Searching during navigating with carplay
I think the worst thing about Waze is searching for a stop on your existing route.
You click on gas stations and it comes up with a list. Not helpful while driving. Especially when those are not directly on the route. They could be behind you or far off the actual route.
I use Google maps a lot more for local trips because of this feature. You need to add a stop on the route…whether it’s gas or an address and when you put that in. It shows 5 locations on the actual map so you can physically how far…

Pile Up Warning
Recently I avoided a near miss i attribute primarily to Waze giving me the advanced warning of trouble ahead. About a week later is when Texas suffered a 100+ car pile up and I thought wait a minute.
I'd like to see the ability to report a "pile up" accident. I believe this should activate a push notification to users who have Waze installed, are on that road, and heading in that direction and when I say push, I mean push!
Have blinking warning, audible voice saying " warning, major pileup ahead!"

Stop avoiding intersections with stoplights and routing to dangerous intersections.
I drive rideshare and I am constantly routed away from stoplights only to end up a very busy intersection that Waze wants me to cross or turn left onto a super busy cross-street that have low visibility due to cars parked along the side or large shrubbery. There is usually no way to turn around and I am stuck with having to wait for quite a long time for a safe time to cross or turn into high speed traffic. Requesting roadside assistance
When we drive past a car on the side of the road, we can mark if it's there or not. What if, the person who's stopped, doesn't know who to change a tire or needs alittle bit of coolant to get going?
If it doesn't merit calling a towtruck, they could signal that specific thing on waze. Anyone can pull over and offer assistance, but what if you knew exactly what the problem is and how to help them? You'd be much more likely to stop to help

Stop changing routes automatically while I'm driving!
Waze needs to stop AUTOMATICALLY changing my route on me. It's frustrating especially when I chose the non-toll route on the way back. Then I look at the app and it's showing the route I did NOT choose!!

Turn off close to home
Much the same way the “still there” interface pops up when you are close to a reported cop or car on the side of the road, have a pop off for “continue/stop” when you are close to home. I suggest 1mile radius from your Home location.

More route options than 3
The user gets to choose from as many routes as possible, ordered by time, trip range and optional personal preference (let's say a stop they plan on making or a specific route they prefer to take).

add additional report radius
5 miles it's often to small for decisions but 25 to far on longer local journeys, such as work. Adding a ten mile radius option and maybe increasing in multiples of ten would work better than the current format

Fix the 3 finger, while driving hazard reporting!
I used to LOVE Waze. Now I pretty much hate it. You need to bring back the ability to report issues and hazards while people are actively driving. I loved that I used to be able to press the screen with three fingers and say "hazard." Then the map voice would ask ' what type of hazard; on road or on shoulder or done.' It was amazing, I could report anything easily while still safely driving; the the map voice would give choices for what to report and actually send a real report. Now the only way I can report…

Remove the "Thanks!" message and make it easier to stop navigation
Make it easier to stop navigation. An visible X or similar in the edge of the map. I have had trouble finding the stop navigation button after sending an alert because the "thanks.you helped other wazers" message because it doesn't go away and i cant even see the lower panel for arrival time!

Stop keeping the GPS on at all time
Stop keeping the GPS on at all times you're killing my battery and data. No other app is using the GPS at all times constantly except you. This is ridiculous and I'm thinking about deleting the app and switching to Google Maps. Please provide a solution or a fix to this giant issue.

Waze now says “IN ABOUT…” then follows up with the rest of a direction. It’s excruciating to use now. In about, in about, in about…….
IN ABOUT one more month of listing to Waze say IN ABOUT, I’m ABOUT to stop using the app completely.
I have been using Waze since it was a BETA program.
A few months ago it started saying “IN ABOUT….” before every instruction. It is absolutely maddening to listen to.
Please do SOMETHING.

Live Distance to next toll barrier
Like on the BMW GPS system, where you have an indication of the distance of the next toll barrier.
As the controls are mainly in the 10km before the toll barrier so it is easy to get stopped, this indication would bring much more safety.1 vote -
I would like to see a pickup staging option for ride share and taxi drivers.
As a recent UBER driver, I find WAZE an invaluable tool, as it integrates as a navigator right into their system so I do not have to enter the address manually. I have been using waze since it has been introduced here in Minneapolis, and threw away my old nav systems... Here is an improvement I'd like to see. I would like the option to add a stop to the current address(without having to do it manually), 2 addresses back from the stop, on the same side of the street. Call it a staging stop. Disable Carplay notifications
I want an option to turn off Waze carplay notifications for next turn because they block UI of other apps like Spotify controls.
Also when you are stopped just before the turn the same turn notification pops continuously and this needs to be fixed as it blocks interfaces.

go back to previous route planner as today the version is proposing strange routes and for sure not the best anymore
since 3 or 4 updates , the efficiency is going down !!!!

routes proposed not anymore efficient : strange proposals => software lost in efficiency not proposing the best route and consistent alternatives or not proposing appropriate deviations saving really time
sory but I will stop using it as now google maps is becoming very effective !!!

Bonjour,
Le bouton orange situé en bas à droite sert à signaler différentes choses. Il ouvre sur une page avec 10 icônes, et chacune est à choix multiples : il faut les ouvrir pour savoir ce qui est dedans, et comme c’est écrit en petit il faut se concentrer dessus, au détriment de la sécurité, notamment lorsque l’on a pas de co-pilote.
Pour renforcer la sécurité, pourquoi ne pas mettre uniquement 9 icônes à choix unique (qui tiendront sur la page), avec un logo bien clair pour chacune, et une 10ème icône à choix multiple que l’on ne pourrait…2 votes -
Increase the menu arrow on Android Auto
When using Waze on Android Auto, the arrow to the menu "Routes, Stop, Search Sound" should be bigger; it's too tiny for us to be sure that is already selected (without having a touchscreen unit) during the day, especially bright ones, during the drive.
