1. Reliability

   I have found that Waze is the most unstable of the three major navigation platforms, which include Apple and Google Maps. It routinely has trouble figuring out where one is starting from which causes the map to freeze while the navigation continues. It also consistently either stops working (loses the route, or begins to submit random, rapidfire directions which are all incorrect). This seems to mostly happen in urban settings. While trying to get our dog to cancer treatment in Boston, your navigator went off the rails, forcing me to pull over in traffic and go to another option to get there on time. Some of your features are unique and helpful, but you really need to work on reliability, which is pretty awful.

2. Trip planning option removed from "Go to destination" window.

   PLEASE bring back the "trip planning option" ("drive at xx arrive at xx") to the main GO TO DESTINATION window !!!
   The previous version was better because this option is very useful and important when going to a destination. Searching for it in the main menu is a waste of time...and because we don't always plan a destination.

   Sometimes, when I want to go to a destination and I don't need to go now, I look for it and I watch the trafic jam. If I need to wait a few minutes/hours, I plan the route.

4. Notifications - Moving modal and/or providing users with ability to "X" out of notifications

   In Apple Carplay, Waze notifications pop up and push the directions modal into a small bar with no information except what kind of turn and how far away it is. It removes the worded directions and has made me miss my turn plenty of times. There is no option to "X" out of the notification, only answer "Still there" or "Not still there", but what if I haven't reached the area yet so I can't accurately answer the prompt but need to see my directions? As someone who drives with the sound off in Waze, I'm requesting to provide users with an "X" in the top right of notifications modals and to either move the notifications modal or make it smaller so I can read the directions.

5. Fix calendar sync on iPhone!!

   Calendar sync used to work on my iPhone but now it's gone. I rely on this for my job which is made up of driving to many daily appointments. All my upcoming jobs were nicely listed on my main screen, then that vanished so I went to "planned drives" to find them, and now nothing is there except a screen telling me to sync my calendar but it's already switched on with all my calendars selected! Now I have to go to my calendar, click the appointment, tap the address, tap "open in Waze", click the correct location, then "find routes", and finally "go now." What used to be two taps is now like 10. PLEASE fix this! It's literally the only reason I use Waze over Apple Maps.

6. Redesign alerts from ground up

   In addition to being able to modify exactly which alerts users want to hear (only police for example — who cares about vehicles on shoulder?), you need to remove the alarmist and jarring “watch out” before alerts. Users should have options of different tones they can select for various alerts so that no voice alerts are necessary, just tones if preferred. So either [ding] “police” or simply [ding]. Also it’s time to change that terrible 90s computer voice to something better.

   Hard to believe this app is owned and managed by one of the most powerful and wealthy companies in the world, it looks and sounds like something someone made in their garage.

   i wish i could say "hey google, report dangerous driver" and waze would notify users 1-3 miles ahead so they can start watching their rearview mirrors.

9. I have several ideas

   First I have been through 2 permanent speed cameras Waze did not warn me about. Although it might say turn in 300 metres, I have no conception of distance and if a few streets are close I don’t know which one and It needs to tell you to turn here about 2 secs earlier then it does I miss streets and need to be in other lanes to turn esp. in the city where there are lots of one way streets and turn only lanes. I’m on iPhone and I hate that it turns off Siri google DOES NOT work on iPhone. It needs to let Apple use Siri. It tells me I’m at the location houses away. It needs to tell you which side of the road it’s on and the number..”you have arrived at 6 bob st, you’re destination is on the left.” Or something when you get there.. I like that it reminds me a few times where I’m going and unlike G maps knows what my turnoff is called.its also louder so I can actually hear it, but I’m not sure it takes traffic into account and reroute around the worst of it.. it will put me in standstill traffic on s highway instead of taking back streets. I can’t plot several locations and decide myself what order to take I have to plot my route in the other app and put it in one by one but the only way I can use this app is if I also run the other app behind it so I have them both talking... to be honest both together are almost perfect but separately they both have issues... you need to be able to report permanent cameras and police etc via voice which may be possible on a google friendly phone, I’m not sure because I will get fined for touching my phone to report things... I don’t like that others can see my speed if I use that part of the app so I can watch my speed. Can authorities access that info ever??? Because I do speed sometimes and I don’t want others seeing or recording my speed...

10. Add "Disabled Vehicle" to Windows Phone version

    I have an Android phone at work, and a Windows Phone at home. I use Waze on both as a single user. I was navigating home on Sunday when I watched a vehicle become disabled next to me at a traffic light. Being the good Wazer that I am, I immediately opened my Waze app and pressed on the "REPORT" icon. On my work (Android) phone under "HAZARD", there is an option to identify "Vehicle Stopped". On my Home (Windows) phone version, that option is completing missing. How did this get left off???? Could someone at Waze add it as one of the options to pick under "HAZARD"?

    Also, one other beef. The NAVIGATE and REPORT icons are reversed on Android and Windows versions. As a result, I'm constantly picking the wrong icon. Any way to put them in the same screen position on each version? NAVIGATE left, HAZARD right.

