Car care features implemented in to the Waze
Waze could have same kind of an fuctionality as there are in many car care apps in the market.
-Counting mileages and fuel consumption.
-You could set up odometer reading when u should change oil etc etc and Waze could remind you of that.
-When navigating to a far away destination Waze could warn u if gas should run out before you reach there and suggest gas station en route. For example on iPhone there is app called Gas Cubby that can count mileages and costs for running your car but you have to put in mileage and gas price…

Make https://world.waze.com/livemap/ to show all Wazers that are online.
It would be great to see how many Wazers there really are in your country/city

Google as search engine
Please set google as the default search engine as they have much greater database. That way, we can utilize Waze as our primary map on our iPhones (thanks to Apple map). Thanks :)

Monitize via radio
Waze should look to monetize by partnering with radio stations for up to date traffic reports, get someone to sponsor the report (like they do with today’s helicopter based reports) and split the fee. Would be more profitable for both and save on the carbon footprint of flying multiple helicopters over every city.

It would be great to put toll booths and customs check points on the maps. I have to put 'heavy traffic' every time I go through one. Thanks
Post toll booths and customs check points so I don't have to put 'heavy traffic' every time I go through one.

The dependence of the color bands of the route from traffic jams
When driving on the lane route, the route covers the color strip road on which it runs. It is not clear, red or yellow road. Propose to change the hue (color) of the band route, depending on the color of the road on which it runs.

Integrate Waze for iOS into Google voice search on the Google app
Would it be possible to use Google to search the Waze map database and open a URL to navigate to the destination? Using the same idea as when you click a facebook url, it opens the app and navigates to the relavent page or event etc?

Visualize BEST TIME TO LEAVE for a given destination (red to green). Save time if you know the peaks.
Problem
You know where to go, but want to know what would be the best time to leave to avoid peak traffic.
At the moment you a ETA, which is nice to know but doesn't help you to plan.Idea
You plan a route, get an ETA and a option to choose the best time for leaving. Could be a color coded (green to red) 24h hour-by-hour "forecast" of expected travel time (graph or simple list). This could include current traffic situation for the next few hours, averages for the rest. Also the next 2 hours could be split into…25 votes -
Use BIG red and green arrows to correct turn restrictions right away when you report a map issue.
Problem now:
You report incorrect turn restrictions in your app, someone will find it in the web editor and blind changes them mostly based on fuzzy or even no notes.Idea
You mark a turn restriction map issue in your app. A simplified junction pops up with BIG red and green turn restrictions for your current view/street. You can toggle the arrows by tapping them allowing or disallowing turns.
Press save and forget. The changes will be kept locally in the client in order to avoid being routed the wrong repeatedly until the next map update.2 votes -
Make Wazer clients help with map recalculation. Save on server cost by facilitating the power of each client.
Basic idea: Distribute server tasks like map recalculation to Wazer clients.
Benefit for Wazers
- shorter map update cycles
- the more wazers we are, the faster we get updates
- "better service"
- mooooore points ;-)Benefit for Waze
- save on server costs
- CPU power will increase over time (more Wazers; continuously improving client hardware)Important
Calculation should only commence if
- Wazer agrees to take part
- Waze client is on power
- Client battery is filled to a minimum level (e.g. 80%) - charge your phone first, then help other Wazers :-)

Road hazard on median
Add a "median side of road" in addition to the existent "middle of road" and "side of road" options for hazards.
33 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Semaphore optimization of speed, driving time and fuel economy.
To drive faster and keep fuel try to know the semaphore timing.
In this case can advise drive slower or faster (if possible) to drive non-stop in the semaphore green corridor, when possible.7 votes -

Waze's own chat
I was picking up my little brother yesterday and in the meanwhile i noticed that if i didnt have to switch between whatsapp and waze in order to chat with people not interested in waze, it would be even cooler!
I mean. I may log in so i could contact "a friend" that i know is connected to waze for example, just to chat. The facebook friends list is awful, because .. what? 30% of your list uses waze? and when they wanna chat with you, they dont think of the waze-3.5-facebook chat a a good system, so i have…

Brackground
As all iPhone users know, each time you make a call or use the maps application, and you exit the application to go see something else, the iOS will display on the top of the screen a colored bar showing that the process on the app you exited is still going; and by just touching that part of the screen it will return back to that app to whatever is doing (calling, following a route, etc) this is a helpful suggestion because while driving you want to have your eyes on the road and not on your phone trying to…

Lockscreen Route View
After using the new maps on iOS 6 I could only come up with a little amount of good new features the maps app has. The most helpful one is that the route you are following is displayed on our lock screen, so you can lock your cellphone to avoid people to use your phone while using the gps to get to a please, and also to save some battery. So adding this feature of showing the route on the iPhone would be a great idea, just by the fact that on the road you want to have the information…
58 votesWe plan to work on having a lockscreen route overview on iPhones in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.
