    Global Champs know this was being looked into, but has been put on the back burner because different countries want it implemented in different ways. Turning it back on right now would result in mass spam in some countries that would be unworkable.

    Ask your peers to keep upvoting this to get it back on the radar of Waze. :)

    As we are currently moving forward with adding this for natural features, we'd like to implement that first, and then check back to see if this is still relevant after that feature is live.

    Hey,
    Thank you for this suggestion.

    Currently we won’t move forward with this suggestions as road-shields are assigned to streets and not to segments, which has higher benefit in the mapping process.

    If a user have editing rights to one of the segments on a street he/ she will be able to assign the road shield .

    Waze tells us that adding traffic events to closures is helpful in adding context to closures. So I agree, please make it easy for us to create events on the fly when adding a closure.
