Show and say the next action before the gps signal lost in tunel
I'm living in a country where lot of tunnel on the road. I all the time facing the problem where I have no time to change the lane at the exit of the tunnel, because the signal lost in the tunnel, and when the device lock the signal again there not enough time to take the action.
It would be nice to warn the user "you driving into the tunnel at the tunnel exit keep left" or something similar.

Reward helpful information in Update Requests
When reviewing Update Requests in Waze Map Editor, it is very helpful and satisfying when the user making the report provides enough information that I can identify and fix a problem without asking for additional information. When this happens, as a reviewer of the Update Request, I would like to be able to reward the user for their helpful information. I envision this as some sort of check box when I mark the Update Request as Solved that would drop a road goodie for the reporter. Passenger Assist/Remote Control Feature
I wish passengers could remotely control a driver's Waze app through the Waze app on their own phone.
It would be useful for when it's dangerous for the driver to interact with their phone or the passenger to reach over because the vehicle is on the move. Maybe it could be implemented by requiring both driver and passenger to have been friends on Waze and then comparing whether their spatial vectors are similar to prevent abuse. Stop using the word "Accident" completely.
Crashes are not accidents. The NHTSA has stopped using the word accident in all communications. So have many state highway patrols, and local police. So has the medical profession. Please stop using "accident" on Waze, and instead use crash or collision. Accidents are quite rare, and the word is far to subjective to be using like this.

Be able to show an accident or hazard for the opposite side of the road. Many times, we'll see it on the opposite side.
Many times, we see accidents on the opposite but when we report it, it says our side.

Saving Lives Warning People in Brazil
Hello Waze and Everyone! For the third time I heard a really sad story here in Brazil. First let me tell you: waze made a revolucion in how me and everyone moves around here. But the thing is that in Brazil we have a thing called favelas. Favelas are wood "homes" made by poor people because they dont have anywhere else to live. Voice guidance only sound option
Allow users to disable alert sounds, but keep guidance instructions.
I like voice guidance, especially when waze directs me to do something weird in an unfamiliar area to avoid traffic.
I find all alert notifications extremely annoying, and do not use the app for that purpose. It would be nice to be able to disable the annoying sounds and keep the useful ones turned on.

Roadside assistance
Add an option for drivers to report they need roadside assistance and drivers on route will get a notification on the matter.
The assistance could be anything from help changing a tire or the need of jumper cables etc... I also think that a good incentive is to give waze points to drivers who stop and help...
Really think this is an easy to do update that will help people in need (the whole point of waze is a social navigation app...)13 votes -
Problem pushing directions bluetooth from android to car speakers
Waze has been my fav for a long time because it pushed spoken directions from all my iPhones to the car speakers via bluetooth. It seemed to do this by tricking my radio (Kenwood) into thinking a call was coming through. Pretty crafty. But since the latest iPhone update that messed up other things regarding bluetooth, Ive gotten an android phone. Now the waze app on android won't push spoken directions to the car speakers when the radio is set on (radio). It seems like a big safety issue since when in the car its hard to hear the little…

Remove social networking features
Not sure whey Waze felt it necessary to add all of the social networking features (I'm speaking of facebook and twitter here, not the shared information about traffic speeds and road hazards). I am not a big fan of facebook and don't care to share information that way. Waze used to be a great navigation app. I urge you to return to your home base. Leave facebook to facebook.

Navigation: option to avoid cobblestone, brick streets. This would be very appreciated by car drivers, motorcyclists. Android user.
I hate it when I get navigated down a cobblestone or brick street. You have to crawl along so your teeth don't fall out. I'd rather take a longer route than drive over these streets here in Seattle.

Use accelerometer to detect and report on bumpy roads, and offer option to route around them
Use the device's accelerometer to detect bumpiness in the road the user is currently driving on. Send this data to Waze, then use collective data on road bumpiness to offer a routing option so that users can favor driving on smoother roads. Possibly also tie into the existing systems to report/show potholes or road hazards.

High contrast day & night
I like the night-time, high contrast colors. None of the daytime color settings have enough contrast. How about a "forever night" setting, or a daytime super-high-contrast option?

Disable face proximity sensor.
The face proximity sensor is enabled. Since I place my iPhone in the console of my vehicle, every time I move my hand down to perform an action, the display goes black. I have to gingerly reposition my hand before I can do anything.
I suggest disabling the face proximity sensor while in an operational mode. If necessary, you can enable it right before going to a phone call (if not speakerphone).

Many UserVoice entries are pre-Client v3 and WME. Close and update current entries to reflect the current offerings.

My Rank and the scoreboard
I'm bummed that you only show the top 50 wazers on the scoreboard. I'm ranked 299 (kinkstone) currently and I want to see the spread of points above and below me.
Please add a pair of options at the top of the list (where you show all v. state and all times v. weekly) where I can choose between "top" or "around me". When showing the scoreboard around me, show the 50 wazers with me centered in the list.
That way I can see the movement and score distribution of people like me.
