   I would like to suggest adding an estimated fuel cost indicator to route options, similar to how CO₂ emissions are currently displayed.

   Why this would be valuable:

   • Drivers naturally compare time vs cost when choosing a route.
   • While CO₂ information is useful, fuel cost is often a more actionable decision factor for everyday users.
   • Having this directly inside Waze would avoid the need to use third-party apps for cost estimation.

   Proposed implementation (simple & non-intrusive):

   • Add an optional field in vehicle settings:
   • Average fuel consumption (L/100km or MPG)
   • Fuel type
   • Use official regional fuel price data (e.g., government sources where available) or average local price.
   • Display the result as an approximate estimate (e.g., “~€3.70”) below the route summary, similar to the CO₂ indicator.
   • Include a small note: “Estimated based on your declared consumption and average fuel price.”

   Why this fits Waze:

   • It does not change the core navigation experience.
   • It enhances route comparison without cluttering the UI.
   • It increases perceived value and user engagement.
   • It helps users make smarter real-world decisions.

   Even a basic estimation would already be extremely useful.

   If you add ultra marines please make them say something like "brother, turn left in 500m" you could also add the dreadnoughts, and if it's the heretics then before you start driving it could say "blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne"

6. change shape or proximity of the alert pop up choices to make it easier to hit with a finger

   Concerning the pop-up's for alerts: for example when one comes up for a car on the shoulder. The two choices are imprinted on two horizontal bars that are very close together. I find that sometimes although my finger is going to "still there" because the choices are horizontal bars and close together, a small deviation in the car caused me to miss and hit " not there". A suggestion therefore - why not have the choices a different shape, i.e. circular, and separated in a way that mitigates this issue ? I like this app by the way.

7. Suggest a faster route with Vignettes/passes

   This happens very often: You plan a trip. It should take e.g. 12 hours using highways.

   Then you open Waze and forget to add the pass/Vignette. The Waze offers you a route. You glance at it and don't see it is taking back roads on the overview, so you accept it and start driving...

   After 10/12 hours you realize you are only halfway there and you won't arrive to your accomodation on time (happens more than you'd think)... what happened? Waze didn't prompt you to add the pass/Vignette for a faster route.

   Yes, I have the option to offer the fastest route + toll roads allowed in the options. Still no offer to use the highway.

   It's confusing, especially if you need multiple passes/Vignettes to reach your location.

   E.g. driving from Czechia to Croatia can take you through Czech, Slovak, Hungarian (or alternatively Austrian), Slovenian and then Croatian highways. If you forget to add one of them, you can be routed through totally different countries then you expect... and the journey can take 4 instead of 2 days.

   Therefore I suggest Waze always checks and offers the fastest route with a prompt. Something like: "If you add these passes/Vignettes: [names], your journey may be 12 hours shorter."

    Desde Google maps, puedo planificar una ruta, con varios puntos intermedios y guardarla para hacer en otro momento, e incluso puedo compartirla. La verdad es que es una funcion que utilizo mucho, y me gustaria poder hacerlo también en waze. También es muy interesante el poder añadir puntos de interes, con diferentes iconos y listas para poder guardar esos puntos en el mapa y poder compartirlos. Y ya que tenemos una gran comunidad, podriamos hacer una especie de listas compartidas.

    The current Waze algorithm often reroutes users on long-distance trips without providing the underlying reason (e.g., specific accidents, road closures, or incremental traffic). While this "silent optimization" might work for short urban commutes, it represents a significant strategic failure for long-haul navigation for the following reasons:
    ​Safety vs. Efficiency: By prioritizing the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) above all else, the app frequently diverts drivers from well-monitored, high-infrastructure highways to poorly maintained or dangerous secondary roads to save a negligible amount of time. Without knowing why the route was changed, the driver cannot assess if the time-saving is worth the safety risk.
    ​Loss of Situational Awareness: On long journeys, a driver is a decision-maker, not just a data point. If the app detects a total road closure 30 miles ahead but only shows a new path, the driver loses the opportunity to make strategic choices, such as stopping at a service station to wait or choosing a different, safer detour.
    ​Algorithmic Opacity: The lack of transparency creates distrust. If the system suggests a detour without specifying the cause, the user is more likely to ignore the instruction, potentially heading straight into a major gridlock.
    ​Requested Feature:
    Implement a mandatory notification (visual or auditory) for significant route changes on long-distance trips, specifying the cause (e.g., "Route changed due to accident on Hwy X"). The driver must be kept in the loop to maintain safety and logistical control over the trip.

    Seria interessante criar atalhos na pagina inicial do Waze para que voce consiga definir o que é prioritario para você. Minha sugestao seria criar uns 4 ícones similares ao do spotify na sequência dele - Logo abaixo.
    Com esses atalhos, tenho em mente usar para reportar mais rapidamente eventos.
    Exemplo: um atalho para reportar um carro parado; um atalho para reportar um buraco; um atalho para reportar acidente: um atalho para achar os postos na sua rota.

    Sendo que você precisa definir quais atalhos quer usar.

    Could the gas price report function be improved, especially in these times with inflation.

    I am experiencing being "blocked" for updating gas prices, because Waze finds the new price unrealistic.

    In most cases this is due to the previously gas price was reported several days/months even years ago.
    E.g. was at at gas station where last update was 937 days ago, and since new price was double the previously amount the update was blocked.

    But I have also been to the situation where last price was only a week old, but since the gas price had dropped 15% since then an update was blocked too, because Waze found the new price unrealistic.

    Could the gas price report function be improved, especially in these times with inflation.

    Hi Waze team,

    I’m a long-time Wazer (5+ years), and I truly appreciate the app. However, I’d like to share some frustrating limitation:

    It’s much harder and slower to move around the map and select a custom point on the car screen. On the phone, it takes seconds. Many times I don’t know the exact address — I just want to navigate to a specific point on the map (e.g. a parking spot or entrance nearby). But CarPlay disables this. I have to disconnect CarPlay, set the destination, and reconnect — very inconvenient.

    Hi everyone!
    I often use Waze for long trips and I drive a CNG car. As many know, the network of CNG stations is not widespread, and every trip needs careful planning, especially when range is limited.

    Currently, Waze allows you to select the type of fuel, but it doesn’t manage range nor suggest mandatory stops when the route exceeds the distance you can cover with the remaining CNG.

    Improvement idea
    
    Add a feature that allows users to set:

    Total range (e.g., 350 km)

    Remaining range (e.g., 120 km)

    Fuel type: CNG

    During navigation, if the distance to the destination exceeds the remaining range, Waze could:

    Calculate the point where the range runs out

    Automatically search for CNG stations within reach

    Suggest a stop as an intermediate waypoint

    Prefer stations that are:

    along the route

    with minimal detour

    possibly cheaper

    open at the estimated arrival time

    Why this would be useful

    CNG has a much less widespread network compared to gasoline/diesel

    Drivers must manually plan every stop

    An automatic feature would reduce stress, detours, and risks

    It could also be extended to LPG and electric vehicles

    Real example
    
    Route: Venice → Brindisi (about 900 km)
    Range: 350 km
    Remaining range: 120 km

    Waze could automatically suggest stops in Rimini, Pescara, Foggia, etc., without the user having to search manually.

    Conclusion
    
    In my opinion, this would be a very useful feature and would improve the driving experience for many CNG car users.

Para mí, sobre todo, es muy útil e importante el poder indicar al momento los cambios de límite de velocidad de la carretera. Hace tiempo que se podía hacer directamente mientras se conducía. Ahora es cada vez más difícil. Además, poder indicar que hay un vehículo en la vía, ó un tramo cortado también es importante y útil.
