  1. Option to turn off alerts for road construction

    I can choose to toggle Road Constructions on or off for "Display On Map."

    I would like to be able to toggle off alerts for Road Constructions, specifically, under "Alerts on Route."

    Driving in Minnesota in the summer, it is a given that there will be road construction everywhere. It's nice to be able to see it on the map, and have the app use the information in its routing calculations, but I don't need an alert to tell me that it is there. It interrupts whatever else I am listening to, and it is not necessary to alert me…

  2. Mark bad quality road

    There are so many roads witch are paved, but the quality is so awful, its more like driving on dirt road or trail. Would be great to mark bad quality roads so I could avoid driving there and save my car instead of braking it driving trough. Of course there should be an option to avoid bad quality roads also in the Waze app. I hope to see this feature in soon future. Best regards

  3. What about allowing the users to REALLY contact you? I have a problem and the "Help page" does not help at all.

    I have a problem and the "Help page" does not help at all. Why the hell you don't allow a direct contact?
    If I cannot solve my login problem I will have to delete the app

  4. Pause audiobooks during Waze alerts

    I listen to a lot of audiobooks (via Overdrive app) while using Waze to navigate, when I get a Waze alert or prompt though Waze will talk over the audiobook rather than pause/resume it. It's very annoying and I often miss what the narrator is saying and have to back it up. I wish the audiobook could be paused while the Waze alert is given and then pick right back up again afterwards.

  8. Route Preview Option

    You select a route, then press the "Route Preview" button. Map view will then zoom to your current location and travel down the selected route as if you were driving. The map pans down the route so that you can see all the things you will be dealing with along the way without having to scroll around the map with your finger. Adding a "preview speed (1x, 2x, 3x, etc)" and a "pause preview" option would be a great addition to this.

  9. add friend by username

    I would like to add friends by their waze username. As a long time adapter of waze, I always found it odd that I couldn't add friends by username. WIth social media being so open, there are still users who feel waze does not need to know their phone number and shares the drive just fine through email and text messages. It is unfair to only allow people to connect by giving up personal information or using social media. A person's location is private information and should be allowed a more private way to share it if needed.

  10. When I arrive at a navigation destination, show the address

    Frequently when I instruct Waze to navigate to an address, I don't readily know the address but have looked it up in an addressbook or email. When the destination is reached, Waze shows a checkered flag on the street, but it would be very handy to have the address displayed so I can identify which particular dwelling I'm going to

    In addition to an alert for police vehicles that are mobile - it would be nice for some kind of an alert for airborn police. I was traveling a week ago and spotted what was most likely an police airplane but there was no useful way to report it.

  12. When the volume bar is dragged to zero, the navigation voice directions still lower the volume of my music. Please change this.

    I use the navigation, visually, but not the voice. As I can not find a mute button, I have instead dragged the volume slider all the way to 0.

    I then listen to music on my phone in the background through car speakers. Whenever there is a voice navigation queue, although the voice has no volume so I can't here it, waze still lowers the volume of my music for the duration of the direction, as such, my music seems to just lower the volume periodically which is rather annoying.

  13. Sort searches by smallest deviation from the route

    When I create a route and then try to search a place (within the categories), the list shows the closest places, but it doesn't mean the smallest deviation from the original route. The results should be sorted by smallest deviation or by smallest increase on ETA.

  15. Support ODB bluetooth dongles

    Allow the use of an ODB bluetooth dongle to get a number of improvements. These dongles are quite cheap and provide a wealth of extra data. Possible uses:

    Using the actual vehicle speed combined with compass, accelerometer and map matching it should be possible to have accurate positioning in tunnels/urban canyons. TomTom does this and is able to do near-perfect positioning with only one GPS datapoint every 30 minutes.

  16. Speed cameras alert

    Sometimes we need the option for Speed Camera alert to sound regardless of the vehicle speed (up or down the permitted speed).
    Now you can only select 5% overspeed.

    I think it's time to add new methods to add friends in the app.
    Not everyone has Facebook so I thought, how about using these services too?
