DRIVER SPEED LIMITATION INPUT FOR ITINERARY CALCULATIONS
I think it would be a more than good idea to have the option of telling WAZE that one doesn't want to drive faster than 90km/h.
For instance, i drive a camping car, which hardly reaches 100km/h and would like Waze to calculate itineraries taking this into account. Can that be fastly implemented ?29 votes -
Realistic Detailed Vehicles
Waze has been around long enough now, how about realistic & more detailed vehicles, instead of the green car, silver car, blah, blah, blah. Why isn't there a pickup truck, Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro, Dodge, Toyota, etc? Realistic & detailed vehicles please!

Crossing major intersections
Los Angeles - When crossing major streets such as Sunset Blvd, Wilshire Blvd or La Cienega Blvd, please guide us to an intersection protected by a traffic signal. While the smaller streets are great for avoiding traffic, once we reach a major thoroughfare, we simply can't get across without a green light! Thanks, Waze!

Add quick text to road reports
Typing while driving is dangerous. However, don't you often want to add more information to a road report? Do you go ahead and type that message illegally or do you simply submit something that you know is an incomplete, ambiguous report. What if you had the option to choose from a list of common stock text modifiers to help with your reporting? What if it was possible to edit these to your specifications?

Allow reporting of New Incidents while an Alert is active (Android Auto)
When using Waze on Android Auto, if an active alert (e.g., speed camera, crash, lane closure) is currently displayed on the screen, the button to report a new incident becomes inaccessible or disappears.
To submit a new report, the driver is currently forced to first accept or close the existing alert. This is highly impractical and potentially unsafe while driving. This limitation prevents users from easily reporting multiple, co-located events (like a lane closure and a crash) in densely populated areas where multiple things often happen near each other.
I suggest that the Report Button should remain visible and accessible on the Android Auto interface, even when another alert or warning is being displayed.
This would allow drivers to immediately report the event they see without needing to interact with the current alert first. The Waze platform can later handle the filtering or merging of similar reports to prevent duplication.

Add option allowing your URs to be posted under your username (not anonymoulsy)
It has been said numerous time that due to private data protections, URs are always posted anonymously.
However, many editors use the UR system as a mean to "take notes" of problems during a trip, and then will correct deal with those UR when on WME after the trip.
However, those URs are always marked as anonymous on WME and other editors often start to reply those UR not knowing that those were done by other fellow editors. This leads to a lost of time, since those UR should be considered as "already watched by another editor".
The proposition is therefore to give the app user the option (which by default is not activated) to post UR un-anonymously, which will make the UR to appear in WME under its own username, and therefore help other editors to know that this UR comes from another editor.
This option will not go against private protection as it would only be activated by the user himself, if he wants to.

Re-enable Other Side Police Reporting
Otherside Police Reporting- This was probably one of the best features of the App- other than the same side regular police notification. It gives a warning for less traveled roads that may have a Waze user traveling in the other direction on a less traveled road whereas a same way traveler has not yet passed and left an Alert. PLEASE BRING THAT FEATURE BACK ASAP!

Mandalorian
Please, please, please let's have a Mandalorian voice on Waze, saying "this is the way" or "follow the way", with occasional gurgles from Grogu (baby Yoda). You know it makes sense...

Upcoming Speed limit
It would be great if Waze could give a(n optional) warning if a speed limit comes up (similar to construction area warning). This enables the driver to lower the speed before - instead of brake down the speed when the limited zone begins.
This would be very helpful especially on German motorways, which haven’t a general limit and where you have to brake hard e.g. before construction areas.28 votes -

Police speed trap trends
Instead of only showing current police speed traps, have a toggle options for where police tend to sit and wait. "police hot zone" kind of idea. "police have been reported at this time for the last three days" kind of warning. This will not only help avoid tickets, but get people to slow down in the more "dangerous" areas

I think having a weather radar and/or show weather warnings would be helpful.
I think having a weather radar and/or show weather warnings would be helpful. Many times I have been driving and hear on the radio about storms or heavy rain and if I could see these on the map it would give me the ability to either exit the highway or detour around it.

Place Updates and Approvals with Chat
We chat with users that send URs.
It will be helpful to chat to users that add places or update places with info and or pictures.
I have found myself having to make a judgement call on accepting or rejecting places based on information that is unclear.
It would be nice if we could ask for clarification.29 votesAdminElla (Waze Team) (Admin, Waze) responded

Hazard alert confirm/deny
Keep the hazard alert thumbs up or down option on screen just a bit longer (don't start it so early if you want to keep the length of time posted the same). Right now, the option disappears about a tenth of a mile before I can confirm or deny the alert. At least keep it up until we pass the site of the hazard.

Please stop routing onto bike routes
I live in an area of the country with a lot of bike routes. Those routes are established on the assumption that they are low in auto traffic, or least generally local-only traffic. That seems to prompt Waze to guide me onto them fairly frequently during heavy traffic times, but in doing so this violates that basic assumption of keeping them low traffic.
As someone who bikes and drives regularly, I'd rather not see those routes grow in auto traffic as Waze adoption increases. If possible, please stop routing auto traffic onto those routes so that they can remain safe for folks on their bikes, it would greatly appreciated!

Get "groups" back!
Groups were perfect for the motorcycle club, scooter club etc to keep track of the participants in a rally or other events.
