Partners polygon layer
Hello,
Thanks to the Waze for Cities program, we are happy to have more and more partners, either for road management (Connected Citizens) or for event management (Global Event Partners).
For those who do not know the details, you should know that a partner benefits from one or more polygons that characterize their rights area (data flows to or from Waze, closures, MTE).
The community being very involved, and always on the lookout for modifications to be made in WME, or closures to be programmed, it often happens that our closures or our editions conflict with their closures.

Add an Option to keep or Removed Wazer icon from URs
With the new Release, we got a new UR icon design that has the Wazer on it, and i have seen many different opinions about it.
i think it would be great to have an option to decide how you want your URs to look, either have the Wazer on it or without the Wazer on it. as there is a lot of editors that like the new look, but there are also some that would like to have it as before. so this would solve this problem without removing the new look of the URs.15 votes -
MTE Temporary parking lots
Very often during large events, temporary parking lots are created for the duration of the event, it would be very useful to be able to create in the WME these parking lots only for the duration of the event.
It is not possible to do this now because we have to wait for the map update.33 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Incorporate the Top "X" scripts into native WME
Given the recent injection of malicious code into scripts used by the majority of experienced editors
https://www.waze.com/discuss/t/urgent-two-scripts-were-compromised-on-feb-1-please-read-if-you-use-scripts/365499
I strongly urge Waze relook at the Top "X" scripts that were identified several years ago and incorporate them into native WME.These scripts serve several functions
1) Increase navigation precision: JAI (mentioned above) is absolutely needed for experienced editors to determine the angles and thus, the turn announcements when one moves from one segment to the next
2) Speed up editor time: ColorSpeed (also mentioned above) and others, like LaneTools or Road Shield Assistant, provide a quick visual on the overall WME…95 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Allow Junction Boxes and Paths to exist together
When editing, there are many times that you need to restrict a turn that would require the use of a Junction Box (JB) to accomplish. The issue is that if a different route, that does not fit in the JB, needs to have Paths set up, we have to choose one or the other.
We need the ability to set Paths through a JB

Expand external visual cue on mouseover
Several years ago the WME interface was changed and it reduced how much information was visible when adding an external provider. You could no longer see the difference between two entries because the text simply isn't visible and longer place names make it worse. Editors would have to select a provider to see the address and determine if it was correct. If it was not, they would have to search again and select another entry. Repeat the process until you find the correct entry. If there is no entry, you have tried five different times to find out. For some…

Flag Waze segments for addition to Google Maps
If an editor adds roads to Waze and sees they aren't in Google Maps, we have to add them using the Google Maps interface. This does not include access to additional imagery which can make it easier to make the updates.
With the increased data exchange between Waze and Google, it makes sense to have a button to flag sections of the Waze map for incorporation of high priority changes rather than having to map the area twice.

New Satellite Imagery available for L1
By making various satellite imagery layers available to L1 editors, we can eliminate the need for them or other editors to re-analyze areas and significantly boost their productivity.

ICON Change on RTC for Turns
Currently when you select a segment with an RTC on a turn arrow, you just see the white fence/barricade icon that you see on the node. You then have to hover over the turn arrow, then click on Turn Closures and go to the window that popped up to see if these are active or finished.
I would like to see the icon changed to the the Red Closed symbol when active, like we see on segments when they are actively closed, and then the grey circle we see when they are finished. It would help tremendously in deciding if…

Road Closure without Re-Routing
When we are doing closures on inter-regional roads, particularly in Canada, there are routes where there are no alternate routes available. Or maybe there is an alternative route, but that alternate route exceeds the likely closure duration or is a day+ detour.
If the editors, a partner, or even a data feed places a closure on these segments it will either
a) break routing entirely - it simply cannot find a route
b) find some route with unverified segments from the basemap import, which is an unmaintained/decommissioned road. (this isn't good experience - other apps like gMaps does this constantly). …13 votes -
House number editing no longer shows reason for HN error
With the recently released change to how we edit house numbers, we no longer see information of why there is a problem (wrong side, already exists, etc). This functionality needs to be added back, or the actual error needs to be added to the error message, so we understand what the issue is.
Details were provided in this beta post.

keyboard shortcut for adding POI
A significant workflow inefficiency within the Waze Map Editor (WME) currently stems from the lack of keyboard shortcuts for adding Points of Interest (POIs). Users are required to rely solely on mouse interaction – hovering over the POI menu and clicking the desired category – every single time they need to add a new point.
This becomes particularly tedious for editors who frequently utilize specific categories. For instance, I personally rely heavily on the 'OTHER' POI category. This isn't for standard points, but rather as a necessary workaround to map complex Residential Place Points (RPPs) or House Numbers (HNs) that…39 votesGreat timing! We’re currently working on the keyboard shortcut for adding a POI. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.

Update current MAP PROBLEMS scanning to disconnected nodes
It is becoming increasingly difficult to identify two segments that are very close to each other but not connected. Sometimes they even sit on top but until you click them, you don't realise that they are not connected.
This leads to many routing issues and is not identified till there is a UR or a chance visual by an editor.
Validator script and Checker.Waze help with this but you have to be at the location editing. It would be really nice if this "disconnected segments with nodes within 5 metres of each other" could be natively searched by Waze scanner…

Additional Imagery requests feedback
With the great feature of Additional Imagery, we can make requests for updates using "The Button".
If the imagery update meets our needs, we should be able to confirm that it did (like a thumbs up for alerts in the app).
If we get an alert that imagery has been updated, but the imagery is not sufficient (not new enough, clouded over, etc), we have to submit a new request. Instead of submitting a new request, there should be an option to reopen the original request to get newer/clearer imagery.
As is, there is no easy way to provide feedback…

Adding Traffic Lights to the Map
It would be very helpful if Waze displayed traffic lights on the map. This feature would allow drivers to better anticipate delays at intersections, adjust their speed smoothly, and avoid sudden braking or collisions. It would also improve the accuracy of travel time estimates and help Waze suggest alternative routes that avoid long red lights or heavy congestion. Additionally, showing traffic lights would assist drivers in timing their turns more effectively, reducing the chance of missing them due to unexpected stops or light changes.

Segment history - moved house numbers
When looking at segment history, you can see details of house numbers that have been added or removed. When the position of the house number is changed, the history says "House Number: Missing Data". It would be better to list the house number and that it was moved.

Traffic Event date selection
When adding a Traffic Event, when you select the beginning date and time, the end date and time should default to the same date. This would be similar to how closures work (add a closure and the start time is the current time, end time is the same day at midnight).
