1. Ability to add an E-Z Pass discount

   Where I live there are E-Z Pass discount programs depending on where you live. For example, because I live in a certain town, I get a discount on one of the tolls that I have to drive to get out of town. Normally, the toll is $1.25 but I only have to pay 10 cents. I feel like Waze often doesn't suggest that route because there is a large toll but for me there isn't so I'd rather go that way than a round about way to avoid the toll. And yes, I do know about the setting of avoiding tolls and I don't have that setting on for Waze to avoid tolls. But I feel like it doesn't offer me that route often because there is another round about way that avoids the toll but often adds a few minutes to the drive.

2. PLEASE add ability to mark lanes!

   Please add ability to mark which lanes are affected by reports especially crashes, stopped vehicles, debris/hazards and closures! Being able to quickly and easily navigate away from a problem would be a HUGE benefit over all other navigation apps!😊

3. Police car (camera hotspots) or patrol car hotspots

   I know people generally tend to post where police cars are, but this can sometimes be inaccurate due to them moving around (highway patrol and police camera vehicles). Maybe a highlight on the map where reports are generally made frequently

4. Permanent “End of Pavement” Alert

   In several regions, especially on state highways and rural roads, there is an abrupt transition in pavement—for example, the end of the asphalted section and the beginning of a dirt or basalt-stone road. These sudden surface changes can catch drivers by surprise, particularly during low-visibility hours, adverse weather conditions, or on higher-speed roads.

   Technical and Road Safety Justification:
   Changes in pavement type can pose significant risks to drivers, such as:
   Rear-end collisions, when the vehicle ahead suddenly slows upon noticing the change in pavement;
   Loss of control and roadway departures, due to loose gravel, irregularities, or reduced traction on dirt or basalt surfaces;

   Increased braking distance, especially when transitioning from asphalt to a more unstable surface.
   A similar situation is already recognized by road authorities, and several highways physically signpost “End of Pavement.” The alert would follow the same usability logic and importance as the current “Sharp Curve,” “Complex Intersection,” and other warnings already implemented in the app.

   Implementation Proposal:
   Create a new type of permanent alert that allows editors to map points where the following occurs:
   End of asphalt pavement, or
   Transition to gravel/basalt stones/compact dirt.

   This alert would be displayed to drivers with adequate advance notice, allowing for planned speed reduction and improved operational safety, aligning with good practices in road signage and accident prevention.

5. On Navigation preferences

   Could you add an “Avoid Parkways”feature?
   Small commercial vehicles like pick up trucks and small vans are not allowed in parkways in Ct and NY and it’s really complicated to move around those areas because Waze will calculate all routes using the Parways.

6. Alternative Routes Button: Force a Short Detour Option (Skip Next 1-2km of Active Route)

   I confirm that I checked if this idea has already been posted, and did not find it: :whitecheckmark:

   My suggestion is for the following feature:
   The alternative routes button should provide an additional option to force a short detour for the next 1-2 km from my current position, bypassing a portion of the active route, regardless of whether the detour is optimal, slower, or less preferred.

   My suggestion solves this problem:
   Currently, alternative routes only offer optimal paths for reaching the destination. Sometimes, however, I need to skip only the next few kilometers of the route—especially if there is traffic, an accident, or a stopped vehicle that Waze is not aware of. In these situations, I need a quick way to temporarily deviate from the planned route, even if the detour is not optimal for the entire journey.

   In more words:
   Many times I’ve experienced situations where, due to local hazards or traffic not recognized by Waze, I want to simply skip the immediate next part of my route (1-2 km ahead) before returning to the suggested path. Alternative routes offered by Waze do not help here, as they usually provide only entirely different overall routes and do not allow for these short, forced detours. A button that forces a brief local detour, even if suboptimal, would greatly improve safety and flexibility.

7. Bubble android auto

   Hello,
   I use Waze for my work.
   On the touch screen of the car, when I press on a road it is highlighted in blue but the bubble to press "GO" does not appear as on the smartphone application.
   I have the same problem with different brands of vehicles.

9. How about some real application support?

   Here's an idea... how about offering some actual support for problems not addressed in the FAQ and canned responses?

   All of my points, accomplishments, rank, etc. were lost when I replaced my phone, and I've been trying for a month to get help, to no avail.

   My emails to waze.cases got a canned response with a case number (1-9525000006984), and instructions to reply if the problem persists. Well, it persists and my replies continue to go unanswered.

   For an app whose value is based largely on its community of users, it's very discouraging to not be able to get help. I've been actively contributing to the app and community for a year, can someone over at Waze maybe give a few minutes to look into problems like this? I know from researching the issue that I'm not the only one!

10. PRICE MATCHING

    Gas apps could provide the consumer with a way to start making gas stations compete with each other on pricing much like grocery stores, etc. I believe most retailers offer price matching and or acceptance of competitor coupons so maybe having these apps can start forcing gas stations to become a little bit more competitive within their communities. For the consumer that penny or two difference ultimately doesn't really make a huge difference to us but maybe also by doing this we can start teaching them to be less greedy because that penny across the thousands of people pumping gas at their station makes a difference. I was very angry to notice that a gas station in my neighborhood increased its prices by $0.20 overnight as we approached this holiday that to me is sheer and utter greed and completely taking advantage of the fact that they know many people will be traveling in their vehicles to spend time with family and enjoy a long weekend. Based on what I witnessed I will no longer give this gas station my business in any form and the one thing that is to our advantage is we have choices and this could make it easier for us to exercise those choices and maybe force their hands

11. add actual pulloff areas on map

    Along I-70 in Colorado, we have many areas that are paved pulloff areas that should be added to the map. To many people mark cars as being on the shoulder of the road when they are pulled completely off the road and in a designated pulloff area. This gives false warnings of vehicles on the shoulder of the road.

