  1. Enable/disable "Standby" via slide lock or confirmation pop-up.

The new "Standby" function is not as friendly as I thought it would be. Lets say you've arrived at your destination and have placed Waze on standby and a few seconds later, you realize that you've got a new destination you want check up on (ETA? Location?) or you just want check your settings...
    ERRR!
In order to access anything on the Waze app, it will trigger your device's GPS feature and if not mindful, your battery will pay the price (drain!).

Lie my subject title suggests... a slide-to-confirm standby, ON/OFF button, would be great.

  2. Radar de velocidade média - average speed radar

It would be interesting, in these new “average speed” radars, that along the section in question, the green progression bar that appears in the application on the left side would turn red whenever the vehicle exceeds the allowed average. Here's the tip.

Seria interessante, nestes novos radares de “velocidade média”, que ao longo do troço em questão, a barra de progressão verde que aparece na aplicação do lado esquerdo passasse a vermelho sempre que o veículo ultrapassasse a média permitida. Fica a dica.

  3. Your new version wastes my time....

Your new version is not better. It's a step backwards. You require an extra step to plan a drive - why? When I want to save a destination, why do I have to search for it? Why doesn't this version have the capability to add a previously planned / driven route?

And where is the feedback input? "Suggestions" are not the same as feedback...

  4. The traffic direction cant be seen

When someone post bad traffic on any street and the app navigate you via that street, you can barely see the direction of the traffic. So me as a driver have to lean and stare at a phone up close and thats very dangerous, you agree.. so my solution is, make the red/orange traffic line visible only on one side of the direction line. Depending on the direction of the traffic, if traffic is in opposite direction of ours the visible line will be on the left side/margin and vice versa. I hope I explained it accurate, its easier…

  6. Railway crossing notification reduce volume

The railway crossing notification is a loud ringing bell - make the sound 50% of its loudness. Currently, it's very disturbing while driving because it's incomparably louder than every other sound in the app. (Disabling this notification client-side is not a great workaround.)

  7. Bring back auto start route

My Waze is automatically starting when I start driving.
In the past it would check my calendar, if an appointment wit location is available it offers this location. Otherwise it would offer work/home as destination. After some time it started the navigation.

Currently Waze is still offering a destination. But I have to manually start navigating (which could be a huge fine)

I saw some old complaints about this function. But please bring it back with a setting for the people who don't like it.

  8. Handicap vehicle type

Iin addition to the existing types of vehicle (private, taxi, motorcycle), it would be good to have one for people with reduced mobility.
This would make no difference in navigation compared to a private vehicle.
The only difference would be the display of disabled parking spaces near the destination.
This could be a big help in a large car park, shopping centre car park or simply on the streets to help them find their reserved parking spaces.
I think there would be no problem marking these parking spaces in WME, either centrally, like EV chargers, gas stations, or manually…

  10. Retrospective report submission

The option to retrospectively report an alert for other drivers. Reporting alerts such as collisions, police activity, petrol prices etc can’t and shouldn’t really be done while driving (if driving alone) - but once at a standstill, or at your destination, the option to scroll back down your route and place the alert at the location worth mentioning would be ideal. - the orange button to do so only appears while en-route and your map “centered” using the compass, which takes you away from where you want to report the activity.

  11. Crashing issues on Android

I think waze is great, unfortunately it doesn't work on my new Samsung Galaxy Y Pro B5510. Every time I try to enter a destination or touch just about anything on the screen it crashes.

  12. Ability to swap sides for navigation and information

My Android Head unit in landscape mode has the navigation on the right side of the screen, and where to, menu and directions on the left.

In the UK with right hand drive and screen on the left I find this works for me. However, I'm sure that those in left hand drive countries may benefit from this being swapped around.

An option to "switch navigation position" or "driver seat position", would be ideal.

  13. Warn the track that the driver is

In some places of São Paulo, like Marginal Tiete and Pinheiros, the mobile GPS not really identifies which track you are (central, express or side) and this can make it difficult when it is done the route (or recalculated). It would be interesting that the user could "fix" warning in which the roads are really and so the waze calculate the route correctly.

Em alguns lugares de São Paulo, como Marginal Tiete ou Pinheiros, o GPS do celular não identifica realmente em qual pista você está (central, expressa ou lateral) e isso pode dificultar quando é feita a rota…

  14. Android Auto localized voice search

When using Waze for Android Auto, I would like an additional voice search icon to be available at the search input box. This voice search should work the same way as Waze for Android voice search works.

This is especially important for languages where the Google Assistant language is not supported. It would also be useful to find destinations when going abroad and localized place names are in a different language than what is set in Google Assistant.

This would reduce driver distraction a lot in many regions of the world I think.

  15. Suggestions to Improve Navigation and Safety in Waze

I have a few suggestions to improve Waze: First, please keep the name of the destination visible while driving—sometimes it’s easy to accidentally choose the wrong location. Second, when a speed camera alert appears, it covers the current speed, making it hard to know if I'm speeding—please adjust the layout to keep the speed visible. Third, it would be helpful to have an audible alert when there’s a speed camera or police nearby, so drivers don’t need to keep looking at the screen.

  16. Route nickname

Allow people to give names to their usual routes. I travel the same back and forth to work and use waze to determine which is faster. There are only 3 basic routes, and it would be great if I could chose a route and call it as I do in real life "front way', 'back way', 'side streets' etc, so I know easily which is which

  17. “Still going?”

I left for a destination an hour later than what the "plan to leave..." or "time to leave" notifications suggested which caused an error in the app (since I left later, the trip notifications no longer worked). So I had to type in my destination address manually. Maybe this issue calls for some kind of "life happens" measure where you implement a prompt that asks, "Still going?" That way, we can still tap the notification to initiate the trip in a jam—even/especially when we’re super leaving late.

  19. Customize your Waze map and route view when putting your phone on its side.

The arrow placement is not the best where I put my phone, and at third gear, I can't see where to go, and there is no way to customize the view.

  20. Misleading Voice contractions

When Waze voice is talking, the software uses English contractions. Two words contracted into one word. For example "you have" is contracted to the single word "you've". The use of contractions by Waze voice is misleading and can lead to drivers getting lost. Currently, when approaching your destination, Waze will say "You'll arrive in 1000 feet". This is confusing and can be misinterpreted as "You've arrived". Instead, Waze should NOT use contractions and instead speak each individual word. "You will arrive in 1000 feet." "You have arrived at your destination."
