1. Variable Toll versus Fixed Toll opton

   A lot of users want Waze to add additional features for variable tolls but all I am asking for is for Waze to recoginze the difference between fixed tolls and varaible tolls. I've come to the conclusion that Waze is pretty much unusable for my comute from Falls Church to Herndon, VA becuase it either wants to take me on the unaffordable express lanes OR avoid the reasonable Dulles Toll Road.

2. My complaint is that if there are 2 right turn lanes or 2 left turn lanes and an immediate turn is next, it would be helpful for the Waze vo

   My complaint is that if there are 2 right turn lanes or 2 left turn lanes and an immediate turn is next, it would be helpful for the Waze voice to direct me which turn lanes to be in for my next turn. I have the Newest Version of Waze on my phone and still having this issue in St. Louis, MO

3. Traffic lanes speed.

   It would be useful to add this feature back to the Waze app because the speed of traffic segments is useful, so that we drivers can understand how intense the traffic is on certain sections of the road. But it should be estimated in both Km and in miles.

4. Recalulate Route Button / Bird's Eye Route / I'm On This Route Button

   Seems like there are lots of these that get one or two votes and die the way of the dodo just like I will assume this suggestion will do. Although the idea behind Waze is social-traffic guidance it doesn't do the commuter a lot of good when they are in route on a multi-lane interstate in the middle of rush hour(s).

   We all give permission for Google/Waze/everyone to know our location so use that information to know that we are on the route and recalculate the traffic speeds based on our movement and feedback on our phones.

   Give us the option to recalculate the route. Give us a birds-eye view button of the route or multiple route options before we start the trips like the big brother Google maps so we can make a better decision before driving out onto the dangerous interstate. Give us a couple of one-handed buttons we can hit with our thumb or index finger to say there is a backup of traffic ahead that is not being calculated. Use the GPS data on our phones and use the awesome data calculation power of the processors to know exactly how fast and far we have traveled so that your data models can be updated quickly and efficiently.

   This morning Waze gave a route of 55 miles to work where I normally travel about 27 and said I would be at work within my 90-minute window. Let's just say I was still late.

5. Waze para Motocicletas (Waze for Motorcicles)

   Em São Paulo, no Brasil, há um grande número de motociclistas que utilizam o Waze diariamente, como eu. Porém, o navegador recalcula as rotas conforme o trânsito de carros, o que não é interessante para nós, devido aos corredores de motos (faixas entre os carros). Por isso, gostaria de sugerir que fosse criado um modo especial para motos, que pode ser dentro do próprio programa, que não recalcule as rotas da mesma maneira que faz para os carros. No caso, recalcularia somente em casos de bloqueios ou acidentes. Desde já, agradeço e parabenizo pelo aplicativo, que nos ajuda muito!

   In São Paulo, in Brazil, there are a lot of bikers who use Waze daily, like me. However, the browser recalculates routes as car traffic, which is not interesting for us due to motorcycle lanes (lanes between cars). So, I would suggest the creation of a special way for bikes, which can be within the program itself, which does not recalculate routes the same way it does for cars. In this case, recalcularia only in cases of crashes or accidents. Already, I thank and congratulate the application, which helps us a lot!

   Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already has Motorcycle Mode included in the app. To change your vehicle type, tap Settings > Car Details > Vehicle type.

6. TOWNS should be able to submit DO NOT USE THIS ROAD on certain roads

   Towns should have a way of reporting problems with rerouting. In the case of many small towns intersecting two major highways, not all roads are appropriate for heavy traffic.

   Towns should have a way to “prevent through traffic” on Waze, since Waze users totally blow off “no thru traffic” signs!

   For example, small towns still using one lane bridges need to be able to prevent over use and over-weight; afternoon traffic blocking residential roads just because someone is trying to bypass an on-ramp; especially tricks using small town roads not equipped for big trucks and curbs, lawns, and lights all being ruined because drivers are attempting shortcuts.

   I understand it can’t be a universal feature as then everyone will be using it in a “stay off my lawn!” function, but when towns are suffering traffic damage because an app is rerouting highway traffic through small roads, residential areas; when towns can prove this damage; when accident statistics climb so dramatically as to be frightening; when emergency vehicles cannot pass through routes because angry highway drivers are not obeying signs and laws; there should be a resource for the towns to reach out to these big GPS apps to block off certain routes.

