construction zones - Ability to mark both the start and end of the zone.
Construction Zones - Ability to mark both the start and end of the zone. This would give everyone an idea on how long to expect any change to the traffic pattern.

Thanks for your feedback. While this was on our roadmap, our plans have since shifted. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Also chamge road color to indicate the zone.

You Must be able to mark the beginning and end of a construction zone, it is very dangerous as people do not slow down in time. I see you have said you will not implement this but this is extremely important. In my country almost all roads at some stage have construction that intrudes into the road and it lasts for several days to several months. When reporting construction it must have a "small" or "begin long construction zone" and "end long construction zone", as well as maybe the speed limit change and the time duration. Many construction zones run for months.

Please provide an option to specifically report construction zones

Already exists.
App: construction or road closed to mark a road closed right now for today.
Map editor: select the road segment and add restriction that has a known start and end datehttps://wazeopedia.waze.com/wiki/Global/Partial_restrictions#Segments

2) every work on the road (construction site) indicated by the wazer must have a beginning and an end (now there is only the beginning);

I agree, this should be a higher priority.

Yes they need to start and stop so you know how long construction is so you can take another route if you would like

Long term construction zones should be automatically reported by highway departments.

Wrong way chirp is way too loud on Android.

It takes FIVE commands to report a vehicle stopped. That is far too many and a distraction. You I'm sure know that drivers do this while driving although it should ONLY be riders.

Frustrating to be redirected around some construction, only to be sent into a road closure that I couldn't mark for others. Why is this not an option?

Great idea. Marking construction would be helpful. How do we do it?

How about construction, not constitution (oops)

How about constitution on shoulder?

USe the information that submit, ie. construction road closures.. and update the damn database. 1000's of people are inconvenienced because the Waze up isn't showing this construction that's been reported numerous times with pictures as proof. Washington Street in Waukegan Illinois is closed between N. West St. and N.Park Ave. This would include Glen Rock Ave. from N. Park Ave to Washington Street.

Re: Anonymous - August 19, 2016 23:47: "Construction" is Hazard > On road > Construction. But as Grant wrote, "it tends to be long stretches of road". On the interstates, it can be one or more lanes closed out of several for multiple miles.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I also wish there was an option just for construction, with options behind it of how many lane closures. Ex: on shoulder, 1 lane, or multiple lanes. This would be much easier and quicker to report than moving an arrow around.

I think it would be interesting to make the constrictions zones like a traffic zones and closed roads. Color them orange and white to let you know how long the zone is and even maybe note if there are closures or traffic control changes.
Rarely is construction a single site anymore, it tends to be long stretches of road. At least here in Minnesota.

I can't even find the construction zone icon. Where is it?
