Traffic Direction/Headings - N, E, E, SW, etc.
It would be helpful to know (and report) what direction/heading the heavy traffic is moving (or not moving) i.e. N, E, SW, etc
When I see heavy traffic icons, I'm not sure if it is on my route or going the other way. I think it would benefit other Wazers, if I could alert traffic conditions in the opposite lanes as well... similar to Police or Accident "on the other side."2 votes -

I plan to use Waze data to support defense for moving out of lane unsafely summons - is there any legal precedence? I have great downloads from Waze site showing I never moved out of my lane - will the New Rochelle NY court accept these photos?

Report "Good" road conditions
When I report "bad" road conditions, it helps drivers around me avoid an area. Sometimes, when I reach an area that is reported as "bad" it turns out to actually be less congested or jammed up than reported earlier.
It would be very beneficial to everyone using the app if we could report when a road has good conditions. This would meet the goal of providing real time map updates that benefit everyone looking to see what route is best for them based on the conditions.

I need suport on this as I've tried to get Waze to make this adjustment but they keep saying enough people have to agree
It seems crazy to me that you can so easily post a vehicle stopped on the side of the road...not effecting traffic at all...yet there is no option to report a vehicle broken down in the middle of Freeway lanes, causing a monumental traffic jam! There is an option for roadkill!!! Like a squashed squirrel is really going to impact your journey...but nothing for a vehicle. I had this problem happen to me. There was an almighty backup and I had no idea why. There was a vague report about "an Object" in the road, but you think of…

Long Time Report from WME or Livemap
I think this is something that has been asked and requested for a long time from all over the world.
I think that it would be very useful to be able to insert Long Time Reports from WME or Livemap, also in order to better manage crisis or event situations.
The Report should Be:
Work on Road
Narrow or Low Road
Dangerous Road
Landslide
Changing lane
One way alternatively controlled by traffic light44 votes -
Show Lane Guidance Even If Continuing Through Junction
Lane guidance (along with Visual Instructions) is a great and helpful feature, but I've noticed that it really only comes up if making a turn.
There are many locations I've come across as an editor where a Visual Instruction would be great if continuing on the road because it provides the driver with more information. Unfortunately, even if I add it to the system it never comes up because I'm going straight through the intersection/junction.
I think showing lane guidance regardless of the "turn" would make the app more user friendly, but it obviously needs to be balanced to not…

Enhanced 3D Junction View for Improved Navigation with 3D illustrations
Enhanced 3D Junction View for Improved Navigation
The current Waze display on the BMW X1's 8-inch screen utilizes the full space but lacks critical lane-level detail, especially during complex maneuvers. Implementing enhanced 3D illustrations for specific challenging road features would significantly improve driver clarity and safety.- Complex Interchanges and Lane Guidance For junctions where a simple directional arrow is insufficient, a dynamic 3D view is needed to guide drivers into the correct lane well in advance.
Motorway Splits and Exits:
Need: Show complex motorway splits (e.g., merging onto two separate dual carriageway A-roads) and exits.
Proposed Feature: Display a 3D-rendered…

Why can't I get the route I want? I want to go from L.A. to San Francisco via route 101. Why Can't I get that on Waze?
I want to take route 101 to San Francisco from L.A. Why can't I do it? It is not a choice of route and I can't adjust the route. Also, why does it keep sending me thorough TOLL roads? I don't want to go through tolls.

Center median police reporting
Report a police officer in the median of the road rather then reporing in your lane or the oncoming lane.
13 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

In some mountainous regions of Europe, it is necessary to take car trains. These trains are often very expensive, but unfortunately, Waze does not offer an option to avoid them. As a result, I unexpectedly lost several dozen euros. I kindly request that you consider adding a feature to avoid car trains.

Add north south west east direction when reporting from iPhone
Add preset when reporting anything to waze via iPhone to show which direction drivers will see the report. Accident. Police etc. This also should show in the text description of the report. Same lane or other can help and this may show on the map. But it's hard to tell exactly what lane it's in. Ie, car stopped on shoulder may look on map like it's northbound lane when it's really south. Add direction of travel preset similar to same lane button.

Shortcut to settings while navigating
I have one major piece of feedback. While one is driving and let’s say they decide during their route to avoid highways or toll roads, the user must stop the route, go to the settings, change the settings, reinsert the address and go. On Google Maps, there’s a shortcut to these settings so you don’t have to take all the those steps. Your app has to be safer to use. Let’s be real, people don’t always pull over to use their phone. When I’m in the middle of traffic and I have to go through all your steps to change…

Warn the track that the driver is
In some places of São Paulo, like Marginal Tiete and Pinheiros, the mobile GPS not really identifies which track you are (central, express or side) and this can make it difficult when it is done the route (or recalculated). It would be interesting that the user could "fix" warning in which the roads are really and so the waze calculate the route correctly.

About large vehicles
Waze currently does not support heavy vehicles. However, large vehicles also cause traffic congestion, so it would be better to deal with them in the future.
Supporting larger vehicles allows you to collect more information. This information includes important information for understanding traffic conditions, such as the location and situation of traffic jams and road conditions.
Collecting this information allows Waze to provide you with more accurate traffic information. This allows drivers to avoid traffic jams or choose the best route if they are stuck in traffic.
However, supporting large vehicles also increases the burden on the server. Therefore, a…

A new feature designed for planning a trip with friend pickups along the way to the final destination. To avoid significantly extending the route or creating major detours, instead of entering the exact addresses of friends as stops, there should be an option to pick them up from a location close enough to their homes but not too far off the main route—such as a spot that is about a 3-5 minute walk from their homes in the direction of the planned trip.
It should be emphasized that this is not an economic model, but rather a way to optimize…0 votes -
More information for the Editor when opening UR
ENGLISH:
Problem:
Often the UR (User Report) arrive to us without information, even trying to contact the user we do not get a good response rate, so much is that most open URs are closed as UNIDENTIFIED.
Improvement: When opening a UR you could get more information for the publisher in WME as
Route Start Location
Destination of the Route
Location source (Waze Database or Google Maps)
APP configuration information that user uses as Avoid Dirt Road, Toll, Expressways etc.)You may ask me: The user would not have privacy. In parts yes. When you open a UR,…
