BRING BACK THE PREVIOUS UK VOICES.
The new UK voices (with street names) in the May 2022 update are awful. The female one sounds like she is about to explode with excitement, warning you of a hazard, and the male like he has just spent years at a private school.2 votes -

As you probably know, some of the voices we feature are promotional, meaning they are only available for a limited time.
We offer special voices for holidays, events, and just for fun.
You can use these for the length of the promotion. When the promotion ends, your voice will reset to the default and the voice will no longer appear in the Sound menu.We hope that you enjoyed the voice while it was available and can’t wait to share more exciting voices to come!

Waze's own chat
I was picking up my little brother yesterday and in the meanwhile i noticed that if i didnt have to switch between whatsapp and waze in order to chat with people not interested in waze, it would be even cooler!
I mean. I may log in so i could contact "a friend" that i know is connected to waze for example, just to chat. The facebook friends list is awful, because .. what? 30% of your list uses waze? and when they wanna chat with you, they dont think of the waze-3.5-facebook chat a a good system, so i have…

Kate (UK) voice: needs some tweaks
Unlike some other users here, I like the new 'Kate (UK)' voice: I like her tone & generally clear pronunciation. My complaint, however, is when she says "Go straight on": the last "t" of the word "straight" is completely dropped (i.e she says "Go straigh on"), which is out of character with the rest of her otherwise good enunciation, & very annoying! Please fix with an update when you can! Thanks...

Master Chief voice and all other sidekicks unavailable
Formerly had the Master Chief voice from it's original introduction to this year when it suddenly vanished from my options. Now it's back and I cannot pick ANY sidekick voice options... I've tried all troubleshooting and I'm pretty sure it's a program glitch .. please fix 😭 I delete the app entirely, delete my cache, tried debug FIVE times and am truly gutted I lost the voice let alone likely won't have this resolved before it's gone again.... Never changed anything setting wise, just every option says there's an error

Lucifer Morningstar as a Navigation Voice
I’d love to suggest adding Lucifer Morningstar (from the Netflix series Lucifer) as a voice option for navigation.
He’s charming, sarcastic, effortlessly confident, and always has something clever to say—traits that would fit perfectly into Waze’s fun, personality-filled navigation style. His voice (played by Tom Ellis) would make any drive more entertaining.
Lucifer already has a massive fanbase, and his personality is made for this kind of feature.

Voice Input and HOV Options in Android Auto
Allow for voice input (for stops/searches) while driving and give options for HOV travel while in Android Auto. Having to pull over while on a freeway to add a stop if it is not within your most recent stops is really frustrating and dangerous.

Implement user-configurable delay (in increments of 0.1 sec) for voice alerts
Some vehicle Bluetooth implementations have lengthy handshaking which prevents the first second or two of Waze voice alerts from actually being heard. My car has a feature that ramps up the volume of a Bluetooth phone incrementally on first connection. However, the impact is that in most driving situations, the first two seconds are simply too quiet to be heard!
For example, instead of "In 500 metres, turn right onto Main Street.", all you hear is ".. to Main Street". Obviously, this information is unclear and confusing, forcing the driver to glance at the map on the phone to verify…

I think it would be neat to have the News reporter Piper Wright (played by Courtney Ford) from Diamond City, from the Bethesda Game Fallout 4 as a map voice guide.

Voice notifications in Car play are too loud and horrible
The voice alerts are too loud and the voice is also very unpleasant to the ears and also it sounds like the voice is too much amplified that it sounds distorted/breaking.
Please fix this bug. Otherwise providing feature to control the volume of voice alerts would be great. It is possible in my Audi to change volume of Alerts/Notifications/Navigation separately from the Music volume when using Sygic app.

Junction after junction only pre-alert by voice, no graphic indicates.
Turn after turn only mention in voice over, has no graphic indicater. Ex. Keep right then the next keep left right aways less then 100 meter.
It's easy to miss the second voice over, and it's very dangerous to driver.
Such as: keep right 200 Meter + keep left 50 Meter.

It should state if hazard is on road or on shoulder as most shoulder hazards are not serious as on road hazards.

Waze App - Create Own Preferred Route.
Hi.
It would be great, if we could create a Navigation Route based on our own personal drives. I usually (99%) drive the same route many times a week.
However, the app doesn’t recognise some directions i go and has to recalculate it. If, having the preferred route stored without any recalculating, it be a nice touch.

use voice directions based on signs
voice navigation (following waze's directions by ear, without looking on the screen)
as I understand, currently the orders are given by street name, this may cause difficulties in situation where route that should be driven has tottaly different naming and signs (happened to me...). my suggestion is to make a consideration in sign when defining the voice navigation for each junction, or let us the users to add the street name that is seen on the sign.1 voteThanks for your feedback. Could you voice when…
- It would be nice to hear a Voice when there is a reroute option when there is an accident.
- It would be safer for the driver to be able to speak to Waze when there is an accident, police, hazardous materials on the road or a car on the side etc.

Upon selecting the "Cha Cha Navigator" voice, users are greeted with: "Welcome to the Cha Cha Navigator! Let's slide through traffic together."
