this alert be offered as an optional…

Smart motorway
Seen suggestions about displaying reduced speed limits displayed on matrix signs on smart motorways. This is a great idea. Given the current surge in popularity of Artificial Intelligence, would it be possible to model and predict reduced speed limits at certain times of the day (think rush hour) and display these in the app? Obviously AI would not be able to predict accidents and other random events, but given that traffic information is already provided in the app, it should be possible to train a machine learning algorithm to predict speed limit changes based on real-world and traffic…

Link Waze with emergency dispatch centers
I work with a volunteer ambulance corp in NJ. When an emergency call comes in from the 911 dispatch center we are given and address. We have to manually enter into Waze or onboard computer. This wastes time and has many user errors - wrong spelling. Wrong number. And takes valuable time away from responding to scene. It would be great if Waze integrated with these 911 centers and the address and route is prepopulated as we head to the emergency. Thank you.

Journey Time in hours and minutes
Hi,
For some time now, the journey time is no longer displayed in hours and minutes, when it is longer than 60 minutes. For example, for a trip of 6 hours and 53 minutes, this gives 413 minutes.
This forces you to convert yourself, which is not easy when driving, because it is not enough to just divide by 60 (in the present example, it would give 6.88 ...).Is it possible to revert to a display in hours and minutes, or to leave the choice to the user in the settings ?
Thanks