8. Restore and add more alert choices and sub-choices - make the last more visible

   Hello, Waze. For unknown reason to us, your users, you are lowering the variety of the alerts that could be reported and/or their sub-options. The most striking example is the police reporting option where it is not possible to report a police from the other side. Please restore it. Please, add the following reports:
   1) stationary speed camera
   1.1) please add a detail about the direction the already added stationary speed cameras are pointing at - towards the incoming cars or at the same direction of the road lane group. Also add this as an option for the ones that one can add manually.
   1.2) Add a notice if the radar is new - e.g. less than a month-3 old so that one's attention can be better caught.
   2) mobile speed camera - there are police patrols installing mobile speed cameras that have a 600 m range
   3) speed camera signs - sometimes a stationary speed camera is missing but a warning sign is put to denote such
   4) toll tax patrols
   5) vehicle moving illegally in the opposite traffic direction - we have more and more frequently such cases here in Bulgaria
   6) burning car - especially this one since this way people can gather and help; I see there is an option to request help but does this option signal other Waze users or some road assistance from the country at hand?
   7) broken road - partially/fully, current/opposite direction lane
   8) protests

   Also noticed the following issues:
   1) Waze sometimes doesn't signal for radars earlier on but 200 meters before one reaches them. That wouldn't be much of an issue if the radar is pointing in the direction of the lane but would surely be if it points in the opposite direction. In all cases, it is best to signal for the radar 1 km before.
   2) Please make stationary and mobile radars standout more. Sometimes the avatars of the Wazers overlap them.
   3) Please better differentiate traffic light camera and speed radar. When I see red-light camera what I think of is a infrared speed radar. Even its pronounciation in Bulgarian is misleading - translated it means: traffic light camera. Ok, so that is a speed camera mounted on a traffic light or a camera that only detects vehicles that have passed through the traffic light when it was red? Please differentiate them better - both visually and audibly.
   4) The sub-options of a report have a very pale selection indicator - one can hardly see what sub-choise (s)he has made since the selection indicator on the light theme is just very very tainted - a very light gray on white background. Please use your Waze blue color as a selection background, for instance, so that one can distinctly see the selected sub-option of the report (s)he is currently doing
   5) Several times Waze is losing direction - it cannot detec the direction in which I am moving

10. Turn traffic, ability to report and to use in navigation

    There must be an option to report traffic for a specific turn. The reason is that a given road may be moving well through an intersection, but specifically a left turn lane onto an intersecting road can be jammed. In such a case the navigator won't use that road to turn left and find another route.

    As an example. Let's say I am driving on Main St and there are 3 intersecting roads coming up, Street 1, Street 2, and Street 3. My destination is at Street 2, where I need to turn left from Main St. Waze doesn't know that the left turn from Main St to Street 2 is always jammed, because of bad streetlight timing or another reason, and it will direct me to turn left as Main St in general is moving great. If Waze knew that the left turn is at a standstill then it would have directed me to turn on Street 2 right and make a U-turn, or go further on Main St and make a U-turn, or any other way to get to the destination. If no alternative then of course choose the left turn.

    This ability to report traffic for specific turn should also work for right turns.

11. Waze routing changes with little or no notice.

    The past few times we have used Waze the routing was changed with little to no notice. I'm not talking about missing a turn and having to recalculate but, drive along an interstate for example and have it say X miles to go on the road and then a few minutes change to take the next exit in half a mile. Meanwhile you're in the left or center lane with no hope of getting over. It has created a situation where you have monitor the screen all the time because it does not give you notice of the route change. It just does it. Waze used to give a decision box when it needed to detour or change its routing.

12. different color & voice on map to indicate the route is a overhead bridge

    sometimes there are overhead bridges that have the similar route as the road on ground. It is very confusing to look at the map. When we made a mistake and accidentally drive into the wrong lane (overhead-bridge/under the bridge) waze is still directing us to go further but the route is becoming more and more confusing because we are on the overhead/bottom, and GPS is showing only either one of it. GPS doesn't tell us we are on top of the bridge. so since we cannot change what the satellite see from the top. is it possible to color the road in the map, to indicate it is a overhead-bridge.so when driver see the color, they know. and for normal color it will be the normal road on the ground. If the voice can indicate "over-head bridge" it will be even more helpful to the driver.

