Improve stability.
Waze app stability with Apple CarPlay needs improvement I have used it for years, but glitches are frustrating.
If a get a phone call while using it, it disables the radio, and I have to reset the source after hanging up.
The customized car icon turns into a blue dot, which remains stationary despite actual movement of my vehicle.
I am Ray Iglesias (Username CaptProvolone56 and have 169,027 points. I started using Google maps a few days ago, which runs smoothly.
I like the Waze app, but not at the above price.1 vote -

Trip Overview Split Screen Option
A split-screen option for the existing drive and trip overview?
For example: Left side will have the usual Waze UI, report, street name, directions, distance to turns etc... On the right side, we have the overall view of the trip.
The through process for this is that, I like to see to overall distance covered so I know how much more I have to go, while it is an option to poke "Overview" it takes the attention away from the driving which I find potentially dangerous.... Carplay user here, but I think it can be integrated into both systems.

If it is possible, it is just a suggestion in order to change the car screen system to something that you can do and it will be a very wonderful program.
First - themes for the program: colors, models of cars and their companies. We can control them within Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Secondly - The speedometer tab has a sporty shape and neat shapes that you can design and they are integrated with the themes that you will make with each car, company and model that has its own meter 💖💖1 vote -
Improve vertical UI on iPhone
Please fix the vertical user interface on iPhone! It is a complete mess, with large blacked out areas unnecessarily blocking the useful map space, therefore limiting our map vision and app experience, also the shortcuts or pop-ups are difficult to reach/click. Moreover, it doesn’t show a green line when entering part of the road under avg speed radar control. It should be an easy fix, just look at the carplay version, or maybe take ideas from google or apple maps. I am literally switching to other map providers because I have a terrible experience of using waze in vertical mode.

ich habe einige Fehler in der App entdeckt und habe ein paar Tipps und Vorschläge für euch.
Fehler: Unter „Stimme und Ton“ -> „Sprich zum Melden“ lässt sich der Button nicht aktivieren. Er schaltet sich immer wieder auf OFF. Außerdem gibt es bei Apple CarPlay ein Problem: Wenn sich die Route ändert, verlängert oder verkürzt, erscheint unten links eine Anmerkung, die mit $$ beginnt. Ich vermute, dass es sich dabei um einen Bug handelt.

One touch notices
I have been a loyal wazer for years and use the Apple CarPlay interface. These are my suggestions:
A) The main screen should have THREE one touch HOT BUTTONS:
1) Object on road
2) Vehicle on Shoulder
3) PoliceIt currently takes two or three clicks to achieve these 3 most common alerts. The change can use simple icons and safety would be greatly improved.
B) When Waze re-routes me, it needs to give more explanation. Examples:
1) “Re-routing due to accident mile marker 204”
2) “Re-routing due to traffic saving 10 minutes”
3) “Re-routing due to construction”Thanks!

Helping the police
I’m a police officer. I always have my Waze map pull up on my CarPlay. But I have found that it does not provide the names of every cross road while driving. I found that is does not have the name of the current street that I am on unless I am navigating somewhere. These are not critical changes as to how the app works in general. Mile markers on the highways would be great as well, specially if I’m trying to find the location of a reported accident. As little as these changes are, they can help save…

Only Google map is working, and not as great yet as Waze for EV except EV recharge calculations and suggestion.
This is really annoying, from security perspective, wish to switch radio, on tablet, map disappear on cwnterwheel display.
Constantly have to get back to tablet radio, change station, back to CarPlay, Waze, reset center wheel console to display Google map.
Worst if you select Google map, it disable automatically Waze on tablet and cancel trip.

turn by turn notification on in-car instrument cluster display
On my BMW 5 series (OS8.5) and CarPlay with iOS26, turn by turn notification/guidance that appears in instrument cluster is way too big, covering the route ahead which I need to drive. It is very difficult to see what is in front of me and in that case I need to look at the large display, which is not that safe especially when you need to turn. It would be much nicer to have this window moved underneath the car arrow instead of ETA window. ETA window in instrument cluster is not essential information and I could live without it,…

Durante viagens noturnas, o brilho intenso da tela pode ser bastante incômodo. confirmation for placing reports on waze map
It would be very useful if Waze had a confirmation for reports that are placed on the map. For example: ‘Are you sure you want to report roadworks?’ and so on for all possible reports
It often happens that a user enters a report that is totally different from what they actually wanted to enter, whether entered with a mobile phone or android auto / carplay, or while driving with voice commands. Speed monitoring for verbal alerting on fixed camera
There is no verbal alerting for fixed camera. I also noticed that Waze checks the speed of my car about 250 meters before the fixed camera. Afterwards, there is no longer a monitoring of the speed (during the last 250 meters before the camera). Therefore, if the driver increases the speed by lack of attention i.e. because he missed the message displayed on the Carplay screen, he becomes exposed (it was my case …). Adding prohibited signs
Is it possible to add prohibited signs like no left turn no u turn or right turn no left turn/u turn signs so people would know where to turn and stuff so that way they’re not lost and confused and that includes durning specific times like 7am-4pm Monday through Friday for example at an intersection that does not allow it on the map display wether it’s on your smartphone or in your car infotainment system because a lot of new cars these days have wireless apple carplay and android auto and I would like it if it alerted you ahead…

Make it work
Ever since Google bought it, Waze has become less and less reliable. I use it, or try to use it, with Carplay and it gets confused on interstates and lost on secondary roads. I often have to pull over and turn the car and phone off and restart both when making a trip I make very often. I tried to check a route using the web site and it finds the starting pointing and destination, but then just spins and never figures out how to get there. I end up using other navigation apps. Add a wireless OBD2 sensor for additional vehicle safety information
Suggest adding a wireless Bluetooth OBD2 device (BlueDriver or OBDLink MX+) so Waze can access safety features from your vehicle such as:
1. Blind spot warning
2. Accidental lane departure
3. Show when turn signals are on - for those that forget - optional beep after 5 seconds and before my wife says “YOUR BLINKERS ON!!!”

Notifications - Moving modal and/or providing users with ability to "X" out of notifications
In Apple Carplay, Waze notifications pop up and push the directions modal into a small bar with no information except what kind of turn and how far away it is. It removes the worded directions and has made me miss my turn plenty of times. There is no option to "X" out of the notification, only answer "Still there" or "Not still there", but what if I haven't reached the area yet so I can't accurately answer the prompt but need to see my directions? Record audio while reporting an issue (and convert to text?)
When I'm using "report an issue" functionality in CarPlay/while driving, I cannot type what the issue is about. Later, when I'm asked by some community member what the issue is about, I have to recall what it was about and there were cases that I forgot. The issue categories got narrowed so we can't pick the exact issue while reporting it (I don't understand the removal of speed limit issue - the most common issue I'm reporting!).

Screensaver
In Ontario/Canada as per Highway & Traffic Act, it is illegal to use smartphone/device without hands free operation, and police have stated that submitting status info on apps such as Waze is illegal as per Act and grounds for ticket for not driving “hands free”. Fine for doing so (and using Waze) and distracted driving is currently over $600-800 and 3’demerit points.
Of course I observe police cruisers driving with hands on computer console violating traffic act.
