  1. Add mile markers to client maps

    I travel on a lot of open stretches and would like to see an option for mile markers on waze maps. If no per mile, maybe every 5 miles or so. Good to sync the maps and also nice if someone were to need assistance along a desolate road with no references. In which case, you could scroll along the map to see which mile marker you were closest to.

  4. More Special Voices! Deadpool for example

    How awesome would it be to have Deadpool telling you what to do?! There hasn't been a special voice since C3PO and he would be a great one :) I love the special voices!

  5. A Known Jamaican Guided Voice on Waze - In Support of a non profit, KiDz HuB Media

    Currently Waze has a number of voices for guided voice. However, there is no Jamaican Voice, though lots of Caribbean nationals living in the USA and Canada use Waze as a means to get around. I think i would be really cool to have a reggae artist like a Shaggy, Tessanne Chin, or Machel Montano as an option for guided voices. This could be a great way for Waze to also support or bring awareness to a non profit that one of these entertainers support/endorse.

  7. Stop automatically rerouting to Waze's preferred route

    Your selected route should be "sticky" or require permission to change.

    Waze is great, we all know that. But there is one issue that is almost service-breaking. When I select an alternate route, as opposed to waze's preferred route, if I make one minor change (such as backing out to the left when Waze expected me to go right), Waze will put me back on its preferred route.

  8. Alert And/Or Settings/Navigation Option for Low Bridges

    Low bridges (rail and road) are an issue throughout Westchester County, NY and over-height trucks frequently strike these bridges. Apparently on S Main (Rt 1) in Port Chester, Metro North is reporting a low bridge as an object in the road (for several months).
    The problem here is, I would never consider a bridge as an 'object in road'. Rather, this alert distracts from looking at the low bridge warning signs. Drivers would pay attention to a permanent alert of a low bridge for this and other sites. Or for navigation by over-height vehicles, adding an option in settings/navigation to…

  9. Traffic lights navigation

    Mostly in cities, sometimes I'm used to get navigation guidance from people, telling me to "turn right at the 3rd traffic light ahead" or "turn left at the next junction ahead". I think such navigation method - by counting road & infrastructure elements, rather than calculating distance - could be useful and preferable for some people. It may require initially mapping all these road elements in order to enable it... I believe its worthwhile :)

  11. Lockscreen Route View

    After using the new maps on iOS 6 I could only come up with a little amount of good new features the maps app has. The most helpful one is that the route you are following is displayed on our lock screen, so you can lock your cellphone to avoid people to use your phone while using the gps to get to a please, and also to save some battery. So adding this feature of showing the route on the iPhone would be a great idea, just by the fact that on the road you want to have the information…

    We plan to work on having a lockscreen route overview on iPhones in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

  13. "Do not disturb" - silence for safety

    There are apps that block or mute messages and calls that interrupt the driver. Though, One must be aware, remember and start these apps before every ride. I recommend Adding a "silence" option in waze setting. The option should allow to block calls,messages, FB etc. individually or all at once.

    Thanks for your feedback. While this was on our roadmap, our plans have since shifted. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

  17. Increase the number of polygons on the map

    In Live-map the map is well drawed & high level detailed. But when i see same region in Waze-client its not looks so fine, because at least half of polygons was optimized. Its makes Waze-client looks badly & not so attractive.

  18. Autodetect closures and closed roads

    Waze should automatically detect closures and close roads without relying on Wazers to use the in-app closure function or on map editors to add them. Just as Waze can detect traffic and reroute, it could also detect when no one follows the directed guidance and there is zero traffic on a segment. Then when Wazer start driving on the segment again it could reopen.

    Google Maps (part of Google Geo) gets closure info from Waze. And Waze (part of Google Geo) should also get closure info from Google Maps. It doesn't now, and instead will route Wazers into a closed…

  19. Lane Guidance on Roundabouts

    When approaching a roundabout in the UK, waze will not tell me which lane I need to be in, to take my desired exit.

    This is something that Google maps does so WELL! Please consider adding this on waze.

  20. Automatically sleep Waze when disconnecting from CarPlay

    Hi, can an option be added to automatically put Waze to sleep after unplugging it from CarPlay? I don't need Waze to remain active once I've reached my destination, and when I get back into my car I usually start it manually myself.
