Store reports created offline for short period. I.E. Police reports and accidents, see comments
I travel a lot in weak cell service areas on major interstates. I will see an accident or Police situation when I have GPS but not network it says sorry you can't report do it later. However it might be 5 or 10 miles down the road before I can then the event isn't in the right location. Suggest storing the location information along with the time so that when network returns it can be posted.

Simplify ability to mark roads as closed
There is a road closure near me which is not currently shown on Waze and Waze therefore keeps trying to route through this closure. I know it is there so why am I not able to simply mark a road as closed anywhere (ie not just when I am on a route)? Otherwise people will keep being routed towards a closure and the last thing they are thinking of when they are having to turn around and go a different way is to inform Waze about the closure. Seems such a simple fix and if you are worried about it…

Option to Ignore Construction Zones
It would be tremendously helpful to have the ability to ignore construction zones/certain stretches of road. And if possible with the option to automatically ignore if speeds are less than a certain threshold.

Sloping / inclined streets
In Latam and some other cities I have known, there are streets with inclines of more than 15° and some vehicles cannot drive up these roads due to several factors.
1) low power vehicles
2) Motorcycles
3) climatic factors that prevent the vehicle to go up this road.
4) vehicles parked on the sides that prevent other vehicles from passing.It would be interesting to make waze as well as avoid freeway roads we can add the inclination and avoid it.

One Touch Reports in Car Play / Android Auto - Customizable
It would be great to have the ability to customize one-touch reports.
See the attached imgur photo.
In this case, I made vehicle on shoulder, police, and object on the road as my "One Touch."
I also added a compass to the navigation bar on the bottom left. (The compass I used is far too busy for Waze.)39 votes -

Whist driving, due to a variety of reasons, it's not always possible to log a hazzard on the road, like a tie-down strap that fell off a truck in front of me today. I thought I could simply report the issue, but I lost my connection and instead pushed on the screen where the tie-down strap was, hoping there was an additional option, so once it was safe to pull over,, I would be able to log it, so as of when I re-established Internet connection, the hazzard would be shared with other waze'ers.

spoken voice warning for hazards
SAFETY!
Every time there is a hazard reported you need to look on the screen to identify what it is.
Please add spoken voice warning so drivers do not need to take their eyes off the road when the warning comes in - sometimes the hazard is moving or flagged too late on the road and you could already "bump" into it...6 votes -
Fast Report Buttons
It takes too many interactions to enter reports like Vehicle On Shoulder. Add buttons on the first report screen to immediately send 3 (or some number) of most common reports like Vehicle On Shoulder, Object In Road. Maybe even make it user configurable.

Dead animal option in hazards
There have been several times where dead animals have been described as "objects". For example, today I saw someone's dog who had died on the road was described as an "object". As someone who is very upsetted by dead animals, I would like there to be an option for "dead animal" so I know not to look. I know there used to be an option for it, but now it seems to be gone.

Traffic Jam Elimination Assistance
It seems that Waze could alert the "Wazers" on a road of a recommended speed to adapt that would help "clear" the jam if it is a phantom incident, and it is just a need to dissipate the "wave". See for instance:

Make speed limit larger on apple carplay
I have read the responses to this issue. It seems to be a bot responding as:
Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already displays a speedometer, including both your driving speed and the speed limit for the road you’re currently on.
That is NOT the issue. Just remove the speedometer and make the speed limit LARGER. Like it appears on Google Maps, which owns Waze.

Can we please have a way to flag roads as traffic calmed?
Waze repeatedly tries to direct me onto roads that have traffic calming humps, which wears out my suspension & throws my tracking out. I'd like for there to be a way to flag up roads as traffic calmed in the map editor and for there to be an option "Avoid traffic calming". People with SUVs can carry on driving over the humps but folks like myself who like a stiffened, lowered suspension would be very thankful to avoid the almost off-road experience these measures create.

Route away from schools at pickup & dropoff time
We've been noticing an increasing amount of Waze traffic near our local elementary school. It is dangerous for the kids who are biking to school (and not yet as reliable as adults) -- we have had three kids hit by cars in our small city so far this year. And I'm sure it is annoying for drivers -- we've seen a lot of folks swerving around slow cars etc.
I would love to be able to tell Waze the pickup and dropoff windows for our school, and have it automatically route away from the school (and ideally nearby streets).

Close the Segment user is currently on
In Rural areas the users may encounter a situation where the road may be closed due to a problem like a downed tree or other issues. In order for Waze to re-route it needs to know that the road is closed and there is no way to report a closure of the current segment that they are on. App only allows reporting of the closure from the nearest intersection in the direction of travel, which will fail to re-route.

Re-enable Other Side Police Reporting
Otherside Police Reporting- This was probably one of the best features of the App- other than the same side regular police notification. It gives a warning for less traveled roads that may have a Waze user traveling in the other direction on a less traveled road whereas a same way traveler has not yet passed and left an Alert. PLEASE BRING THAT FEATURE BACK ASAP!

I like to be welcomed and some states don't have the same seat belt laws or disallow radar detectors. For anything i don't expect a disclaimer would be welcome

Avoid red light cameras
Hi, I would like to suggest that at the section where we choose to avoid unpaved roads, freeways, tols etc, you could include the choice to Avoid Red light Cameras or other permanent road cameras.

Introduce a Waze for trucks and caravans
Increasingly people are relying more and more on navigation. The app provides the quickest and most direct routes which is great for normal circumstances. However, trucks, Lorrie’s, large motor homes are not taken into consideration. I live near a golf course where a small road crosses the fairways and we are seeing more and more large vehicles on a road which is totally unsuitable for them and can often get stuck. There needs to be a version which keeps trucks and towing vehicles on appropriate roadways. There are ‘caravan related sat nav’s such as Co pilot and perhaps Waze…
