Please let users add road humps and potholes.
Road humps and potholes can be dangerous as they may cause accidents or damage to vehicles. They are not often visible especially during rain or at night.

A camera in a public transport lane
In Israel there are lanes designated only for public transportation, but a vehicle with 3+ or 2+ passengers is allowed to travel in the lane according to the signage.
They recently installed cameras that automatically count the number of passengers in the vehicle, and I did not find an option to notify the location of this camera.
Please add the option to notify you of the location of the camera to inform the other passengers.
Thanks for everything and have a nice day.2 votes -
Add Support for Mopeds, Bicycles & Moped Speed Checks (Known as Rollerbanks)
I suggest adding support for mopeds and bicycles as selectable vehicle types in Waze, allowing users to receive more accurate routes tailored to bike lanes and moped-accessible roads. Additionally, introducing a report option for roadside speed checks specific to mopeds (commonly known as "rollerbanks" in some regions) would greatly benefit two-wheeler users by improving route awareness and promoting fair, transparent traffic monitoring.

Introduce a new routing option for CO2 reduction
Provide a new navigation option that reduces the CO2 emissions in a typical combustion engine vehicle. Possibly balancing speed vs. distance this can be optimized.
Imagine the impact on the environment if millions of vehicles used this navigation option!2 votes -
In gated communities don't take me to the front gate when I live near the back gate
It is a waste of time and gas to take me to the front gate of a large housing complex when I live near the back gate.

The shortest route in terms of time should take account of a reduced speed compared with the maximum speed
My employer wants me to drive with a reduced speed below the speed limits :
- 110 km/h on roads limited to 130 km/h
- 100 km/h on roads limited to 110 km/h.
I can't set those maximum speeds into the Waze settings.
The path with the shortest time depends on the maximal speed a vehicle has on each type of road.4 votes -

Max speed trip estimate
I drive an road e-bike, which has a max speed of 32kmh due to legal restrictions in Ontario. It would be great if we could specify a max vehicle speed and Waze could take that into account when estimating how long it will take to arrive at a destination.

When a warning appears, show a shrinking progress bar (regress bar, closing-in bar?)
When a warning appears (hazard, police, vehicle on shoulder, traffic), show a shrinking progress bar (regress bar, closing in bar?), perhaps with distance number also. The current tiny numbers are hard to read, require too much attention, and give no feel for the approach rate. Waze assumes perfect close and medium vision too often. If there are several: unclear, but I suppose focus on nearest.

Big truck on side of the road.
Hello, would you consider: an option for "Big Truck" stopped on the shoulder? As someone who drives a commercial motor vehicle over a 130,000 miles a year, I can tell you that the majority of cars on the shoulder are abandoned whereas the majority of big trucks on the shoulder are broken down and or getting service at the time and there's usually a human being somewhere walking in and out of the highway at the truck is being repaired. With a little bit of notice, people will typically move over one lane to the left to allow room for…

Driving with speed limitation, caravans for example.
Dear Waze Team,
First of all, thank you for an outstanding app that continues to improve travel experiences worldwide. I’d like to suggest a feature that would greatly benefit drivers who tow caravans or trailers – or who, for any reason, are legally required to drive at lower speeds than regular traffic.
Currently, Waze assumes standard vehicle behavior and speed limits. However, in many countries (such as across Europe), towing a trailer legally restricts drivers to lower speeds – often 80 km/h on highways, regardless of the posted limit. This discrepancy affects both estimated time of arrival (ETA) and route…

Mirror link support!
Most newer vehicles are coming from the factory with mirrorlink, support for mirrorlink would alow me to use waze with my factory touch screen. Much like the pioneer support. Having this as I'm sure for others would allow us to use waze all the time!

Other Side Reporting
You used to have "Other Side of Road" for reporting. It was AWESOME and I used to report vehicles on the other side on the shoulder, and appreciated getting the notification about that. It's only available with the Police now; please bring that back. Why did you take it away?
612 votesThank you for your suggestion!
This suggestion will not be implemented for the time being. Adding more and more options to reporting, especially for less popular types of reports such as other side which will also require another window/card, is not something we are aiming for at the moment. Please be aware that other side reporting is already available by voice using the Google Assistant! We believe investing in voice can create essentially a better and more scalable experience and we hope to bring it to more languages soon.

Ability to select the types of hazards to enable/disable
Sometimes, certain hazards are not very helpful and are more of a distraction than anything. For example, vehicles stopped on the shoulder, weather, and missing sign are not very important and I dismiss them every time I see it. At times I feel like disabling hazards altogether.
641 votesGreat news! The ability to disable individual alert notifications is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

Dear Waze Team,
I would like to suggest an important improvement to the app: adding a button at the beginning of each drive to select the type of vehicle – such as private car, truck, commercial vehicle, bus, etc.
As a truck driver, I often get directed to roads that are not suitable for heavy vehicles – including narrow streets, bridges with height restrictions, or roads where commercial vehicles are prohibited. These situations cause delays, frustration, and sometimes even safety hazards.
I believe this feature would greatly enhance the user experience and allow for more personalized and…

Motorcycle
When selecting Motorcycle as vehicle type would it be possible to disable the on screen user interactive prompts/warnings for pot holes/vehicle on shoulder etc as responding to these is not a safe and viable option. just an audio warning would be sufficient with no response required from the rider

App starts in dashboard menu
It would be useful if the app, once opened, went to a dashboard or menu which allows selection of one of many options. Currently it opens right to the map and suggests where I might be going based on previous habits. I would rather have that option available along with other options such as a general search, favorites, home, work, gas, etc. This could easily be done with 6 or so large icons to keep the screen clean. This would also avoid the need to multiple selection when going somewhere other than the defaul that's pops up on the screen.
