Waze no telemóvel e Android auto ao mesmo tempo.
Por que não consigo usar o Waze no meu telemóvel e na tela do android auto ao mesmo tempo.?
Por exemplo do Google Maps, eu uso ele no ecrã do carro e também consigo abrir no telemóvel para digitar endereço e consultar rotas.
Já o Waze só me deixa usar o teclado do telemóvel para digitar, para mim é ridículo.2 votes -

Instalei no meu carro. Android, aparelho de 9". Não é Android Auto. As letras ficam pequenas, por volta de 1 mm. O Mapa também fica pequeno,
I installed it in my car (Multimedia). Android, 9" device. It's not Android Auto. The letters are small, around 1 mm. The map is also small, even at maximum zoom. The speedometer is about 12 mm. There should be an option to choose the map resolution.

With Android Auto : the position need to be read even in backplane !
To enable Waze on Android Auto, we need to disable the average energy consumption, because the position needs to be read in backplane.
The solution could be to enalbe Android Auto to read always the position, like Waze on the phone.

Info widgets on Android Auto
Recently, you have changed the location of the Info widgets on Android Auto (turns, ETA) from the left side to the right side of the screen. This change causes the readability of this info to be worse, since the text and the symbols become far from the driver. If there is a justification for this change, I suggest enabling the user to configure these widgets' location; otherwise, I recommend returning them to the left side of the screen.

Waze to initiate pre-determined reply to texts when driving
I want waze to initiate a pre-determined text reply automatically when I am driving, note automatically, so it switches on and off according to when I am driving using Waze. I would set my reply to say: "I'm driving at the moment so please call me as I can't read your texts but can speak to you using bluetooth. This text has been sent to you by Waze navigation app."

Re-introduce a feature. Back button (on android) re-centers map.
This is actually not new, but a feature I (and many people I've talked to) want back.
In the past, when you would roam around the map to check whats to come on your route, you could just press the default back button on android and it would re-center the map.
After recent updates, it doesn't do that anymore, and instead shows the dialog for shutting down. So not only we have to cancel that, but then find the button on screen to click to re-center.

Delayed Announcement
I have a 2014 Accord. When I am expecting the turn by turn directions I often find turns are announced (started announcing) before bluetooth has been allowed to connect for the direction, thereby cutting off the announcement by 1 to 2 seconds. Please allow slightly more time for bluetooth to connect for the call to come through the car speakers. I have an iPhone 6 plus

Android Auto horizonatal layout is horrible
The latest update made it far worse than it was before:
1. Can not start planned drives from Android Auto at all (WTAF?)
2. The default focus (when not using touchscreen in a car, but a wheel to navigate on the screen) is always in the wrong and illogical spot.
3. Alerts cover your current location which is annoying - and the current location is not centered on the screen (horizontal layout).
4. The current speed can also be covered with other screen elements when not navigating just viewing the map

Showing speed in Android app
On Android devices when I enable in Speed menu that always show my speed, I disable always notice, but show notice only if I drive faster than 15km/h, when I hit the limit (at 50km/h the 50km/h) I get a notice with a big traffic sign which cover the real speed. Please fix this issue. If I check notice always it should work like this, but without that checkbox it shouldn't. Thx. Balázs Kovács

Poderiam adicionar um plugin no Waze para se conectar ao OBD2 para usar a velocidade e a quilometragem real do veiculo, quando dentro de um túnel, ou até quando cai a conexão com o GPS, para poder postar um aviso, já vi carro parado em rota dentro do túnel em local perigoso, existem varios programas de obd2 e os aparelhos bluetooth estão baratos.

Waze Light for Android 8 low ram Express Bootup
im using Sygav auto android touchscreen stereo that has Android versiuon 8 that can't be updated to version 9 nor version 13. The current Waze 2025 loads up terribly slow and the keyboard needs to no longer popup as it makes Waze inefficient for start up route search. please make a light version that uses less ram and the keyboard no longer pop up as many people use Favorites < Home and Work button. Navigate to a saved place using voice command in android with google assistant
Navigate to a saved place using voice command in android with google assistant on Samsung S22 phone. For example, if I have a friend named Jim and enter his address as a saved place in waze and name it "Jim". Then shouldn't I be able to open waze and say: "Ok google, drive to Jim". When I do that now, google assistant responds with "Sorry I don't understand". Isn't that a pretty basic functionality? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Add fuel station and prices to CarPlay/Android Auto interface.
You can already access favourites and search for addresses, but it would be great to access a list of nearby fuel stations and their prices (fuel type and search radius in settings).

Fix the Android Auto Coolwalk version
The new version that supports the split view for Android Auto Coolwalk is awful. It completely kills off the main reason why people use the app, reporting.
This version makes me less safe on the road because it requires more interaction on the screen for me to report items. Furthermore, the reporting button is now incredibly small, which requires more focus on the screen to hit it while driving. The combination of more time looking at the screen and having to focus directly on it is a dangerous combination.

GPS availability recheck
When connected to Android Auto while phone's GPS is not turned on, Waze does not recognize, that GPS is turned on later and it is needed to disconnect from Android Auto and connect again. I would appreciate if Waze could somehow re-check GPS availability. Button, touch, time period...
Typical case: GPS is turned off in the phone. It is turned on automatically by the routine when phone detects car's bluetooth or wifi. When Waze starts earlier then GPS is turned on, it is impossible to use it. Thank you.2 votes
