1. Witness me

   I am a very enraged American at what is happening to our people of color and the less fortunate when It comes to police interactions. You guys already have an app infrastructure and feel you could easily add features to make this happen. I want an app called witness me. So all you have to do it press the button on the screen and it sends a push notification to everyone that has the app downloaded within a certain area. I want something to get people to band together so stupid shit doesn’t keep happening. Larger crowds would mean more accountability and pressure to do the right thing. And when they don’t it has many more witnesses that can record and front the truth forward. It could also be used in situation where you think you are being kidnapped or you are being ganged up on. I feel like it would be more useful in big cities

   I’m not sure how intellectual property works. I don’t have time or money to try and create an app. I don’t want any credit or recognition and would sign paper saying that. We need to find a way to shut the police force down from committing murder on people. Murder is never an option for a non violent crime. I’m sure this will fall to deaf ears but I have to try. 2. Map should prioritize route ahead on screen

   In addition to "Keep map north up" on or off (the only options I see currently), I'd like an option that does an offset to navigation direction (map north up "off") where it tries to fit more of the road ahead on the screen.

   I regularly drive curvy roads and it shows me no warnings ahead on the highway when the road just curves left or right straight off the screen. What I'm suggesting would not keep North up, but keep the road ahead up and on-screen more often. This is probably more helpful on highways than in towns, so it seems like it should be an auto-on/off feature for highways or rural areas (outside of towns/cities), maybe when travelling over 30mph.

3. Add distances to next POI

   Audi Nav system has a really useful widget on the display showing how many miles/kms to the next POI along the route you have selected. By way of an example I found it really useful to be able to glance at the screen and see that the next service station was 3 miles away and the one after was 30 miles. This could be used for a variety of POIs and you could go as far to also add fuel/charging points and the prices of fuel at those areas. The key part of this idea though is that it considered the route you are on and so should not include POIs that are not directly on your route.

4. User preferences for level of detail in turn instructions

   I keep my audio set to "Alerts only" and am familiar with my metro area's turns and continuations and, when I preview my route's turns, I like for the list of instructions to be as concise as possible. I like that "View Only" instructions don't show up in that route preview.

   But, for a turn instruction to be spoken, it must also be included in that list of instructions. This makes it more difficult for me to distinguish the key turns on my route; it may also be an unnecessary level of detail for other drivers who are already familiar with the city.

   By creating user preference levels for the amount of detail in turn instructions, we could be more consistent in our application of the lane guidance's "View & Hear" and "View Only" options.

6. When approaching each HOT lane entry point tell me how much time I'll save by paying the toll, even if no time savings

   In areas with parallel, optional toll/express lanes like Northern VA -
   At EACH HOT(High Occupancy Toll)/Express lane entry point tell me how much time I will save by choosing the toll lane, even if that time is 0 or negative.
   Ex. "Approaching entrance to a parallel Toll lane, at this time entering the toll lane is estimated to be 30 min faster than the regular lanes"
   Ex. "Approaching entrance to a parallel Toll lane, at this time there is no time benefit to entering the toll lane."

   Currently I think maybe Waze is suggesting I pay the $15 toll to save 2min. Or, I think maybe I should take the toll lane just to be safe in case Waze didn't re-calculate for traffic backing up in the free lanes (this happened recently - I was not directed to enter the toll lane, then had a 10min delay in the normal lanes due to an accident backup that had obviously been there since long before I passed the toll entry point).

Meine Beobachtung war in der Dresdner Innenstadt, dass die App zwar auf die Verkehrsleitlinie hinweist, aber das falsche Tempolimit anzeigt, denn in unserer Gegend gibt es ziemlich viele Orte, an denen abends von 22:00 bis 06:00 Uhr ein Tempolimit von 30 km/h gilt: 00, dies sollte in der App verbessert werden. 9. Store "Personal" Report Categories In Device's Memory

   Currently, when you "Send A Report" a coordinate is set(i.e. disabled car on side of road where you are currently located) and "everybody using Waze" sees that "Disabled Car Warning" in their app on their device. I recommend that you allow a user to store several "personal settings/reports" that will be stored in the device your app is on and each time your vehicle approaches that "waypoint/whatever category" a recognizable audible warning will advise you that you are "1/2 mile from _________". Another user was suggesting a report option for "Hazards>On Road>Dangerous Intersection-maybe a Black Point)a point where a lot of accidents happen, so driver can be extra careful" which would be a VERY GOOD example of what I would want to store as a "Personal Report" for my app's use only. That way, the setting won't "garb up" every Waze app user's screen with info that may not be important to them....but is VERY important to me:0)
   What about it.........good idea.....EASY Waze software update(BTW, I was a mainframe programmer for over 40 years before retiring, so I could send you the code to update your app,,,,,if you can use COBOL:0)
   C'mon guys do you realize how many accidents may be prevented because a "Dangerous Intersection" warning made them more aware of their surrounding helping them to proceed more safely through that area(would be nice if the "set waypoint" is detected up to 1/2 mile in any of the four directions from that intersection & highlighting/marking the intersection red on the map would be nice too:0)

10. Hello I was in Austria and in a section of 100km/h with the IG-L supplement, I didn't know if it applied to me and when I was driving 130km

    I was in Austria and in a section of 100km/h with the IG-L supplement, I didn't know if it applied to me and when I was driving 130km/h waze didn't warn me that if my car runs on gasoline, it applies to me. It would be good, even if this tab is not active down in one strip, to explain to everyone what it means if it happens to light up in this section. In the settings, there is the type of vehicle and the preferred gasoline, and from that this information could be clear that it concerns me. So please, in the given area, 100 would be displayed below in a red circle and IG-L, if it lights up, you have to go 100 km/h. This would not be shown for electric cars because it does not apply to them.

