1. User option to define the value you want the speed exceeded alert to be given!

   I know that by default it is 30Km/h but in many situations 30 is a very "large" range when going from 120 to 100 in a controlled zone P.E. on the A29

   This value should be a user-defined option!

   The warning must be given a few meters before entering the area at a new speed
   (The precedence can also be a value to be defined by the user)

2. Set the audio in advance

   There is a risk every time you open the app and set a destination: the app could disturb you with its voice without you being able to predict it in advance. It would be enough to place the voice control on the home screen, then before setting the destination.(Of course, it's always possible to go into the settings beforehand, but it's a bit of a complex procedure and is therefore almost never done.)

3. Move control button to right hand side on right hand drive vehicle vehicles in Australia

   Randomly sometimes the reporting buttons come up on my right hand side of screen close to my steering wheel on right hand drive car in Australia but doesn’t stay there. It usually opens up on the left-hand side which is a bit far to reach across the car to work anything can this be made? So it stays on the right hand side of the screen for a right hand drive car in Australia.

4. Agregar alertas luego de usar la app.

   La app es muy buena. Le falta agregar la opción de reportar baches, trabajos en la calzada y otros cuando uno ya dejó de manejar. Es complicado esquivar un pozo o avisar que hay un control policial y al mismo tiempo estar manipulando el celular que dicho sea de paso, está prohibido. Entonces, sería muy útil para toda la comunidad permitirnos agregar información una vez que ya no tengamos que estar atentos al manejo.

   I hope you're doing well!

   I had a fun idea I wanted to share with you: what if Waze collaborated with the beloved singer Sajda Obeid to create a voice pack for navigation? Her iconic songs about "left" and "right" are already a huge part of Arabic pop culture, and hearing her guide us with her unique voice would not only be nostalgic but also incredibly entertaining (and accurate — no more missed exits!).

   Imagine a voice that sings you through your turns, keeps you smiling through traffic, and brings a little musical magic to every drive. I believe many users, especially in the Arabic-speaking community, would absolutely love it.

6. Use iphone screen as a touchscreen

   Some cars' infotainment system has a non-touchscreen; consequently, it is hard to manipulate the map by zooming in &out or looking around the map. It is possible to make the iPhone as a remote by adding a touch area which can control the map like moving or zooming in. One navigation app “高德地图” has such function already. It is really convenient for driver to see the map!

7. option to clear all “Recents” in one action

   Waze should include a simple option to delete the entire list of “Recents” in one tap. Currently, users on iOS have to swipe and delete each item manually, which is extremely time-consuming — especially for those who use the app frequently.

   This list accumulates all previous searches, tapped locations, and destination suggestions, and it keeps growing without a way to clear it completely.

   Please add a “Clear all Recents” button in the search screen or under Privacy settings. It’s a basic feature for user control and privacy, and it’s long overdue.

8. Fix the phone overheating issue

   Let me explain the background on this. I've been happily using Waze with AA in my car for several years. All of a sudden, mid Feb 2024, my phone is overheating, sometimes before I even leave my driveway! I added a utility to my phone to troubleshoot and what I discovered is atrocious. This started right around Feb 19th. Whenever I have Waze running in the car, Google Maps is also running in background. If I use Google Maps to navigate, the phone doesn't overheat and Waze doesn't open either. I am already in the Beta group for Android Auto, and I provided them with the details, though that is more like dropping into a black hole. I don't know if the Waze group at Google can help with this, but you'd should be talking to each other. I also have seen posts from several other people who have been having the same problem and it all started around the same time. Where I live there's no normal reason for the overheating, since it's winter here and I'm mostly driving at night. I see no documentation from Waze that would require Google Maps to run when I was using Waze. I would much rather use Waze for my navigation because of all the features it has that Google Maps doesn't. And it becomes a more serious problem, because if the phone overheats then I lose my Pandora music as well, not mention phone calls and alerts. I gave up Sirius XM a year ago due to the outrageous price.
   So, is there a reason you are aware of why Google Maps would have to run if I'm using Waze? Stopping Google Maps is not a viable option.

   Ajouter 3 ou 4 accès rapide directement sur écran de navigation dans un angle pour signaler les dangers les plus fréquents :
   Véhicule sur le bas côté
   Circulation dense
   Contrôle
   Danger sur la route

   Car aller dans le navigateur des alertes peut être dangereux en roulant (il y a 3 ou 4 clics à faire) et on privilégie la conduite et du coup ne rien signaler.
   Cela permettrait de signaler les 4 dangers principaux très rapidement sans se mettre en danger vis à vis de la conduite

10. Eco-drive helper

    For eco-drive enthusiasts, you could create a function that shows upcoming speed limits with an adjustable distance. For example, I would like to be informed about speed limits approximately 400 meters in advance, so I can deactivate the cruise control and let the car coast to the correct speed for the upcoming limit. For EVs, this would simultaneously involve regenerative braking, saving me fuel and brake pads. The environment would be cleaner, etc. Adaptive notification would be an advanced solution. It would use the g-sensor to understand my inertia and the speed difference from upcoming speed limits.

