Select safer way by following someone if alternative route is similar time
Safely travel means to follow others. Like on festivals inside crowds ==> people tend to walk together = crowd pulls you. Basically we should drive in circles. While road has dashed line, we better don't want to meet many cars in opposite direction. This can avoid mamy accidents by front crash. Similar road arrangement can be seen ie. also on some festivals so it is not just a dream!! I prefer to come 10min late than never [+]. Waze should offer this always (on dashed line roads).

Add way indicate if there are 2+ people in the car
If you can indicate that people are in the car with you Waze can advise you on route where you can take the HOV lanes
1 voteThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

Good day, I am a user based in Malaysia. I have been using Waze as my primary navigation tool for many years and truly appreciate the innovation and convenience it provides. However, after years of usage, I have noticed a main feature where improvements could be made.

Float the speedometer and report button above the next-turn instructions
If the next turn instructions are sufficiently long (e.g. "Exit 116B: US-165 BUS / LA-15 / to Civic Center / Jackson St"), the speedometer and report button will overlap the instructions, making it impossible to see the most important text, "Exit 116B". These elements should float up to avoid covering turn instructions.

Save the route for the way back from a location and also to use it other time
Possibility to save the route for the way back home from a location or to use it again other time. Many times waze guides you back on a longer/country lanes route.

Bus lane - options to enable them and present them on the map
I have EV and I have enabled EV mode. In my country, EV can drive on bus lane.
I was expecting that Waze would take that into consideration and it is : yesterday, when I set up the destination, Waze told/asked me that "The route might contains directions on bus lane". I had the checkbox to hide the prompt in the future (which I marked) and button like ok/dismiss (I don't remember). Combination Red Light & Speed Camera
In my area there are now red light cameras that are also speed cameras. Why is this relevant? Because if the light is STALE (green for a long period and may be turning yellow/red soon at some point) I and other drivers who are aware that the light may be turning red may speed up to avoid the possibility of a receiving a red light ticket. Improvement to avoiding difficult intersections
I use the "Avoid Difficult Intersections" in the app but am still often taken to very busy main roads to turn right without traffic lights. I drive every day doing rideshare work & this is a constant issue for me.

you need to add a map button on the map to enable or disable freeway routing. often, a freeway will not be my best route, this would help
an onscreen button is needed to change from freeways to avoid freeways. Often, I would like to change enroute from freeway to surface roads and it takes many steps to do so. one button to change on or off onscreen would be a big help

Remove excess map details when entering/ exiting busy highway intersections with many entry points or circular roads that adds confusiont
For example:
1) I don't need to know the lanes that not in my direction of travel/ against my flow
2) If it's a lane that is parallel to me but something that I can't get into and no need to knowAt busy intersection with 4-5 exit ramps and inter-looping lanes from different directions, there can be information overload and confuses the driver on which is the right exit/ entry lane to use.
Put these not-useful-to-me/ distracting information into a very lightened colour or remove them totally?

Switzerland
Hi, it would be helpul to implement a Switzerland specific option, because, there, motorways are paid by a yearly "vignette". And people driving only a few km per year on these motorways, for instance to go to Geneva airport from France, may be interested by an option "Avoid Switzerland motorways (vignette)". Indeed the already existing options "avoid motorways" and "avoid paying roads" are too drastic for a journey in other countries, too. Moto mode
Dear Sir:
In Taiwan, we mostly using motocycle, maybe 60~70% I guess.
If it can have Moto mode I'll be very grateful.
But if it have difficult in technology, Hope it can have blacklist in rode name, That we can To avoid high way and some rode or street that no motorcycle allowed in road zone or something like that

lane change
In the map display, there are no lane change indicators like those white bold arrows when turning left, right or U-turn. Those are important to have an early indicator that you are about to lane change on a certain location in the map. This will also help in the use of the lane guidance to know which part of the map should we use the guidance.

Route Alerts
The shortened route alert should have user specified times. I do not care about saving 3 minutes on a 6 hour drive. There should also be a limited number of times Waze asks for this route. My last trip I ended up just letting Waze reroute me onto a toll road costing money because it wouldn't shut up about the 10 minutes I would save on my 3 hour trip.

Block a turn only to myself.
A single segment makes my daily travel to work and son therapy only 1-2 minutes shorter, but through a neighborhood I avoid because it's full of turns and bad pavement. I wish I could make that single turn red on the WME but only for me so Waze can route me to any other route it sees better for me.
