2. back alley

   not sure if these two concerns are already part.of this new update because I'm barely having the update done:

   1. I think, Waze designed to.guide us using fastest route, to cross a busy street Melrose for example, instead of leading us to a traffic light controlled street where we can have our legal turn to cross Melrose. or make a left or right turn. Waze would lead us to a yield and non-traffic light controlled street where there is zero chance of crossing the busy street. and leave us with the last option to just make a yield right turn on the busy street. until we come across the next possible intersection for either a left turn or a u-turn.

   2, for destinations like buildings, hotels or hospitals, big residential complex and even single houses as long as they havd back entrances or alleys, Waze would lead us always tp the back alleys. A driver too concern about other things or focused on arriving to the place would not normally notice this, only if he is paying attention would he realize he is on the street parrallel to his actual destinatiln. One more way of realizing he is at the wrong place is getting a call from am angry passenger already late for his flight.

3. A way th control texting and driving at same time.

   We were using Waze for first time today, I was driving and wife was on phone. She was unable to type anything in since car was moving and suggested we stop to input info. This technology should be marketed to the phone companies, which would block people texting and driving at same time. It could save many lives and countless injuries if adapted to all phones.

   Nas estradas onde não existem pista dupla, os motoristas ficam ansiosos para realizar ultrapassagens para evitar veículos lentos. As oportunidades de ultrapassagem podem ser previstas pelo waze que indicaria na tela a aproximação, inicio e fim da terceira faixa. Geralmente a terceira faixa existe em aclives, para que veículos lentos, caminhões etc mudem para a direito facilitando assim a ultrapassagem dos carros mais rápidos. Se os wazers pudessem programas as ultrapassagens nesses pontos que são fixos, a ansiedade poderia ser controlada e inúmeros acidentes evitados! ----- On roads where there are no dual carriageway, drivers are eager to perform to avoid overtaking slow vehicles. Overtaking opportunities can be provided for waze would indicate on the screen the approach, the beginning and end of the third track. Usually the third track there is uphill, so slow vehicles, trucks etc. move to the right thereby facilitating the passing of the fastest cars. If wazers could overtaking programs at these points that are fixed, anxiety could be controlled and many accidents avoided!

   Up until this month I was able to set the sound choice easily before starting a route, now I can't. This means if I'm looking at a route in a crowd before setting off I am stuck with whatever the last setting was. Often this means it starts blabbing away disturbing people. Revert to having the speaker icon visible on app start.

   • Time-Loss Threshold: Users can set a personal "delay tolerance" in the settings (e.g., 5, 10, or 15 minutes).
   • Dynamic Notification: The app calculates the "penalty" of missing the turn in real-time. If the alternative route exceeds the user's threshold, Waze triggers a high-priority audio and visual alert.
   • Smart Overrides: Even if the voice navigation is muted, the Critical Alert can be programmed to "break through" the silence or lower the volume of music to ensure the driver is aware.

7. Provide degree of confidence of route suggestions

   When choosing a route, I would like to see a degree of confidence that I will arrive at the time specified. More of them than not, I arrive at my destination several minutes after the original estimate due to building traffic, getting stuck at lights, etc. This especially occurs during rush hour traffic. If the app offered a level of confidence based on the proposed routes then I would feel like I have more control over my route. This could be represented as a % confidence based on conditions and aggregated data from users along that route or ever a color code (green, yellow and red) for which route will most likely arrive at the specified time.

8. Improve!!

   The app was amazing for the time 4 years ago... Stop taking all the data and using it for gmaps and not reciprocating by putting some money into map control and manipulation. The finger pinch zoom is horibble to put it lightly! It seems from a user's point of view that the relationship between Google and Waze is like a child who eats all of the frosting off a cupcake and leaves the rest for his dad to eat. Ya it will fill him up but looks like shit and doesn't taste as good as it could!
   Waze people get your s$!t together and don't let Google take all the good features and not improve the app...

9. Motorcycle based map and speed display scale and legibility.

   I have 5" carplay units on both of my motorcycles. (no this is not a display size issue). My preferred map software in carplay, is Waze, as I want the most crowdsourced information such as cops, traffic, construction, etc. My only problem on the motorcycle with carplay/Waze display is that the map is way too FINE and small print, the speed is too small, and red/black which are fairly impossible to read as they're both dark colors.

   My ask, and idea, and suggestion... either basically control over the display SIZE to make the fonts and boldness of the roads and road names much more significant. and control over the speed display to be larger, and display colors. -or- a motorcycle mode, which prioritizes those things knowing that the display may be somewhat small, 5 or 7" are the only ones for motorcycles. and it's going to be vibrating a bit, and the rider is in a helmet, with visor or some sort of vision disturbance other than none/glasses_only.

   The current version of carplay/waze for motorcycle use is , not usable. Even in cases where I know what street is coming up im looking for, there's no way I can see it on the mc carplay unit waze map. not not bc size... bc the display is a "fine line" and a small fine font.

   There is a motorcycle avatar icon to use, idk if you choose that it could auto-adapt the display to something motorcycle oriented with large bold font, thick bold street lines, and large high-contrast speed information., that would be really great. or separate controls, either way... please. pretty please LOL =)

10. Audio bug

    Hello,

    For several weeks and despite successive android auto / waze updates, the audio messages of the alerts are truncated.
    The last words are no longer pronounced completely.
    Example (in French): "vous arrivez dans une zone de contrôle" is pronounced "vous arrivez dans une zone de contr."
    The end of the word "contrôle" is missing.

