  1. Allow for the addition of signage symbols for turn instructions.

I'm not asking for the ability to add all road signage (e.g. regulatory signage) as this would be overkill, but many countries include symbolism on big green signs to display additional services on a turn instruction without having to use lengthy text to do so.

While some symbolism exists in unicode/emoji form, these are not uniform across platforms and having country specific visual aids to add to signs would be a valuable way of informing drivers of additional services on their turn instructions.

The types of signs I would like to see added include:
    * Accomodation
    * Camping
    * Caravan…

  2. Remove multiple closures

If you have a list of closures that need to be removed, it would be good to have a way of removing them in one go. Either by a selection check box option, or just a single Remove All option.

  4. Split Place

After the succes of the Merge Places feature I would like to add a request to Split Places.

There are instances where wazers add a photo to a place that is not related to that place, but something nearby. At this moment we don't have a choice but to reject the photo. I would like an opportunity to use it to create a new place.

  5. A place with an expiration date

I would like to suggest adding an expiration date to a place. When the expiration data is reached the place deletes it self from the map. This option is good for places such as events like weddings, parties, sports tournament etc..
Today, many such places which their event date passed exist on the map and nobody remembers to delete them and the map gets loaded.
The expiration date default would be of course - No expiration so that new places would not be deleted.
Such an option is already implemented in Map comments.

  6. Setting "Repeat every year" on an existing restriction

Now that we have the "Repeat every year" checkbox for restrictions, it'd be useful if we could tick this for existing restrictions to turn them into repeating ones, without the need to then also edit the start/end dates to avoid the "Start date can not be in the past" error.

e.g. a segment has an existing restriction set for 5th September 2019 to 20th October 2019, and the restriction is one that ought to be set as recurring.

The preferred workflow would be for the editor to simply tick the "Repeat every year" checkbox and save, without any other changes…

  7. Editing permissions - change request

I suggest to chane some editing pernissions as follows (the current required level is given in parenthisis):

    1. Giving a "narrow street" road type to a segment: 3 (1)
    2. Entering a TBR / TBTR (this includes difficult turn and toll road designation): 3 (1)
    3. Enter a turn instruction override: 3 (1)
    4. Delete a segment that someone else created: 3 (2)
    5. Create a new MTE: 4 (1)
    6. View RTC details (view only): 1 (4)
    7. View of house numbers: 1 (2)

  8. Better usability for the turn guidance feature

Very great that we actually have an preview for the expected turn instruction in the client visible in the WME.

    1. BUT when the input of the user exeeds the length of the preview box, the text is cut off. The text labels in the visual instruction and torwards line are capable of showing 5 letters only, it is not possible to read longer names there at once and it is prone to error (for example typos). This must be improved.
This doesn't allow easy every day editing and error correction. Draggable road shield boxes and the text labels are pending.

  9. Report wild animals on the live map

Report wild animals on the live map

The idea would be to report on the live map, about wild animals (whether: goats, foxes or any type) that the report lasted a couple of hours on the road, and over time reports and warnings could be made about the roads where there are more appearances.
This would be very good for secondary roads or mountain passes, in such a way as to create a warning if the route passes through an area that has a high level of reports of wild animals and the user would drive with more caution.

  10. Display creation date for KOI Fish suggestions

Map Suggestions from Waze users come with a timestamp, just like all elements in the editor.

Please display the timestamp for KOI Fish map suggestions as well.

  11. Allow sending Update Requests closing message when the map update succeeds

Send the UR closing message to the user when the map really gets updated (contains all changes up to the UR "closing" time).

Some things may get fixed immediately (by adding a closure or updating a place), most things require a map update. That means that we always have to write stuff like "in few days/after the next map update, the problem will be fixed".

Maybe a third button like this:
    "Mark as Solved"
    "Solve on map update" <-
    "Mark as not identified"

When the second button gets clicked a form opens when I can write a message to the…

  12. Temporary downgrade of own editor level

I’d like to suggest in the WME a switch (perhaps in the user control panel) for downgrading the own editor level.

    For example:
If I’m a level 5 Editor, but only want to edit simple streets which are only on level 1, i can switch my own editor level to something lower than 5 for this action. This would prevent myself for accidental editing more important street e.g. highways.
Compare this with an account in the IT… Even if I am an administrator… I shouldn’t be logged in always as an admin but just as a normal user with rights…

Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

  13. Combine HNs and RPPs with best features of each

Combine HNs and RPPs with the best features of each. The current system of two different ways of showing house number, plus the need to change modes for HNs, is time-consuming and counter-productive. They need to be combined with capabilities such as interpolation, use on any type of road and searchability on all.

  14. Real-Time Speed limit

In relation with the time based speed limits, it would be interesting to have the possibility to change speed limits in real time.
In some european countries for example they limit the speed limit on all the highways in a country to 90kph due to too high Co2 levels.

Having this option would set waze apart from other navigation apps.

  15. Improve PopUp in closures

Hi, im thinking in the posibility to include popup with Pic or Image when we creates a closure or Wazer (N3+) add image to existent closure, i mind, if i Drive with Waze app and that shows pics or photograpy about reason of closures, that helps to Wazers to know the reason and to us (like editors) to keep actualized and clear ending closures.

    Thanks for all!

  16. Organize Urs

It would be good if when there are many overlapping URs, clicking on one would open only one window and within it the nearby URs would be sorted by date and time. This way, if a user reports several times by mistake, there is no need to respond several times, which can lead to annoyance for this user. I think it would be better organized.

  17. Allow photo evidence of map errors

Allow photo evidence of map errors.

Sometimes trying to explain what error happened while driving is difficult to upload (while driving) and difficult to explain (after the fact) but allowing someone to upload a photo of the map when it is performing an error is much easier. It’s 2024. Why isn’t this a thing yet?

  18. Make U-turn segment length shorter to 10m.

In India it's very difficult to create U-turns with segment lengths greater than 16m.
Please make it 10m or between 10m and 16m.

    Thanks.

  19. A/B Testing of map changes

Imagine if we could test two versions of a navigation instruction with different driver groups and use real data—like User Reports, detours, speed changes, and quick feedback—to see which one works better. This could make a big difference for things like lane guidance, difficult turns, and complex instructions.

A/B testing would give us real insights to help make navigation clearer and safer for drivers everywhere. If we could get Waze on board, it could mean big improvements for the whole map-editing community.

  20. RTC : ability to add them on current tiles

    Hi,
the real time closure have a problem :

We put them in WME and WME validates them according to their current state in database. But they apply on livemap.

Imagine I have a street that is A->B. Then they decide to reverse it. So it is now saved B->A.

    In WME I have B->A
In livemap I still have A->B until tiles update.

To avoid routing people A->B, it would be nice to add a closure, but WME refuse since it thinks the road is in opposite direction.

It would be nice if WME could accept it by really…
