In Brazil we have a lot of people that take bus too early to get in their jobs.
In Brazil we have a lot of people that take bus too early to get in their jobs. Sometimes it happens 5am, 6am, to arrive in the office at 7am or 8 am. So a lot of people take the transit time to sleep. The idea is, to keep the waze working, and when you pass by a pre defined point, it vibrates to help you wake up. So it minimize the chance to lost your arrival point, and the users can sleep very calm.

Use acceleration sensors to improve navigation
I think it will be good idea to use acceleration sensors to improve navigation when GPS signal is weak. For example in tunnels. Also it may help in situation when GPS accuracy is insufficient. For example to better determination of position in roundabout.

Geotagged event triggers
Allow the user to define an event such as playing one of your own sounds, display one of your own photos or play a music track at or near specific places. Example uses - get onto a fast stretch of road and your music changes, and changes back when you get into town again. Get a mile from a toll booth and a note appears telling you how much money to have ready. Drive near a grocer and your recording says "don't forget to get the eggs". Go past a tourist attraction and a recording tells you about it. You…

Distance to drive after a turn
After a turn, it'd be nice if the distance before the next turn is said. something like "turn right and go straight for 5 miles"

Expire events option
Give a general or category specific option to delete/expire events. e.g. most crashes/accidents are cleared in 30 minutes or less, yet the event lingers in Waze for 2 hours or more. So let the user chose how old an event will be displayed.

Voice Instructions: Bear Right, Keep Right
Voice navigation instructions use "Keep Right (Left) in 2 conditions making it a bit confusing: When on an undivided road approaching a divided section of the same road, and when approaching an intersection with a gradual right (left) turn. "Bear Right (Left)" would be a more appropriate instruction for the 2d situation.

Have different colors for the road you did from the road you go.
To prevent confusion it will be usefull to have a different color for the road you drove already from the road you're going.

When I start typing an address in the navigate bar, the default should start with a numbers keypad not letters

add prompt to go straight at intersection
at the moment, the default navigation of waze says nothing when you're supposed to go straight through an intersection. this is problematic in cases where after a long straight there are two intersections closely after one another and sometimes it is tough to guess how many '800/400/200metres' actually are, so you end up turning one turn too soon.

Add an ETA based alarm - alerts you when to leave one location to arrive on time at another location
