Children's game based on the new locations encountered during a drive
A game aimed at children that links the driving experience to the area being driven through. So, for example, I spy puzzles based on nearby landmarks (eg I spy, spelling the name of the neighborhood). Raises children's awareness of the world around us, much like pokemon got people exploring their local neighborhoods on foot. Puzzle ideas can be provided by other wazers/children.

Create a "soft warning" for known situations.
For example: A location where speed traps are consistently reported would have a warning in a radius such as "speed traps have been reported here." The color of the warning could fade from red to orange as reports decline or vice versa. There's one street I travel where there's a cop shooting radar 80% of the time. There could be a warning about that regardless of if a Wazer had been through recently.

Having a date and time when petrol prices were last updated when you are viewing a petrol station location would be beneficial please.

Place of origin and departure time in planned drive
Hi waze! I always use your planned drive. The problem is, after I make a planned drive, I can't see the place of origin and departure time in planned drives' list. Only destination and arrival time are shown in the list. We're having hard time putting it in our record.

Optimal route calculation - include price (consumption/persons time)
I notices that fastest route is chosen.
I always watch for alternatives if there is a similar time but shorter version.
Wery ofter is similar time (for example 20minutes faster vis highway, 23 minutes via road), but via high way is 30 km, via normal road is 15km. Difference in consumprion is huge, difference in time is acceptable, even if I calculate the price of my time.If you calculate best way based on "price", optimal way will be better.
Solution: calculate price of people time (for example 10USD for an hour) and 0,1 USD for one kilometer. Best…

Vehicle Type - Van to be added
Under Vehicle Type in Settings, Could there be a vehicle type for Vans that shows the correct speed you can go on certain roads, as in the UK Vans are restricted on speed on certain types of roads like on a national speed limit single carriageway it 50mph for a van instead of 60mph, aswell as a dual carriageway it’s 60mph instead of 70mph.

exceeded speed limit voice instead of beeping
Please add the option to hear a voice warning like "you're driving to fast" or in dutch "je rijdt te snel".

On a feedback there is no ability to report INCORRECT SPEED LIMITATIONS.IE Waze shows 50 KM/hour in a 40 Km/hour area
Need to be able to press the golden diamond and notify speed display incorrect. This could be a permanent road change as on the Esplanade , Lindisfarne Tas. where 50 shows in 40 zone, or temporary restriction for roadworks

local law icons (like "no-turn-on-red")
I travel a lot for work, and never know basic road rules where I'm at. So I always err on the side of caution. Things like "Can I turn right on a red?", better not.
It would be AWESOME if I could drop a very small little overlay with icons of my choosing for (optional overlay please, with checkboxes if I want this particular feature):
- Right-turn-on-red "green-yes / red-no / grey-unknown"
- Passing-on-right-allowed "<same colors>"

Safe directions based on weather and no left turns. It would be really great if Waze determine directions based on hazardous conditions
I would like an option where I can get directions that avoid left turns. In Addition it would be great to get directions based on hazardous conditions. For example, today it’s snowy and icy. It would have been great if Waze would have given me directions based on the lowest incline hills and where conditions would be safest for driving.

time zone temp fix
If it's too difficult to have Waze team fix the time zone issue, how about Waze telling the user the destination crosses a diff time zone and to display a warning that they should manually set the time zone on their phone to the actual destination time zone to prevent confusions/issues. That way, Waze won't adjust when crossing the zone and destination will display ETA correctly for the whole trip. At arrival, another warning could be to remind the user to set his time zone on phone back to "automatic".

Indicate the speed limit on each portion in addition to the speedometer. Indicate the time or the last wazer to borrow the same road.
Save favorite places on the internet account, it avoids recreating when changing phone.

Optional "no map" (trip computer) view when route is known
8 out of 10 times I use Waze driving to and from work, a route I know very well so I don't need Waze to show me my position on the map.
What I instead would like is a "trip computer" kind of interface, showing me things like my current speed, current speed limit (if known), maybe a color code for traffic ahead on route (green, yellow, red), ETA, current road name (nice to have, not need to have - I know where I am), live updates of incidents (needs to update themselves automatically), textual navigation instructions like…15 votes -
Speed Camera Distance Notification
Using Waze on my iPhone 14 I have noticed that although the position of the camera relative to my car icon is correct & accurate, distance notification pop-up is always about 150-175 yards out. As I pass the camera the countdown continues from 150 yards to zero !!
It's rather annoying that Waze is still showing the distance after I have passed the camera !! The location of the cameras are always correct relative to the arrow representing my car.
Also tried Waze on my car android head unit, and see the same error.

Various suggestions taken from other systems
Hello everyone,
after a period where I have been a passenger of friends and colleagues ( due to surgery ) I decided to write down what, in my opinion, can be insights to further improve this navigation system.As a first suggestion ( I copy the idea from AmiGo ) is to make the indication of the speed limit and current speed more intuitive and readable by using colors inside the speedometer. The idea of verbally indicating the speed of speed cameras can also be very helpful.

Routing server timeout on long drives
Since the app seems to consistently time out looking for long drives, I would recommend allowing more back end resources be used for drives over a certain mileage or time. This might require an upgrade based on the high number of users.
Instead of having just one option, I would like to be able to choose between options since there are riskier routes for adding traffic.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue since I can have perfect service on an iPhone 6S and consistently have your servers time out.

Restore real-time route tracking
Waze used to provide highly accurate real-time traffic updates. I am requesting that this functionality be restored. Currently, the app seems to calculate travel time based on long-term historical statistics, which might be effective in massive megacities, but in a city of half a million people, the routing is consistently inaccurate.
Last week was a school holiday. Today, the app is clearly relying on statistics from that holiday period rather than the actual real-time traffic conditions. Due to these flawed formulas, a commute that should have taken 35 minutes ended up taking over an hour. Please prioritize real-…1 vote