13. Automatic rerouting improvement

    When creating a route on a highway with both "cars only" part and "trucks and buses" part Waze often leads me on the "trucks and buses" part of the highway for no reason (even though it's clearly stated in the settings that I drive a private car, not a truck or a bus). For example on I-95 highway in the north-eastern US.
    Now when I'm aware of this problem I ignore Waze's directions and take the "cars only" part of the highway. It's faster in 99% of the cases.
    However, for the next 30 miles (or even more) Waze suggests me to exit the highway, return all the way to the place where I entered the highway and enter the highway again to the "trucks and buses" lane. So I have to manually stop the route and start it over from the current position. It's a dangerous thing to do while driving.

14. Tracking stop signs and stop lights

    In addition to "Difficult intersection" it would be very handy for two features:
    1) Waze's map to record if there are stop signs (2, 4 way), and lights at an intersection. This would (hopefully) include separate turn signals; some intersections are VERY difficult to turn left at even with a light, for example.

    2) A setting for navigation (in the app) for "Avoid unguarded turns/intersections". This would then allow a driver to NOT have to turn left across 6 lanes of traffic, for example, as the app would know there was no light at that crossing (or even going directly across).

    3) In addition, a mode for "During rush hour" would be handy for both this and the 'avoid difficult intersections'. Such turns are fine at 1:00am, impossible at 5:00pm.

    Now, this sounds like it may present a lot more options, thus confusing some drivers, but if you've ever had the joy of dozens of street turns during rush hour in LA or other severely congested area, you could see it would become life-preserving.

15. Not automatically removing reports.

    I have made multiple lane closure, construction and more reports over the same area daily for weeks/months. They keep getting removed by waze after a few hours even though they are still there. Does it actually hurt anything to wait until someone selects not there instead of removing because no one selects still there? Construction rarely takes hours, more like weeks. Let the report stay until someone says its no longer there. I know some drivers that use waze and never report. I am getting to the point that I wont make these reports anymore its annoying. I know one area I have reported the same thing at least 50 times. Multiple times in part of a day.

Specifically, I've noticed two types of road markings: a fully white line, indicating we should stay, and a faint white line, suggesting we shouldn't.

18. Be able to mark passing places in country lanes like you can potholes.

    When going down narrow country lanes wide enough for one car it would be great be able to mark passing places like you can pot holes. So many times you meet another car and wonder where the next passing place is.

    BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) — Drivers using some of the major interstates and highways in Northeast Wisconsin will now notice a new alert on message boards warning them when there’s a wrong-way driver.

    It is one of the scariest moments drivers could face — heading down the highway or interstate at 70 miles an hour and headlights come straight at you.

    Brown County Sheriff’s Patrol Captain Dan Sandberg says it’s all too common and often ends with someone injured or killed, as happened on I-41 in southern Brown County in August.

    “It’s almost a weekly occurrence that we have somebody wrong way on the highway. Just recently, again last week, had another wrong way driver on (Interstate) 43,” says Sandberg.

    So when he saw a story we aired recently about message boards in Milwaukee County alerting people about wrong way drivers, he set to work to make it possible here.

    A few phone calls and one meeting later, the new alert system was activated last Thursday.

    Four days later, it was already put to use for an elderly driver going the wrong way on I-43.

    “It could take the officers, depending on where they are, anywhere from a couple minutes to five minutes to 10 minutes to get in that area, and that’s extra time we can warn whoever’s driving on that highway,” says Sandberg.

    “And that way people can be paying attention to it, because if you’ve got two vehicles at speeds of 70-75 miles an hour towards each other, you don’t have much time to react.”
    Here’s what happens: The 911 call comes into the Brown County Communications Center. Deputies are dispatched, and immediately dispatchers then call the State Traffic Operations Center in Milwaukee, which controls DOT message boards and cameras.

    With the punch of a few buttons, an alert reading “wrong way driver reported: use caution” will appear on message boards on the roads where the driver was last seen.

    “If you see a sign come up, what you need to do is start paying attention to every car that’s coming in the opposite direction of you to ensure that vehicle is actually on the correct side of the roadway,” advises Sandberg.

    He says most wrong way drivers are in the left lane, thinking they’re on a two lane road, so if you see one, stay to the right and call 911.

    Sandberg says, currently, alerts can broadcast on message boards on Highways 172 and 29 and Interstates 43 and 41, where he says the majority of wrong way drivers are reported.

    But this is not just happening in Brown County. Sandberg says the Department of Transportation is working to expand the system to Outagamie and Winnebago Counties, too.

20. HOV depending on people in car

    As you plan a trip, if there are HOV lanes, the app should ask how many people are in the car so that you can be directed to HOV lanes if you pass the requirements for those lanes. Thx :)
