  3. Possibility to adjust fuel prices with WME.

More and more gasoline prices are no longer kept up to date by Waze users. To ensure that people in my region can see the current prices at the gas stations, I now enter these via the app. This takes a lot of time. I would like, and many others probably with me, the option to enter these gasoline prices via WME.

  4. Add permanent user based Hazard markers to the map (to assist when local authorities don't flag))

I came up with this idea after getting incredibly tired of flagging a long term roadworks hazard that's turned a two-way piece of road into to automated stop light controlled one-way travel. That fact that none of the road authorities here in NSW, Australia, who can tag such things (such as the NSW TMC) still have not after some 6 months (as compared to recently flagging another identical set of long term roadworks in another area I travel through). This has prompted me (thanks to another member's suggestion) to post the idea of the idea of allowing users (maybe more…

  5. Name field for RPPs

I propose to add a name field for RPPs: "Building name"

It should be an optional field, ideally with some help text besides/below it to remind users in which cases they should fill this in.

It can be used for condo complexes that carry a name or even retirement homes / long-term case homes (which currently have no real category.)

Obviously, it should not be used for uses as "my home" or "my friend's home"

In WME, we're getting a lot of place requests for condo towers, because users love to add names and then can't figure out in which…

  6. 3000 modifications to reach level 2 !!

I am disappointed to have to make 3.000 modifications to reach level 2 ... 25,000 for level 3 and 100,000 for level 4!
    It's a 24 hour job!
At level 4 approval from the team and local experts is needed ... stupid!
it's easier to get into the FBI!
With my 56 edits that I'm so proud of ... I'm ridiculous!

  7. Improve comments from other users on Closures and Reports

When other users comments on Closures and Reports I have submitted they show as a pop-up in the app and then disappear, forever! These comments are nowhere to be found. Not in the app inbox, not in my e-mail.

The only way to reply is to find the closure or the report on the map. But for an L5 editor like myself who puts dozens of closures around the country every week, that's useless.

Can you please improve how these comments are handled?

    Thanks, Yanis.

  8. Tell us if the reporter closes their own report

    (Copied from https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1525&t=228417)

Please tell us if the reporter has closed their own UR (don't need to know their username).

Quite often a UR is closed by an editor, and it gives their username in the email and closed UR. The problem is we aren't told if this is just some random editor, or the reporter themselves.

It annoys me when an editors closes URs without comment, as it goes against etiquette, but I wouldn't be so bothered if I knew it was the original reporter. If it wasn't the original reporter, then we could follow up with the…

  9. Show conflict choice option on deleting junction node

    (Copied over from https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1525&t=229014)

If you try to delete unneeded junction node, but it can't be deleted due to a conflicting option between then, at the moment you need to inspect each segment to see what the differences are. This is especially frustrating when there may be a hidden speed limit set on a one way segment.

Can a dialog box pop up on deletion of a junction node if there is a conflict to allow the editor to select one of the conflicting settings for the newly joined segment?

    OR

Create an error message saying the junction node…

  10. Differentiate Visiting Helpers/Raiders from True Area Managers

Please differentiate between visiting helpers/raiders and true Area Managers. At present, temporary map raiders and other visiting helpers are typically provided with editable area by granting them "Area Manager" status. As a result, community tools do not distinguish between visiting helpers and dedicated local managers. This can confuse editors, particularly beginners and visitors, who want to identify a true Area Manager for a region in order to open a conversation on local issues. It may also demoralize true Area Managers when the same status they worked hard for, and feel proud to have been granted, appears to be granted with…

  12. Set up an autoreply for the UR message notification mails

Every so often, we still encounter people who send a reply mail to the UR message notification mails. Sometimes Wazers do this when they're unable to respond in any other way, but usually they just do this out of habit. The mail address itself clearly indicates it shouldn't be used to get a reply (no-reply@waze.com), but in many mail clients mostly the name ("Waze Map Editor") gets shown.

I'd like to therefore propose the addition of an autoreply mail whenever someone sends a message to the no-reply@waze.com inbox. I know it's ironic to send replies from a mailbox…

  14. Allow high-level editors to assign low-lev editors a higher level for a defined area

Allow high-level editors to assign low-lev editors a higher level for a defined area.
In active areas of constructions/modifications of new/existing roads there might be a lot of adjustments of primary roads/highways (L4/5) which a midlevel (L3) have better local knowledge of the progress.
Today we have to request that a set of segments have be opened (lowered level) and later restored.
I propose that a high level (L5/6) editor can assign a user a higher level for a specific area and maybe specific time-period (the same way as a comment can cover an area)

  15. Hide Name Checkbox

In an effort to reduce clutter, and provide more information to the user, it would be nice to be able suppress display of the name of certain objects on the map. Parking lot areas, drive through lanes, private community roads, etc. could all benefit from this kind of feature.
The end result could be something like "Turn right into Costco Customer Parking" without a bunch of segments that are visibly named like that in the client.

  16. A place with an expiration date

I would like to suggest adding an expiration date to a place. When the expiration data is reached the place deletes it self from the map. This option is good for places such as events like weddings, parties, sports tournament etc..
Today, many such places which their event date passed exist on the map and nobody remembers to delete them and the map gets loaded.
The expiration date default would be of course - No expiration so that new places would not be deleted.
Such an option is already implemented in Map comments.

  17. Different route choices...

I live in Phoenix and try to avoid I-17 it is a terrible highway narrow and heavy traffic and lots of accidents. It seems like waze always sends me to I-17 whenever going north and south. I started using google maps it gives me choices. Is there a way to get choices on Waze?

  18. Option to select all segments in a closure at once

It happens that a road closure has to be adjusted (end time changed) or removed. It would be very useful if you could select all segments that belong to a road closure directly at once, eg based on start / end time, description, MTE.
(this can be especially useful for large scale works, closures with many small segments, or if you have to work in WME frequently on a mobile device)

  19. Facilitate the addition/editing of rivers, lakes and water cover

Drawing large rivers on the map, for example, is torture. Although there are scripts that "help" the task, Waze should add its own feature to add water covers, instead of the place editors as it is today.

My suggestion is that each type of water cover has its own type of editor. For example, to draw a river, the editor draws a line that follows the direction of the river and chooses the width, Waze then fills in smoothly, that is, with several "dots".

Another suggestion is the possibility of connecting aquatic elements, such as connecting the river to a…

  20. Editing permissions - change request

I suggest to chane some editing pernissions as follows (the current required level is given in parenthisis):

    1. Giving a "narrow street" road type to a segment: 3 (1)
    2. Entering a TBR / TBTR (this includes difficult turn and toll road designation): 3 (1)
    3. Enter a turn instruction override: 3 (1)
    4. Delete a segment that someone else created: 3 (2)
    5. Create a new MTE: 4 (1)
    6. View RTC details (view only): 1 (4)
    7. View of house numbers: 1 (2)