    And one more observation.
    In one section down the hill, about 7 km long, there was a 100 km/h sign on the freeway and a measurement of about the distance between vehicles, 2 seconds of driving between vehicles. On the Waze screen, I saw a vertical green bar on the left, but it would be good to permanently warn at the bottom of the measurement of 2 seconds of driving, or an image with two cars and arrows between them with 2s on the arrow.

    I really like using this application and I was very pleased with the improvements, specifically 50 in the circle and the note that after *** m the speed will be reduced. It really saves gas and brakes, because if I'm 90 km/h and I take my foot off the gas, I arrive at the village at just 50-60 km/h.

11. Waze Public Restroom Locator

    PROBLEM:

    Several times a day, all humans share the common need to use the restroom. Some of us need to go more frequently than others for various reasons, but when nature calls, it’s a universal truth that we have to answer.

    In contrast to Waze's capabilities in providing traffic updates, routes, parking and directions, there is currently no shortcut feature for locating public restrooms. This gap underscores the challenge of finding nearby public restrooms, particularly in unfamiliar areas. Even if you manage to find one, it may be closed for maintenance during certain hours or lack essential amenities like accessibility or a changing station. Moreover, you might discover that the restroom is unclean or unsafe, leading you to regret not choosing a different direction where a restroom offering a more pleasant experience could have been just two minutes the other way.

    SOLUTION:

    Bathroom needs can rise unexpectedly at anytime, making it essential to find the nearest restroom quickly. Imagine if Waze could utilize your location to pinpoint nearby public restrooms. Users could then rate these facilities based on cleanliness, capacity, safety and available amenities. Details such as whether the restroom is currently open and its operating hours would also be provided, ensuring that users have crucial information when they need it most. This feature would greatly enhance convenience and help users find suitable restrooms efficiently.

13. Check your data for Peoria AZ and surrounding areas. I use Waze every day and I have never had such trouble as I had around there.

    I’m reaching out to share a suggestion for an improved alert system in the Waze app, specifically for users who are driving in horizontal phone orientation. This change would make it easier to understand alerts in critical situations, such as approaching speed cameras, and improve overall road safety.
    Suggested Features for Improved Camera Alert and Speed Management:

    Dynamic Color-Coded Speed Warning Line
        When a vehicle is going faster than the speed limit, the navigation line or speedometer could turn red to clearly indicate overspeeding, especially as it approaches a camera radar zone.
        The red alert could automatically revert to green when the vehicle slows down to within the road’s speed limit, providing a visual confirmation of safe speed.
    
    Continuous Alert Buzz in Camera Zones
        To improve driver awareness, a continuous buzzing alert could activate when in a camera radar zone and exceeding the speed limit. The buzz would continue until the driver slows down to the speed limit, offering a gentle but persistent reminder to drive safely.
        Additionally, offering options for customizable alert sounds or vibration patterns could enhance the user experience, particularly for drivers who prefer quieter or tactile alerts.
    
    Optimized Alerts in Horizontal Orientation
        For users holding their phones in landscape mode, it can sometimes be difficult to notice camera alerts. A pop-up alert box could be introduced, displaying "Camera Zone: Reduce Speed" alongside the current speed limit and vehicle speed. This overlay would appear upon approaching a camera zone, helping drivers better understand and react to alerts when using horizontal orientation.

    I’m reaching out to share a suggestion for an improved alert system in the Waze app, specifically for users who are driving in horizontal phone orientation. This change would make it easier to understand alerts in critical situations, such as approaching speed cameras, and improve overall road safety.

17. dont provide directions in areas that you don't have the need infrastructure. I will never use this app again. 4th Time on a 30min detour

    If you don't have the infrastructure to successfully navigate and provide directions to a certain geographic location; don't fucking provide directions. This is the 4th time that waze directions have sent me on a thirty minute detour. The last time sent me into a dead end. No light. Neighborhood. Ran out of gas and had to call AAA. I'm holding back the urge to have my attorney contact your company for liquidated damages and potential harm.
    I was a big fan of your app when I lived in la. But I will never use this app again. I will make sure I inform everyone I know to do the same.

    Don't provide information you don't have. Your app is as useful as a asking a crack head for directions.

19. Download Routes

    Having downloadable routes, would really for help for areas like the Peak District or coastal areas where there is little to no GPS or Cellular Network.
    Being stuck in the middle of nowhere, with no network or gps is not a pleasant experience, especially when the existing route has failed, very likely to being out of cellular networks range
