Center the elevation in the box
When editing the elevation, currently the number in the elevation box is left justified. This puts it right next to the negative (-) sign making it look like it is a negative elevation.
I recommend center justifying the number to make it more obvious what the actual number is.

Stick to main roads - in UK
Alongside the ‘avoid single track’ vote I also suggest there is a ‘stick to main roads’ option. Waze seems very keen to send me down twisty side roads where it’s hard to pass as there are cars parked on both sides, it sends me down country lanes which are NOT faster and through little villages, which, although scenic, can be very tiring on a long journey. Also, the side streets and single track lanes often lead to a tricky right turn (UK) onto a fast road, even a tricky left turn. I like Waze for the notifications of speed limits,…

Display clogged and cluttered with senseless labels of streetnames
Quite often, in dense areas, the display of my cellphone is cluttered with adjacent streetnames shown as big labels. These labels/names hide the map details (i.e. approaching turns, exits etc.). So I am distracted by zooming in and out and panning the screen.
I would REALLY like the opportunity, to switch OFF the streetname label.3 votes -
Allow for combined speed/red light cameras on map edits
Australia has combined speed and red-light cameras, so we need to be able to add this new type of camera.

Make editor impact more obvious
Drivers get a regular report of their reporting impact, such as how many reports and how many people were impacted and helped. It would be nice if WME did something similar. Perhaps in the editing history show some statistics to allow editors to see their impact for edits.
Such as:
Segments: Give a rough estimate of how many drivers navigated to a destination on this segment or traversed the segment (such as navigated to a PP with a stop point or to a HN).
Places: How many users have searched for / navigated to this place.
Under each edit in…

Phone number extensions
Enable editors to add extensions to phone numbers by adding a semicolon after the completed phone number. This way, mobile phones will automatically dial the extension for a user.

Place Hours: Sunrise to Sunset
When adding Places, especially outdoor places (such as parks, playgrounds, beaches, etc), there are often posted hours saying the Place is open only sunrise to sunset, or conversely that the Place is closed sunset to sunrise. Unfortunately, the existing Place hours interface doesn't allow for these kinds of hours, only HH:mm times. As sunrise and sunset times change constantly, and in some places drastically due to orbital motion of the earth and time changes due to daylight savings times, it is impractical to estimate open/closing times using HH:mm formats.
It would be beneficial to both app users and map editors…

Make new editors complete a quiz on the wiki before they can edit.
After being locked out from editing after a bad user last year and only regaining editing permissions early this year, I was thinking you could create a compulsory quiz that new editors have to complete before they can edit the map. This would help prevent rogue users that don't understand what their actions do to the maps and creating a better editing experience for everyone.

When updating places on the map should grant points per change or addition made
Every change or addition made to a place on the map should grant an edit point for every change or addition e.g. presently if I select a place on the map and link to google and include phone number this will grant only 1 point. Make it 2 to give incentive to do more and better corrections to places on the map

Don't display a connection node where there isn't any connection
If one segment touches another segment somewhere in the middle it should be visible if there are two or three segments. Think of a T-crossing. At the spot where the segments meet a dot is displayed, which suggest there is a connection, but sometimes there isn't any: instead of 3 segments there are only 2. Better only display this dot when there is really a connection.

Personalizing dashboard option for frequently used notifications to improve posting time
Create the ability for users to select a handful (3 or 4) user-selected notifications of common notifications they post in Waze as the notice them on the road so they can access them directly from the Waze dashboard in the Waze app on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Also create the option for Waze users to update or change the notifications they want to show and have quick access to on the Waze dashboard.
This would improve the customer experience of using the app, improve the amount of notifications submitted by Waze users, and minimize the time lost by Waze…

Smoke on Road
Users should have the possibility to report a common danger in the road: Smoke. It can be from wildfires as described in another suggestion, however roads are not necessarily closed.
We have dangers like "ice on road" or "snow", however those are never used in countries where winter never gets below 0°C (or is highly unlikely). On the contrary, every year there are fires causing road hazards with visibility dropping considerably.

- new route guidance box and fonts too large make smaller.
- too many icons on display map . Have them go to sleap after 30 seconds. Too much of the map is lost.

ability to write/entered info while reviewing images in UR
Hi
It is difficult when accepting user requests (if they contain a picture) and a name is not entered, for example.. to transfer the name from the shop board and to write at the same time.. because the way pictures are displayed in the map editor prevents you from writing if you only display any A picture, why can't we write in the side panel of the information and at the same time look at the pictures "the store's billboard" and transfer any information from it so that everything is added accurately?6 votes -
Use of alternate city names for routing
Several years ago the decision was made to use the postal city as an alternate city name for routing to addresses in rural areas. According to Wazeopedia "Waze founder and CTO Ehud stated in a US meetup that a search algorithm is so much work to build correctly and maintain, that Waze does not want to spend the time, money or energy to build their own, and are happy to stack the Waze matching process on top of the Google search algorithm." As a result, WME editors have spent untold time and energy adding the postal cities to these segments.…
