  1. Remove Two-Way Segments

Two-way segments are very rarely necessary and are very often overused by map editors to oversimplify maps. Even the smallest "two-way roads" have at least one lane dedicated to each of the two directions. Having each segment representing a single roadway will permit maps and navigation that are more intuitive to the users of the app, and perhaps help avoid the tendency of editors to try to combine separate roadways into one segment.

  2. Color-coded according to speed in editor

A feature that had been good when you are editing speed limits would be to go into a "Edit mode for the speed limit" just as the house number.
That all roads would be color-coded according to speed. and roads with no speed would be gray, so you can easily see which roads have the limitation and which have not.

Another thing that would be great is that you can put limits whereever on the road and not just at a crossing. Again, just as the house number.

  3. Make it possible in editor to mark where the main lobby is for businesses

It would be awesome if we could have the ability to mark where the front/main lobby is for business, such as hotels and hospitals. As a delivery driver, I have a hard time for finding entrances to business in strip malls as well, so being able to mark them would not only help delivery drivers, but everyone else as well.

  4. Map Editor - More edit room than driving area

Allow editors to have more room to edit than just the area they recently drove. This would allow editors to help each other out better than they currently are. For example I'm a L1 and I've had multiple people help me and they couldn't help edit anything b/c they haven't been to my area which caused confusion when they tried to explain what they see and how to fix it. I've also wanted to help in other areas that I can't drive to on a normal basis and can't because I haven't been there recently. Removing editing restrictions on area…

  5. More options for the business hours for shops or places (WME)

In the WME, I guess we can modify the option available to define the business hours.
In France and I guess in other countries, some shops or places are closed for lunch. We should be able to define the duration of the break between morning and afternoon.
in the same way, some shops or places don't have the same business hours for each day, so we should be able to define the business hours hours day by day.
Last point is that depending on the seasonality shops or places ( for exemple on the west coast in france) don't have…

  7. Make speedtraps work like House Numbers on WME

Speedtraps are hard to edit correctly on WME.
They don't snap properly, and a lot of times, they don't give a warning (when you're above the speed) because they're not snapped correctly.
Make them work like house numbers: with a direct link to the road.
Also, we could have the option to mark a speedtrap as "both ways" to reduce clutter on the navigation screen and speed up the work of Editors.

  8. Improve satelite image

In "Valera, Venezuela" the satelite image of Google is a real mess. I really loved the former images from the waze map. Do something google because your satelite image is not helping me to edit the roads in my city

  12. Let's hide roads built in a small number of satellites

Do, please, so that if waze sees at least three satellites, it does not display those tracks in the map editor. It often happens that you forget to disconnect waze and go in the building. Satellite reception quality decreases. And in the editor there is a lot of chaotic tracks around the building. This prevents debris find tracks of roads that were built when waze seen enough satellites for precise positioning.

  13. Drive to Feature on Cartouche

While editing the map I would like a separate layer so that I can make notes and pin it to areas of the map that I would like to visit. These online notes should only be viewable by the user who made the notes. It would also be necessesary to navigate to these Points of Interest and have the notes pop up so that pictures can be taken of the surrounding so that the Waze map can reflect real world situations out there on the road.

The Waze notes layer (home computer) and the Android phone should be synced so…

  14. Autodetect road types

Road classification seems to be a large source of disagreement and unecessary effort between map editors, part because we know it is used for routing.

The classification should be autodetected based on average speeds and not editable by users, like average speed.

  15. Route consistency and enhancements on editor route list

When opening the list of previous routes on the map editor, I'd suggest the following:

    • keep routes available up to a certain limit, ideally one year (like for example foursquare does with the checkins). More than one year may be too much data on the servers, but less than one year would be too short to look at older routes.
    • routes available on the editor should really be available. currently old routes are visible on the list, but then fails to load with a "permission denied". I can't understand if there's a time limit, or if the routes stop working…

  17. Address localization

lease allow localization of address field just as it is done in search results, so it would be possible to have "%{street} %{housenumber}" instead of "%{housenumber} %{street}" for some languages.

  18. Recommend change link for Parking Lot Operator Fixes

The "Add an operator to the list" link under parking lot operator selection makes it sound like you can only add new operator names.

Once you go to the link you see that the form is actually for more than additions; "Use this form to add, delete or replace parking lot operators that will be shown in the Client."

Recommend changing "Add an operator to the list" to the following "Operator list change suggestion". If you want a second line "(Add, Delete, Merge, or Spelling Correction)". This is more descriptive of what the form can actually do.

  19. Suppress Live Map Overlay

Recently a change to Live Map introduced an overlay and call to action footer with information on how to download the Waze app when the URL contains a permalink to a location.

    (Image attached)

While this is great for users that have not yet been introduced to Waze, map editors do not need to see it every time they open Live Map from within WME. Fortunately, if the following query string parameters are appended to the URL, both the overlay and call to action are suppressed:
While this is great for users that have not yet been introduced to Waze,…

    Hey!

    Thank you for this suggestion.
This suggestion is related to Live Map and not WME.

In addition, We don’t have the overlay anymore, and therefor we won’t move forward with the suggestion.

    Thanks!

  20. Selecting a search result shouldn't reset the zoom level

When using the WME search box to find a road, it would be really nice if WME could leave the current zoom level well alone rather than always resetting it to level 3.

Even if it just defaulted back to level 4 that'd be an improvement, but jumping back out to 3 means we then always have to zoom back in at least one step if we want to be able to select a street segment. And even at L4, anyone looking to do some work on point places would then need to zoom in one step more before they…
