Verbally Say Speed Limit on Road
Waze needs to say what the speed limit is on the road verbally. It is dangerous to look down at the phone screen for the speed limit when it is not posted on the road, and you have no idea what it is, especially for those who have difficulty reading small print.

Fix android automotive - Apple car play Waze map disappearing on center wheel screen if not on tablet
Only Google map is working, and not as great yet as Waze for EV except EV recharge calculations and suggestion.
This is really annoying, from security perspective, wish to switch radio, on tablet, map disappear on cwnterwheel display.
Constantly have to get back to tablet radio, change station, back to CarPlay, Waze, reset center wheel console to display Google map.
Worst if you select Google map, it disable automatically Waze on tablet and cancel trip.
Make it work or keep independent.

user provided layout themes
There are various requests for features of what Waze should/should not display on screen. It would be great if users could instead of just choosing a style, actually choose a (or create) a layout that another user has selected.
Best option would be to provide the ablity to give shapes, and areas that can contain text. Eg.
- Current speed (can then increase/decrease the speed display)
- Average wazer speed on the current segment (so the potential speed limits could be shown)
- Current road name
- Text/images for popups
- Destination ETA
- Destination time

Clicking any "All Turns" list item zooms to location (upcoming in route)
During navigation, there is no short/simple way to look at a location point of your route ahead. Regardless, a simple and low click, logical solution would be to achieve looking at your upcoming route point for traffic purposes (or whatever reason) would be looking at your "All Turns" list (1 click) then one could scroll through all the upcoming turns, select a location (2nd click), and the screen then reverts to your map route, but targeted to view the turn selected on the "All Turns" list. Scale UI option for Android Auto
Scale UI option for Android Auto. Letters are too big, any text blocks half the screen. It's a simple matter of allowing a scaler in options. 125%, 75%, 66%, 50%, that'd be more than enough to really improve usability.

Auto-Zoom range settings
We need a Minimum and Maximum Zoom range for auto zoom. I have a widescreen in one of my cars and the Auto Zoom goes out too far making the Hazard bubbles just small circles and easy to miss or ignore. In another car the screen is smaller and doesn't zoom out as far at same speeds and the bubbles are larger and easier to see.

"Stop running in the background" switch on iOS
Hi. I found that Waze continues to run and use GPS and 3G signal while backgrounded on the iPhone. This is catastrophic in our country for two reasons: 1. It keeps the phone very hot. 2. it uses data at about 0.15 USD/MB, thereby ticking down your data and using up your money. Research and plan trips in advance from various locations
The app seems to have this feature, but only effective when using one's current location - of course I also appreciate seeing travel time lengths in advance. But the problem is: I often know I will be leaving from a different location A and traveling to another location B, and am unable to research and plan that trip on Waze.
(When I have tried the app's attemp at this feature, the app closes and it takes me to iphone's home screen..)

Update the Reports list screen without having to leave it and display it again
I like to use the report list view instead of the map view. The distances to the reported items should be updated in real time as I am getting nearer or further. Currently the list is static.

As all iPhone users know, each time you make a call or use the maps application, and you exit the application to go see something else, the iOS will display on the top of the screen a colored bar showing that the process on the app you exited is still going; and by just touching that part of the screen it will return back to that app to whatever is doing (calling, following a route, etc) this is a helpful suggestion because while driving you want to have your eyes on the road and not on your phone trying to…

Self accident(by impact) detection and reporting automaticaly
Some(maybe many) lives could be saved if Waze could detect accident situation with its user.
It would listen to phone's accelerometer and after huge amplitude of indices form phone accelerometer and rapid, complete stop/non acceleration for about minute, it could ask user/driver for response.
If driver is not responding on phones flashing/signaling/dialog on screen, then big chance that driver is in trouble and Waze could send signal of SOS to closest users and even to local administrators to check out situation. Recommend a voice option with just 1 hazard button. Hit 1 button, WAZE asks what the hazard is, you say “pothole” etc
Have the option in settings to do voice notifications. Then there will be just one button to hit on the screen. Waze asks what the hazard is and we say, “pothole”, “object on road”, ‘Police” etc. This will make for a much safer journey.

Queue the reports in background
There are 2 situation:
1) sometime where there is a short loss of data connection and I try to send a traffic report on Waze it tells me there isn't connectivity and cannot send the report. This is not OK. The report should be put in a queue, in background, and when connectivity is back again (you can set a maximum time limit, for example 5 or 10 minutes) the report is sent automatically in the background. Meantime I should be able to queue more reports, as necessary.

Please make next steps quick/easy to see
In heavy traffic, one often has to know about upcoming turns well in advance to get into the correct lane. But to see upcoming nav steps in Waze requires clicking to the menu, then swiping to the second page, then clicking Nav List -- way too many steps. Please make it easy to see the next step or whole list from the main screen. I suggest enabling a jump to the nav list if the user clicks on the name of the next street. (I intuitively try this; may have been default functionality on a prior GPS.)

Many cars don't have a display on the dashboard, but can display the data via a Bluetooth connection with a wireless adapter in the OBD2 port.

Update "auto focus" on notifications
I use Waze on my Android linked with Android Auto in my Mazda CX5. It has a display, but not a touch screen. When it comes up with a notification like "vehicle on shoulder" I can never get the focus to stay on "Not There" or "Still There" because every time the mileage updates, the focus jumps to the "Search" icon. Do not change FOCUS when mileage updates.
