I would like to be able to reject one of the suggested routes, if I know that the road is closed, for instance, and have Waze offer another suggestion.
I would also like to be able to suggest an alternate route by entering a road or tapping the map, and have Waze give me the ETA and traffic information along that route.

Why can't we have the option to save the unique route that we've just driven? Sometimes there are preferences as to the path we prefer to travel in a segment of our trips as opposed to way Waze calculates it for us.

Waze defaults to Fastest Route which may send you on strange circuitous routes where Shortest Distance maybe desirable. Second, temporary Road closures may render Waze useless. I encountered this when a local Toll Road and the adjacent Access Road was closed for the day. I recommend adding the following routing options that should be selectable/modifiable when pulling up a list of Routes for Selection: Shortest Distance, Avoid Next Quarter Mile, Avoid Next Half Mile, Avoid Next Mile. For the Avoid Next routing, Waze should take into account the specified distance ahead and create possible routes to the left and right of the current route.

Em "rotas" > "visão do mapa", gostaria de poder "arrastar a rota traçada para ajustá-la ao meu caminho preferido. I think this is a great idea. My favorite route to work isn't neatly determined by things like 'shortest','fastest','tolls/no tolls'. I would like to be able to customize some common routes but then have Waze evaluate it compared to others and I could then decide if I'm willing to spend a little more time/distance to use my favorite route.

I have a preferred route for my commute, that is neither Waze's faster nor shorter router. My preferred route is based on user preferences that are not defined by Waze. Sometimes it is more economical, less hills, less turns, easier to drive, scenery, etc.

What I would like is for Waze to learn my preferred route, and then select my preferred route when I choose my destination. Perhaps each favorite can have a preferred route defined. I want to see on the map and alerts if there is a major problem along my route so that I could consider taking the alternative route. For example, my preferred route wouldn't be preferred if there was a traffic accident.

Another ideal feature that might make the solution simpler would be to display alternative route ETA's. As I come upon a junction to determine my preferred route, I can make my choices based on the alternative ETA's.

Hi. My name is Yasmine Perez. I am writing my "idea" because I have came across this issue many times. Waze does NOT have a "favorite" button that allows you to have a favorite route. There is a certain route Waze would normally take me and I doesn't show on the 3 suggestions of ways to go. Probably due to the traffic on the way. Whether there is traffic or not I liked that route. Waze not only avoids traffic but it shows you how long the route is and what time you will arrive. I know I like certain routes because I can become familiar with it an not take different routes all the time. I would like to have a favoite route button.

Yes, this is my biggest issue with Waze. I normally take a highway, but there is often a lot of traffic so sometimes the side roads are better. Waze sometimes gives me weird side road suggestions, never sure if they are better than my known side roads. I would like to be able to compare the time via normal highway route (which sometimes is no longer one of the 3 routes options), my preferred back road, and then whatever Waze wants to propose. It would be fine if I needed to program these "fixed route" comparisons in advance as part of my favorites.

It seems like Waze should be able to prompt you when something changes significantly on your route in real time and prompt you to choose whether you should stay on current route or select a new one.

For example. I enter a destination and choose a route. It will take an estimated 30 minutes to get there. Along the drive, say 10 minutes in, Waze can now see (because of traffic or an obstacle) that the current route will now take 45 minutes. It would be great if this triggered Waze to notify me of the change and to ask me if I would like to select a different route.

This could be subject to a threshhold (maybe a customize-able or select-able option) where say it only tried this when the route time changed by 25% or more or perhaps 50% or more.

couldn't agree more. waze NEVER learns my route... perhaps because my route takes 'side streets' that don't have as much traffic... or perhaps because they are 1 minute longer than the suggested route which... let's be honest... has a bunch of traffic and get's your there 5 minutes later than planned.

Sometimes I need to find an alternate route over a few blocks, or across town, but rerouting will only give me large scale options- across the state, for instance. This happens most often during interstate travel. The only work-around I have found so far is to add a destination along my route. That takes way too long for my immediate needs.

I can exactly to request this. It seems ridiculous that this feature is not already incorporated into the app.

I will also add a feature to not offer certain routes (If I mark it as "discard this option feature") even if is faster. there have been options in which the road is isolated, narrow, or damage and I rather not take the route again.

waze always offers routes that are subject to getting totally jammed, plus some minimally better routes during rush hour. I have a much more reliable and usually faster but longer route but can not compare it to the freeway route waze gives. if I could designate my preferred route as one to give me traffic and time to destination then the app would be immensely more valuable.