    Have a couple of user defined buttons on the main screen, so that the user can define what these are for, for their most used functions - my car uses a steering wheel control to navigate around Waze, so to report a pothole (there are many where I live), I have to go down about 4 levels (I think from memory) to get to the pothole button - on steering wheel navigation, that can take 10 seconds, and at 60mph, I'm already around 900 feet away from the hazard. Having the option to define a button (or ideally 2) so a singe press reports the hazard will make reporting easier nd more accurate.

    We would like to propose an enhancement to Waze's automatic re-routing feature to provide users with greater control and flexibility when navigating around traffic congestion.

    Currently, Waze offers basic re-routing, but it lacks the ability to:

    Prioritize surface streets or alternate highways/freeways: This would be particularly valuable for users who prefer avoiding congested highways altogether, even if it means a slightly longer route.

    Define granular re-routing preferences: A binary on/off toggle is limiting. We propose options similar to existing route preferences (fastest/shortest) that allow users to:

    Set time windows for re-routing: For example, automatically re-route during known rush hour periods.

    Define exclusion zones for re-routing: Specify areas where re-routing is not desired, even if there is congestion.

    Control re-routing based on Waze user density: Only re-route if a certain number of Wazers are experiencing congestion.

    Utilize combined traffic data: Consider both Waze user data and official traffic monitoring systems for re-routing decisions.

    "Free flow" re-routing: Only re-route to areas with free-flowing traffic

    "Follow the herd" re-routing: Prioritize routes with a higher concentration of Wazers, potentially indicating a faster path.
    These options would allow users to personalize their Waze experience and optimize their commutes based on individual preferences and driving habits.

15. Problem with newest update

    Hello.
    I would like to give some feedback regarding latest Android auto update:
    New ui is worse than old one. First way old speedometer worked was better (it was smaller and it only showed speed limit when going above the limit (and showed points around the circle as you approached speed limit). That was much better than current one.
    Second thing is that new Drive now feature and other text messages on app are too big and take up too much screen from the map.
    Also, forcing dark mode for messages is not a great ux choice since it can be hard to read during sunny days (also, it's bad in contrast to light mode map, specially during the day). It would be great if you could revert it back to light mode when map is in light mode and dark when map is in dark mode.
    Thirdly, whenever I am parked, waze thinks I'm driving and I can't search for destination in search box on car's screen (I have to disconnect phone, type in destination on phone and then reconnect phone to car (voice controls don't work fine since I don't live in English speaking country and lot of places don't have English sounding names and voice recognising struggles with place names)). Just to make sure that it wasn't a car issue, I tried same feature on google maps and it works fine there.

    For reference, car where I use waze is 2019 Kia Rio (for European market)
    It would be great if you would give option of choosing between old UI and new UI along side with fixing Search bar bug (Also, every once in a while when using the app while parked it gives me that safety break thing even though I am parked, and also I can't go to info menu and it only says that is it unavailable while driving (although I am parked and hand break is up, and gearbox is in neutral (manual car (Kia rio 2019)) (also, forgot to mention that the car is a manual with manual hand break, if that gives you some insight))

16. Latest version Release 4.94.0.3 Doesn't Work Correctly on Non-Touchscreen Android Auto

    This version requires you to use the central rocker controller to switch to the side menu.
    Once in navigation, the back up button brings up the command to hit it again to stop navigation, rather than backing up to the Android Auto menu.
    You are stuck in Waze unless you move hands from steering wheel.
    You should be able to switch to the side Android Auto menu to bring up another app whilst still in navigation and by using the steering wheel buttons like before - exit navigation should be by selecting the X button.
    Speed limit alert also gone.
    Getting to saved places is also tricky and not intuitive, the big box just has recent places and also covers up ETA etc when reporting a hazard ahead.
    Behaviour exactly the same in 2021 TTS and 2018 Q5

17. Pop-up banners hijack CarPlay functionality

    Navigation pop-up banners hijack the functionality of other CarPlay apps. Whenever a Waze banner pops up, it overrides the ability to select any other function in CarPlay. It complicates the simplicity & minimal distraction for which CarPlay is designed. My car has a joystick knob to scroll through & select a CarPlay function, & there is no way to stop these banners from popping up. Turning the knob a click, or selecting one of the console buttons hides the banner for a fraction of a second, but the banner keeps incessantly popping up. When I move my cursor to select a desired function in other apps outside of Waze & quickly get my eyes back on the road, the banner pops up again & clicking selects it instead of what I selected, which takes me back to the Waze app (even while sitting at a red light). Please add an option to control the frequency of pop-up banners, or make them informational only & not an active button that can be selected.

20. Fix Road Closure selecting

    I am a traffic controller and I try to accurately report what roads are closed for the safety of the workers and convenience of others. Most the time I can't even report the street that's closed as the app won't let me select them. It will only do main roads or the roads that are next to the road I want to select. You also have to physically be on the road to select them which is another issue as I can't really leave my post to walk to each road to select them. It's very frustrating. If I could just draw on the screen the roads that are closed life would be so much easier. I would add a photo to show the problem but it doesn't seem to give that option here on feedback. Nor does it show the date ideas were posted. That would also be helpful. 6/24/24