12. Correction: Location of 680 Piper Street in Collierville, TN

    Waze directed me to the wrong location for this address, which is a self-storage facility. It was formerly owned by the Piper family and was named Piper Self Storage. The company changed hands 1.5 years ago. The 680 Piper Street is the correct address, but it is NOT located south of the railroad tracks in Collierville. The correct directions would have been: In Collierville, TN, take Byhalia Road North until reaching Hwy. 57 (Poplar Ave.), turn right - go Eastbound approx. a block to the intersection of Hwy. 57 and Hwy. 72. Turn right slightly. Piper Street has no sign but is located at that interchange. The 'street' blends in with the gas station's pavement (on that corner). Turn onto the parking lot and you will locate the Piper Storage large sign straight ahead at the business. (This storage unit company is 'tucked away'. I was late for my first day of work because of this Waze error. Since we are in the 'moving' and 'storage' business, interested parties need very specific directions in order to find this facility with ease.)

13. Traumatic

    Possibly new category of report. "Traumatic" title proceeding current and or new reportable events to alert drivers who may have younger children or sensitive occupants in their vehicles of situations such as accidents or struck wildlife that may be extremely visible to other passing motorists, so the driver can choose to detour and avoid exposure of such traumatic instances to their passengers or their selves.

14. Work with Apple to bring back Siri support for Waze

    I found on a Google forum that you removed Siri support since Apple's new privacy policy "prohibits apps from collecting data about users' location without their consent." But arguments can be made that everything here is consensual. Please work to bring this back since it was a VERY useful feature for Car Play, in an era of dangerous touchscreen in our vehicles.

15. Stop the app suggesting a "better" route during a drive if it'd require a sudden change of lanes/direction

    I've just dealt with a user report complaining that their app will sometimes suddenly change the route as they're approaching a major junction, and in order to follow the new route would require a late and potentially dangerous change of lanes.

    Given we now have lane guidance and lane count details available in the map data, it should be feasible to work out when it might be a really crazy idea to be telling the user to start following a different route to the one they're currently on, due to the need to make a sudden change of lanes, and stick to the existing route at least until the user gets past the current multi-lane section of their route and is in a better position to follow an alternative.

    In a similar vein, even on sections of the route without lane details (whether because they just haven't been added yet, or because they don't need to be added), it'd also be preferable for the route recalculations not to assume that a user will be able to follow a different route through the next junction, if the junction would be reached within a minimum time threshold (to account for both the distance remaining and the speed at which their vehicle is travelling), and instead force any alternate route to still follow the same path through that junction, so that any change in route which IS then suggested gives the user enough time to see what the change entails.

    When any driver is confirmed pick up and that person is cancelling the ride at the end where the traveller cannot get another ride and have to hire Uber or Lift and have to pay so much money who will be the responsible person to pay that money, I believe there should be the drivers responsibility to arrange another vehicle or there should be a time limit to cancel the ride by driver and cannot cancel end time. So traveler will have enough time to get another ride on time. There should be assurance for the traveller so he or she doesn't have to worry about what will happen he or she doesn't have any ride to go back to home if the traveller has to pay so much money from the pocket would heart the travelers to trust Waze and will fail Waze to increase the travelers. I would say Traveler should not be left behind end up paying so much money will hurt Waze a lot to be succeed in the future. Recently i had a very bad experience the driver name Gopichand had canceled my ride at the end and i was having very badf time end up losing a lot from every where and he was very rude i have all the communication that is not acceptable behavior that he was communication with me after cancel the ride. and mu suggestion to Waze you should protect the right for the travelers in order to be succeed in your business.

19. Add an emergency broadcast system for active shooter nearby

    My kids go to a TX university where they have a fairly robust emergency broadcast system for students who opt into the service. They are texted when 'authorities' (there are validation cycles/sources) have determined an emergency situation is in process notifying students of an active situation (either active shooter or lockdown for violent person escape/at large).

    I know Waze does have some features with other traffic or EMS emergency notification features, but I think there might be a valid case to use the Government and Public Safety alert systems for people who are within a mile of an active shooter situation. (Or whatever distance). If verified information through Emergency systems tracked to GPS on mobile phones and apps, an emergency alert should sound displaying the map location where the activity is taking place.

    Sadly, it has come to the point in this country when going shopping or to a concert may involve an emergency situation. Waze has some available technology to build out this idea quickly (I believe) and also has business relationships with other companies to send emergency messages through devices if the Waze app is not open.

20. Old Pine Road. Ford, VA

    Old Pine Road, Ford, VA is not off of Wells Road, Ford, VA. The map is wrong. When they turn off of Wells Road, they go through my parents' farm which is a private driveway. We have a sign posted stating the GPS is wrong but delivery vehicles and others are still going through our land and find out they cannot get through. Please correct it on you map. The only way they can go through is from Baltimore Road, Ford, VA.
