I also created a sug via discuss. https://www.waze.com/discuss/t/change-fog-hazard-to-low-visibility/400565
For some time now I’ve been advocating for localized weather hazards in Waze that better reflect the country and season. For example, there shouldn’t be an option to report snow during summer, or in tropical regions like where I live where snow simply never occurs.
I understand that fully localizing hazards for every region might be a large undertaking, but I have a smaller, practical suggestion that could immediately benefit drivers in my country and likely many others as well.
My proposal is to change the “Fog” report to “Low Visibility.” In my country, fog is very rare, but we frequently experience bush fires and smoke, which can significantly reduce visibility and create dangerous driving conditions.
At the moment, users often report “fog” to represent smoke or other visibility issues, even though it isn’t technically accurate. By switching to “Low Visibility,” the report becomes more flexible and can cover a broader range of real-world conditions, making it more useful and accurate for drivers across different regions.

Great timing! We’re currently working on allowing Junction Boxes and Paths to exist together. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.

We plan to work on having a personal statistics of the routes taken in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

I’d like to suggest support for Live Notifications / Live Activities integration for Waze on both Android and iOS.
With the release of Android 16 QPR2, Google has introduced the Live Notifications API, giving developers the ability to display persistent, real-time updates directly in the notification shade, lock screen, status bar, and other system surfaces. Samsung’s rollout of One UI 8.5 also appears to expand support for these experiences on Galaxy devices. On iOS, Apple already offers similar functionality through Live Activities and the Dynamic Island.
Waze is one of the best real-time navigation and traffic apps available, which makes it an ideal candidate for this type of integration.
Some useful implementations could include:
• Current ETA with live countdown updates
• Next turn information and lane guidance
• Hazard, police, crash, and traffic alerts
• Trip progress and arrival updates
• Quick report buttons directly from the live notification
• Background navigation status without needing to reopen the app
• Better integration with wearables, lock screens, and Always-On Displays
This would make navigation feel more modern, reduce the need to constantly reopen the app, and improve safety by allowing users to glance at important information without interacting heavily with their phone while driving.
Since both Android and iOS now provide the framework for richer live navigation experiences, this feels like the right time for Waze to adopt it.
