Allow photo evidence of map errors
Allow photo evidence of map errors.
Sometimes trying to explain what error happened while driving is difficult to upload (while driving) and difficult to explain (after the fact) but allowing someone to upload a photo of the map when it is performing an error is much easier. It’s 2024. Why isn’t this a thing yet?

Change the road type to "Under Construction"
Enter the road type "Under Construction" instead of using other road types to consider segments under construction.

Keep usernames in WME history instead of "inactive user"
Whenever an user is banned or deletes his/her account or just mysteriously (!!) loses his/her account, all edits in history will be shown under name "inactive user" with a link to 404 page.
Just, for the sake of history, please keep the original username in history and add a little remark that the account is inactive/deleted/etc..

Automatically select road name text when editing
In the latest version of WME, when you open up the "edit" dialog to adjust a street name, and then click on the text box for "name" or "city", it drops the cursor at the end of the box. It would be nice if the existing text in the box is highlighted so you don't have to manually select the text to clear the box when editing the name of the street or the city name

Off road / Unmaintained road should not have the unpaved option
The "Off-road / Unmaintained road" type is almost always unpaved, and in cases where it is paved, it is not to be treated as paved. Thus the "Unpaved" attribute of such a segment is not needed. Moreover, it may sometimes cause an unwanted route when there are some segments that have the unpaved attribute whereas some don't have that attribute.
I suggest removing that attribute from that type of segment.35 votes -

Include layers settings NOT marked as default
Hello, I am almost sure that I am writing a duplicate of a proposal here. However, I have not found anything in a hurry.
What is a minor annoyance in daily editing and helping new editors is clicking on permalinks that contain layer settings. Unfortunately this option is turned on in the default. My suggestion is I think quite simple to implement. By default this function should be deselected. If you have to send your layer settings (there might be reasons to do so) you have to check this option actively."64 votes -
Event based restrictions
Sometimes for major events and after major emergencies (wildfires, hurricanes, flooding) there are roads that are open to residents but not to the general public.
I would suggest something that can be applied like a real time closure, but acts more like setting the road to private so it allows routing onto the segment but not through the segment.
This may be related to Permanent Hazards instead, but however it is implemented it should not require a tile update.

"Check and try again"
Save error suggestions should provide useful, actionable info to the editor to help them know what to do to solve the problem.
"Check and try again" isn't helpful. Check what?

Add keyboard shortcut for issue resolution buttons
Please add keyboard shortcuts for the Green and Grey buttons ("Not Identified" and "Solved" or their equivalents) options within URs/PURs/MPs.

Disable and restore to default of the issue tracker filters
Please add two important features to the issue tracker:
1. Temporarily disable all filters in the issue tracker (show all URs, PURs etc.), without changing the filters, so that the editor can later on enable the filters in order to have the defined filters without the need to redefine them.
2. Restore the issue tracker to its default state, so that all the previously changed filters will be returned to their default state.
These features will be very useful.41 votes -
Road layer: if disabled, enable when clicking an issue tracker koi suggestion, not after accepting/rejecting
When a user decides to have the road layer off, there is probably a good reason for that / he knows how to turn it back on when he wants to.
It would make more sense to enable it when the user first clicks on the suggestion on the issue tracker, not when one gets accepted (I think it's not needed, but it would be more beneficial for the unlikely use case "the user switched off the road layer by mistake, is not realizing it and now wants to add segments that are already there4 votes -
Inserção de pontos de portaria e/ou guarda.
Seria interessante a inserção de pontos de entrada/saida de acessos lindeiros, portarias, guardas ou entradas de condomínios, Etc. Incluindo restrição de visitantes e horários de aceso autorizado.

Enable Voice alert for approaching Speed bumps
Hello Waze Team,
It would be so helpful for all Wazers to receive Voice alerts when approaching a speed bump so that we can prepare ourselves to slow down before approaching the speed bumps, as actually speed bumps has been added but it does not appear or notify you via voice alert that we are nearing a speed bump.
Grateful to look into adding voice alert when approaching speed bumps.
Thank you,
Kushal

Enable zoom keyboard shortcuts (Shift + up/down) when Streetview is open
Zoom keyboard shortcuts (Shift + up/down) are not working when Streetview is open. Please bring them back :)
They were intentionally disabled apparently - see forum post for more info: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2362272

Zoom in to selected map suggestion
When we select a map suggestion in the Issue Tracker, the map is centered on the suggestion, but the zoom level isn't changed. The map should zoom in to the suggestion.

Oval roundabouts
Hi,
Is it possible to draw a roundabout not only in the horizontal or vertical oval direction, but in all directions?
If you have a roundabout that runs from northeast to southwest oval, you can currently only mark it like this by hand.

Issue tracker, disabling automatic refresh after closing for example UR
Issue Tracker is otherwise good but one part of it's behaviour is driving me nuts!
When you close for example an UR it refreshes the list automatically -> You lose track where you were on the list. So you end up clicking same reports over and over again every time you close something...
I liked the old UR list behaviour better when solved one's stayed on the list until you refreshed it, you never lost the track where you were on the list. And there is a refresh button on Issue Tracker so WHY does it also have to refresh…
