4.70.1.0 for Android - disable automatic "recent locations" tab
Why would you even bother adding such a thing? I don't need it. I know where to go for recent locations. I don't want to see it pop up every time I start waze.
Keep up these "improvements" and I'll be switching apps. Stop dumbing down the UI. Quit piling more and more crap on the main screen. There is no point. I want a map. I want traffic (audible) alerts. When using a destination, I want audible turn-by-turn directions. THAT'S ALL.

Feature Request Feedback
Many of the feature requests have many votes, or multiple postings for the same feature requests. It appears that people really do want some things very much. However, the feature request for some items seems to be un-monitored.
There are a number of issues, which would normally be easily resolved with some minor programming tweaks that never seem to be addressed, either in the responses, or the program revisions.
Example: Favorites sorting - the same general feature request has been posted multiple times with post dates going back to 2010.

option to disable the "This route is x faster than this other route"
Currently, after choosing a destination in Waze, it will also tell you that the route it's telling you is faster than some other route.
Why is theere a need to tell me that the current route is 6 minutes, 10 minutes, 17 minutes faster than the other route? It's a waste of time waiting for it to stop describing the slower route's time and streets/highways.
I would like an option to disable the post-selection vocal description of slower routes.

Users should be able to select which lane a hazard or stopped vehicle is in on the motorway/freeway.
When driving on a multi-lane road, there's often reports of a hazard that cannot be seen. It would be more useful for "Which lane is the hazard in?" then select 1/2/3/4/5 so that drivers know specifically if it is likely to affect them.

Ability for area managers to add road closures and long-lasting hazards in areas they manage
Instead of having to rely on the high level requirement in certain countries, area managers should be able to add road closures and long-lasting hazard notices on the map in the areas they manage. Currently we have to rely on Country Managers who are already busy and it creates unnecessary work for us having to create map multiple map views and copy paste links every few weeks when we could just do it ourselves. Add a "Not a Hazard" button
Too many people report cars parked in rest stops and small divots as hazards.
If there was an option to report back to the user that the car or pothole they reported as a hazard shouldn't have been.
The button would compliment the "still there" and "not there" buttons and maybe notify the original reporter if (say) 3 or 5 "Not a Hazard" reports came in.
Users that continue to report incorrect hazards could be blocked from reporting for a month or so.

Option to hide "Select vehicle type" button
I stopped needing to use Waze for a while, so I'm not sure when it was added, but one of the "new" changes I noticed right away when using it recently, and that I absolutely hate, is the "Select vehicle type" button that is now ALWAYS visible. That makes no sense. I can't imagine many people are switching vehicle types on a regular basis, and it should be optional so those that are can have it there and those that have no need for it don't have it sitting there being distracting. Traffic Signal Integration
This is a huge undertaking but would be an awesome feature. Waze would have the ability to know when traffic signals are red and green based on Wazers. It can detect a Wazer ahead is stopped at an intersection, and can warn others behind that the signal is Red. This may also impact ETAs as well. In high volume cities like LA, this would be a feasible idea especially during rush hour. However, it may not be realistic at times of lower volume. This could save time, allow for smarter decisions, save gas, and be greener for the entire world!

Ability to disable auto-app start with CarPlay
Stop automatically starting the app on the iPhone when CarPlay connects to the phone. Waze takes up too much resources on the phone. And I have to keep stopping it. None of my other navigation or map apps automatically start up with CarPlay.

Yellow Box Junction Cameras
TLDR Version: At the moment on Waze you can only report either speed cameras, red light cameras or fake cameras, having a 'yellow box junction' camera would be a logical and great addition imho.
Non TLDR Version: Yellow box junction cameras drive me nuts (for those not UK based these are cameras that make sure yellow box junctions - ie boxes marked on the road to stop drivers stopping at the entrance to a side junction and blocking it), mainly because not all yellow boxes are enforced with cameras (so drivers from all angles enter it and the only way…

It seems crazy to me that you can so easily post a vehicle stopped on the side of the road...not effecting traffic at all...yet there is no option to report a vehicle broken down in the middle of Freeway lanes, causing a monumental traffic jam! Add stop along route
It would be nice to be able to use Google Assistant hands free to ask Waze to find a stop along your route like Google Maps does. Right now, if you ask it to find something while you're on a trip, it will just do a generic search that may have results in the opposite direction. On Google Maps, it gives you a list truly along your route and tells you how many minutes it will add to your overall trip. That would be lovely on Waze, please.

Informing WAZE of blocked roads is problematic
Informing WAZE of blocked roads is problematic. There should be just one quick button which only says blocked and is used when the road that WAZE recommended was not taken because it was blocked. Currently a four way intersection has four choices on which part is blocked but you cannot stop in the middle of a busy intersection to tell WAZE which of the four roads is blocked. Past the intersection, it is difficult to enter this data into WAZE while still driving. A single blocked button will let WAZE figure out which recommended road was not taken.

DANGER HOT SPOTS
South Africa is riddled with crime and Waze can literally save hundreds of lives by allowing users to post hot sports at dangerous intersections. Simply being aware of a dangerous intersection will allow people to stop at that light with a safe escape distance. Blacklist police
When there are multiple police reports in the UK in one area it usually means there is a police checkpoint, recently there have been more in my area however me and my friends noted that the police also use waze themselves and press “not there” to remove warnings other waze users have put so that people do not realise and have to go through the whole headache of getting checked. A couple of ways around this could be that you require multiple different users to press “not there” before removing from the map or if a user has been stationary…

Stop Waze auto starting
Stop Waze from auto starting as soon as I get in my car that has wireless Apple Car Play and for that fact even if I plug in it should not auto start. I don’t always want Waze on and it is annoying in the background beeping and alerting even without a direction. This should be an option to auto start not forced. This is an unwanted feature and like and invasion on privacy and personal choice.

"Easy drive" mode
define the navigation logic so that it will skip narrow streets, traffic lights, stop signes, any road when the average speed is under 40 km/h etc. Allow for a 20% longer ride, but get me home fresh and not drained...

Traffic alerts
I think I will be a good idea for the app to have traffic alerts. Not just saying traffic reported ahead. Based on the speed limit the app to tell you to slow down because of traffic. It will be extremely useful on highways. For example, a kilometer ahead to display/announce such warning and recommendation to slow down. Therefore, drivers will not have to stop abruptly and accidents might be prevented.