11. Feature Suggestion: “Group Ride / Buddy Mode” for Safer and More Connected Travel

    To the Waze Team,

    Good day! I am a longtime Waze user, and I truly appreciate how your app continues to innovate in keeping drivers safe and informed. I would like to suggest a new feature that I believe would greatly improve the experience of many users, especially those who travel together.

    I would like to propose a “Group Ride Mode” or “Buddy Mode” where users traveling as a group such as friends, families, and motorcycle convoys can see each other in real time directly on the Waze map. Many riders and drivers often travel together, and having this integrated feature would bring a big advantage in terms of convenience and safety.

    Below are the features that I believe would make this mode extremely useful:

    Proposed Features for Group Ride / Buddy Mode

    1. Real-Time Location Sharing
       Show the live position of each group member on the Waze map using icons or initials.

    2. Distance Gap Indicator
       Display how far each buddy is ( “350m behind,” “1.2 km ahead”).

    3. Re-route Notifications
       If a member takes a different route, the group receives a small alert such as:
       “Alex re-routed now 2.1 km away.”

    4. Group Voice Chat (Push-to-Talk)
       A simple walkietalkie style voice feature for quick updates during the drive.

    5. Group ETA Comparison
       Show the estimated time of arrival for every member to help coordinate stops and arrival times.

    6. Battery Level Indicator
       Notify group members if someone has low battery to avoid surprises when someone drops offline.

    7. Speed Status Sync (Privacy-Safe)
       Show simple speed indicators like: Stopped, Slow, Normal, Fast (no exact speed numbers needed).

    8. “Regroup Alert” Button
       Allows one member to send a signal to the group to slow down or meet at the next stop.

    9. Privacy Controls
       Group access via invite link or code only.
       Option for members to switch to invisible mode anytime.

    10. Emergency/SOS Ping
        A quick SOS button that alerts all members if someone stops unexpectedly or needs assistance.

    Why This Feature is Valuable?
    - This feature would be especially helpful for:
    - Motorcycle groups and riding clubs
    - Family convoys during long trips
    - Friends traveling to the same destination
    - Delivery riders working in teams

    Integrating this into Waze would make group travel safer, more organized, and more enjoyable, while also setting Waze apart from other navigation apps that currently don’t offer this level of real-time group coordination.

12. Caravan Mode / Follow Me Mode

    I've been thinking in a new mode for Wazers... I've been driving with family along the road in different vehicles, not once we've been able to keep the same speed or pace and we end loosing sight of where the vehicles are. In Mexico safety its a very important matter, and everytime we are not able to see where the other cars that are driving with us we call them or text them to see if everything is fine. I imagine a Caravan Mode in which multiple Waze accounts are linked for a trip and you can watch the vehicles listed in the CarPlay in a vertical sideway explaining things such as: amount of vehicles in the caravan, distance between one and another, if the vehicle is moving or stopped. Every vehicle will be able to post some special status, such as: Stop we are OK, Back on driving, SOS, etc... if we have this status next to the regular Waze display we will assure calm on everyone because we all will have visibility on where are the remaining vehicles and the distances between the next one. If the caravan is loosing the last vehicle someone can reduce the speed to accompany the last car. Everything to make it happen its already in control of Waze, speed, location, etc. It will make driving so much safe and with more detail on the other vehicles on the journey

    Traffic history on the weekends is not the same as on a work day. That makes it difficult for an editor to reproduce the reported conditions unless they wait for the next similar day.

    Good morning.
    Men from northern Italy, Friuli Venezia Giulia precisely.
    We have created a group on Telegram of about 330 people (and growing) that allows us to exchange information about places of the various State Police units Control, Police, Municipal Police and the Guardia di Finanza.
    Now you can imagine how many messages arrive daily but mostly out of area messages, or alerts about a city even if I am in another.
    With this message I wanted to ask if you could put in your reporting tab, the controlling authorities mentioned before so you can move the group on your company / app and report very quickly and precisely the checkpoints.
    Also it should put an expiry time instead of not fixed control.
    The ideal would be that we become informed of control even with a notification to app also closed, without displaying the map.
    I hope I was clear enough in my purpose and I hope you take into consideration my proposal because in Italy, but I also think other states, there is always a need for mutual aid.

    On CarPlay the hazard report and audio control buttons etc appear on the left of the screen in the UK instead of on the right nearest the driver. I did see it appear on the right just once after the latest update and thought "great!" but then at next launch it reverted to being on the right. Experts in the forum suggest this is set by region so are UK being classed as EU- we drive on the right. Can this be fixed or made an option to change in the settings in case I hire a car in the EU?

18. Blocked lane with traffic lights

    Basically in my country atleast. whenever theres a blocked lane on normal roads there is a heigh chance theres a traffic light controlling the flow of traffic. Would be nice to add that feature so there can be better calculations.

20. During radar warning speed limit is not visible

    During radar warning the "current speedlimit" is shifted above and disappears under the "next direction change information". Then you can not see the speed you are actually driving during the speed control, this please needs improvement.
