1. Cancel, or mute an alert.

   Is there any way to shut off the alert, "Watch out!, vehicle parked on shoulder ahead"? Or at least mute the audio portion? It is quite loud and annoying!

2. Various suggestions taken from other systems

   Hello everyone,
   after a period where I have been a passenger of friends and colleagues ( due to surgery   ) I decided to write down what, in my opinion, can be insights to further improve this navigation system.

   As a first suggestion ( I copy the idea from AmiGo ) is to make the indication of the speed limit and current speed more intuitive and readable by using colors inside the speedometer. The idea of verbally indicating the speed of speed cameras can also be very helpful.

   The second point I would like to suggest ( this time the idea comes from Apple Map ) is to display traffic lights on the map and use their location to give more detailed voice directions.

   The latest idea ( I don't remember the name of the application ) is to use the phone's camera ( if the phone is properly positioned ) with the ADAS and TSR algorithm to automatically update the map likes speed limits, closed roads, etc. 
   To be honest, this last function was communicated but I never saw it in operation.

3. One touch notices

   I have been a loyal wazer for years and use the Apple CarPlay interface. These are my suggestions:
   A) The main screen should have THREE one touch HOT BUTTONS:
   1) Object on road
   2) Vehicle on Shoulder
   3) Police

   It currently takes two or three clicks to achieve these 3 most common alerts. The change can use simple icons and safety would be greatly improved.

   B) When Waze re-routes me, it needs to give more explanation. Examples:
   1) “Re-routing due to accident mile marker 204”
   2) “Re-routing due to traffic saving 10 minutes”
   3) “Re-routing due to construction”

4. Recent Changes resulted in worse routes

   I commute to NYC daily through crazy greater NYC traffic and Waze saved me time by always great routes. Whatever changes have been implemented over the last few months have completely ruined the route selection, or criteria used to determine the routes. They are often wrong, sending me far out of my way. But when I run Apple Maps in parallel with WAZE to test these routes, they are always incorrect and take longer. The product was perfect and made me switch from MAPS. Now performance is so bad I need to switch back to MAPS in order not to waster my time.

5. Notifications on screen that divert my attention while driving.

   when I get started a black box pops up with drive ideas and while I'm driving it constantly pops up with useless info. I'm beginning to watch my screen more than the road now. Audio cues are the way to go, I don't need my screen calling my attention to a radio while I'm driving. I'm sure a lawyer would love to sue you based on this so at least give me a way to stop the messages on screen.

   Fix android automotive - Apple car play Waze map disappearing on center wheel screen if not on tablet

   Only Google map is working, and not as great yet as Waze for EV except EV recharge calculations and suggestion.
   This is really annoying, from security perspective, wish to switch radio, on tablet, map disappear on cwnterwheel display.
   Constantly have to get back to tablet radio, change station, back to CarPlay, Waze, reset center wheel console to display Google map.
   Worst if you select Google map, it disable automatically Waze on tablet and cancel trip.
   Make it work or keep independent.
   Been over 1.5 year and still no fix, seems not interested to change!

7. CarPlay - no warnings when Waze is not on full screen

   I have issue to report with Waze running on BMW iDrive8 head unit. Waze stops giving voice alerts if it is not on full screen or if I use split screen between Waze and Apple Music. Even though I have Waze opened in the instrument cluster, it does not give any voice warning if it is not full screen on the main unit. Please fix that. I don't want having Waze everywhere on my screens in order to receive voice alerts. If I have it opened on my instrument cluster, this alone should be enough to receive voice alerts, I don't want to duplicate Waze on the main unit for that.

9. Demon slayer Tanjiro (Zach Aguilar) and inosuke ( Bryce Papenbrook) voice.

   Just got into watching demon slayer, and thought how cool would it be to get navigation directions from either inosuke ( lots of energy and pep) or tanjiro ( calm and reassuring).

   I believe the demon slayer movie is being released later this year and I think this would make a nice promotional tie in.

10. Drive time inaccurate (too long)

    Hi! I’ve been using waze for many years primarily in Los Angeles. It’s always been relatively accurate at predicting drive time. However lately the drive time I’m getting is significantly longer than it actually takes and it’s often routing me out of my way to the freeway to save time when, in actuality, the more direct through town route is faster. I’ve been comparing it against Google Maps and Apple Maps, both of which have been much more accurate. So question is… what changed? As a long time Waze user, I like the app and don’t want to have to change apps. But I need my drive time and route predictions to be more accurate.

    Dear Waze.. where do you get off? Taking away helicopter take was like taking away freedom from us Americans. How dare you take away that sweet beautiful helicopter tank of mine. Do you know what grinds my gears ways you and your absurd obsession with taking control of my GPS in map needs. Take this as an act of aggression and war will follow. Mess with the bull ha ha you’re about to find out where these horns can go and let me tell your partner I don’t think you’re gonna enjoy it very much. 12. Option to set how many seconds before event like police, i get the vocal notification and pls add voice commands!