    Thank you for your suggestion! As you may already know, Waze is no longer supported on any Windows Phone device and is not planned to be supported in the near future.

11. Caravan Mode / Follow Me Mode

    I've been thinking in a new mode for Wazers... I've been driving with family along the road in different vehicles, not once we've been able to keep the same speed or pace and we end loosing sight of where the vehicles are. In Mexico safety its a very important matter, and everytime we are not able to see where the other cars that are driving with us we call them or text them to see if everything is fine. I imagine a Caravan Mode in which multiple Waze accounts are linked for a trip and you can watch the vehicles listed in the CarPlay in a vertical sideway explaining things such as: amount of vehicles in the caravan, distance between one and another, if the vehicle is moving or stopped. Every vehicle will be able to post some special status, such as: Stop we are OK, Back on driving, SOS, etc... if we have this status next to the regular Waze display we will assure calm on everyone because we all will have visibility on where are the remaining vehicles and the distances between the next one. If the caravan is loosing the last vehicle someone can reduce the speed to accompany the last car. Everything to make it happen its already in control of Waze, speed, location, etc. It will make driving so much safe and with more detail on the other vehicles on the journey

12. Car Play Addition

    Greetings,
    I’ve been using the Waze App on my phone for years. I recently started using Waze through Apple Car Play in my new vehicle.
    While I’m enjoying it, I am missing one feature that is on my phone app.
    That feature is being able to see the “turn by turn” directions.
    All I’m able to see on the Car Play version is the next turn.
    I’ve become used to being able to look ahead and see where Waze is sending me.
    While I can pull out my phone a see the “turn by turn” directions, that defeats the safety of Car Play and takes my eyes and hands away from where they should be.
    I truly hope you are considering adding this feature in the future.

    scenario,
    you are driving to work every day, so you obviously don't need a navigation app open to show you the way, but you also want to be aware of police cars.

    I was going to work one time and as soon as I plugged my phone into my car, google maps gave me a notification something like "work is 15 mins drive" which means it knows roughly when I leave for work and it is sure its work cause its the same time always.

    so idea is, even when the user isn't using the app, Waze or google knows they are going to work, Waze should watch out if there are any police cars on the way and alert the user.

14. Please give back functionality to have Map when connected to Android Auto

    Google who owns Android Auto and Waze should allow the user to decide preference for map or directions when connected to Android Auto. Given many factors one or the other could be a lot safer so the new way of forced directions is Not for safety. Need to place a setting to choice or give back functionality. The workaround of reverting back to previous version and Never updated an app is ridiculous cause could miss out on many good features introduced. Come on Google don't be like Apple and dictate what we can do... That is anti Android.

    Plus it does not make sense cause not like y'all are migrating to Waze and gonna abandon Google Maps. Heck I love to have Google maps on my console and Waze map on my phone. Perfect and safest thing for me and I am sure a lot others.

    OK off soap box. Just stop trying to over think for people that is Apples job for their customer base. Android is for tech minded, tweakers, modders and the like. Free love is the way of Android.... LOL please please please

17. Connecting collaborating WAZE with Emergency WA App - Perth Western Australia

    Department of Fire and Emergency in Western Australia (Australia) have just launched their Emergency WA app which provides information relating to incidents, hazards or emergencies. This includes alerts ranging from advice through to Emergency Warning for fire, flood, hazards which could require community to take certain steps. Emergency WA places a geo-fence for the affected area. Could WAZE consider connecting/collaborating with EMERGENCY WA App to enable users of WAZE to be informed during their travel, they are about to enter into an area so they could be better informed whether to proceed or take an alternative route or reconsider need to travel into that area in the first instance.

19. Waze CarPlay glitch

    When navigating in the background on Waze via Apple CarPlay, and trying to change music on Spotify in CarPlay, if I approach a turn, Waze starts popping up prompting me to return to Waze and see the map. However, when it's a simple instruction like "turn right ahead," I will try to minimize the navigation without viewing the map so I can continue selecting music. But the pop up WILL NOT STOP until I click it and go back to Waze to see the map - there is literally no way to ignore the navigational pop ups when trying to do something else like pick a song, make a phone call, send a text, etc.

    Makes me extremely frustrated and seems like a programming issue. If I've read the instructions and am making the turn etc, I should be able to just click the "back" button to send the pop up away and resume what I was doing

20. Need A View Shared Drive Option While Using CarPlay

    The green-ish “View Shared Drive” button that normally appears on the right side of the screen does not appear while connected to Apple CarPlay. Currently, the only way to view a drive that has been shared with you is to disconnect from CarPlay, which is very frustrating. I am on a road trip with family in which we are driving two separate vehicles, and it would be very useful to be able to view a shared drive on my CarPlay screen to see where the rest of the family is and what their ETA is.

    And while we’re at it, can we bring back the old “trip progress meter” that showed your progress and ETA versus a friend’s if you were both navigating to the same location and shared the drive with each other? That was one of the coolest and best Waze features of all time, so I’m not sure why it was taken away.