    An option for the vocal+icon notification customizable... Also an option to set 2 notifications if i want for police reports... So i can have one like 30s before and then another 10s before or 2km away. Sometimes by the time i hear the notification i have to break too hard to be able to stop before the police radar can see me. And they can record 1km away! Also an option to have on the screen customizable icons... Like i would want to have 3 icons so i can easily report police or a pothole or a dead animal... By the time i press report, then select which type of event, while goin 140kmh on the kighway, i am at least one km away from the place i wanted to mark as a pothole. And yes in Romania we have potholes in the brand new highways lol. Let us have a row of icons on the screen, and put how many we want or none... and with a 1 click direct action that we can set there. Like a taskbar. The more seconds u have to watch the screen while driving, the more the safety level goes down :( also please make talking with waze available and optional. I want to say hey waze report here a pothole and not even watch the screen for even a second.

13. Trip planning option removed from "Go to destination" window.

    PLEASE bring back the "trip planning option" ("drive at xx arrive at xx") to the main GO TO DESTINATION window !!!
    The previous version was better because this option is very useful and important when going to a destination. Searching for it in the main menu is a waste of time...and because we don't always plan a destination.

    Sometimes, when I want to go to a destination and I don't need to go now, I look for it and I watch the trafic jam. If I need to wait a few minutes/hours, I plan the route.

    I have found that Waze is the most unstable of the three major navigation platforms, which include Apple and Google Maps. It routinely has trouble figuring out where one is starting from which causes the map to freeze while the navigation continues. It also consistently either stops working (loses the route, or begins to submit random, rapidfire directions which are all incorrect). This seems to mostly happen in urban settings. While trying to get our dog to cancer treatment in Boston, your navigator went off the rails, forcing me to pull over in traffic and go to another option to get there on time. Some of your features are unique and helpful, but you really need to work on reliability, which is pretty awful.

16. Adding prohibited signs

    Is it possible to add prohibited signs like no left turn no u turn or right turn no left turn/u turn signs so people would know where to turn and stuff so that way they’re not lost and confused and that includes durning specific times like 7am-4pm Monday through Friday for example at an intersection that does not allow it on the map display wether it’s on your smartphone or in your car infotainment system because a lot of new cars these days have wireless apple carplay and android auto and I would like it if it alerted you ahead of time so that way you get a head start and not slam on the brakes all of a sudden at the last minute

17. Notifications - Moving modal and/or providing users with ability to "X" out of notifications

    In Apple Carplay, Waze notifications pop up and push the directions modal into a small bar with no information except what kind of turn and how far away it is. It removes the worded directions and has made me miss my turn plenty of times. There is no option to "X" out of the notification, only answer "Still there" or "Not still there", but what if I haven't reached the area yet so I can't accurately answer the prompt but need to see my directions? As someone who drives with the sound off in Waze, I'm requesting to provide users with an "X" in the top right of notifications modals and to either move the notifications modal or make it smaller so I can read the directions.

Also it’s time to change that terrible 90s computer voice to something better.

    Hard to believe this app is owned and managed by one of the most powerful and wealthy companies in the world, it looks and sounds like something someone made in their garage.

19. For the Love of Waze: A Real Driver's Plea to Stop the Trolls

    I'm writing to you as someone who truly loves what Waze is supposed to be: a community of drivers helping each other out. But that spirit is dying, and it's because you're letting a handful of trolls ruin it for everyone else.

    We've all seen it: phantom police cars that vanish into thin air, imaginary traffic jams on empty roads, and the completely absurd "icy road" warnings during a summer heatwave. It’s gone from being a funny quirk to a serious problem. It’s not just annoying anymore; it’s making us lose trust in the app we once relied on.

    We, the honest drivers, are tired. We need you to step in and give us the tools to fight back. Here are a few common-sense ideas:

    1. A Simple "Trust Score" for Everyone.
       This doesn't need to be complicated. If your reports are helpful and people confirm them, your hidden trust score goes up. If your reports are constantly flagged as false, your score plummets. It’s that simple.

    2. Real Consequences for Trolls.
       A bad trust score needs to mean something. Put them in a "timeout corner" where they can't report for a day. If they keep doing it, give them a week off. And for the worst offenders who just want to watch the world burn? Kick them out for good.

    3. The Biggest Fix: You Must Be THERE to Confirm.
       This is a huge one. Right now, a liar's friend can confirm a fake report from his couch miles away. That's insane. Please, make the "It's There" button dead unless a driver's GPS shows they are right on top of the report. No physical presence, no vote.

    4. Use a Little Common Sense in the App.
       Your system has all the data. Use it!

    Does a "standstill traffic" report make sense when your own data shows other Wazers flying by at the speed limit? Of course not. The system should automatically flag and remove it.
    An "icy road" report when it's clearly summer? Come on. Block those reports automatically when they make no logical sense.
    Please, listen to your community. We are the ones on the road every day trying to make this work. We want to help you clean up the app and bring back the Waze we all loved and trusted.

20. Fix calendar sync on iPhone!!

    Calendar sync used to work on my iPhone but now it's gone. I rely on this for my job which is made up of driving to many daily appointments. All my upcoming jobs were nicely listed on my main screen, then that vanished so I went to "planned drives" to find them, and now nothing is there except a screen telling me to sync my calendar but it's already switched on with all my calendars selected! Now I have to go to my calendar, click the appointment, tap the address, tap "open in Waze", click the correct location, then "find routes", and finally "go now." What used to be two taps is now like 10. PLEASE fix this! It's literally the only reason I use Waze over Apple Maps.
