1. "Drinking Water Protection Zone" sign locations in Ontario, Canada

   There are over 800 "Drinking Water Protection Zone" signs in Ontario that mark vulnerable areas for municipal drinking water systems. These signs are an important part of the Source Protection Program that resulted from the recommendations after the Walkerton Water Tragedy. These signs are all geo-referenced and could be added to Waze maps. It would help raise the awareness of the program.

2. Request to Ban User "Ms-Royalty" for Repeatedly Submitting Inaccurate Gas Prices for Points

   I’ve observed a recurring issue throughout the Jacksonville, Florida area involving the reporting of gas prices. It is common for users to update only one octane level—often incorrectly—seemingly for the sole purpose of earning points. One user in particular, “Ms-Royalty,” frequently updates just a single gas price, typically for regular (87 octane), with entries like “3.050,” which are often inaccurate.

   This behavior undermines the purpose of the platform, which is intended to provide accurate, up-to-date information for the benefit of all users. It appears this activity has been ongoing for at least a year, if not longer.

   I recommend that this user—and others who follow similar patterns—be restricted from submitting gas prices unless they are willing to provide complete and accurate updates.

3. Been using Waze for a few years now & was reviewing the comments & was a little surprised!!

   This past Thursday (Thanksgiving day) we were traveling North from San Diego to the Newport Beach area when I was given a reroute, and a friend of mine was following and he wasn't using Waze (but Google Maps) but he followed me and later thanked me because the traffic had stopped completely and he saw the bad accident & delay. We were able to save ourselves a good 20 minutes by going around the accident that was on the freeway. Of course it was very helpful as we were running behind schedule anyway so this was a good experience for my friend who now said he will start using Waze himself as he experienced using his Alternate maps, but was not aware of the reroute.. great job Waze ! Keep it up ! 👍

4. Limiting typing while "driving" does more harm

   Voice only while driving limitation is only making the driving much more distracting and dangerous in certain non-english areas such as Bulgaria for example. Where the voice commands are not working properly. I want for my passenger to be able to type in an address while I am driving, so I won't be distracted by battling with the voice commands and constantly checking what was actually found by them and if it's the correct place. Also why is that even when I pull over and completely stopped I still can't type in. My car is not moving... It's really a struggle to use Waze that way.

5. Using Waze app in areas other than major highways!

   We are in Waterford Michigan and we love to use the Waze app when we go up north to our cottage and also to Canada to see our family. I see everybody using Waze on major highways and thorough fairs, but as soon as you get off the highway on two lane asphalt roads with police hiding, no one seems to be using their Waze app! You might wanna consider contacting some users and encouraging the group to use Waze on these roads, because a ticket is a ticket! When we get off the highway and have to drive another hour, or through these types of roads, we hardly see any people using Waze, so it loses its effectiveness… If everyone would ban together and keep using Waze on these off highway roads, we would all benefit!

   Make a feature for road rage mode. If I go to ‘Road rage mode’, the app adds in lead time on planned drives (extra 5 minutes for 10 miles or less, 10 minutes for 11-30 miles, etc..)
   -Maybe avoids heavy traffic areas even if drive is longer.
   -If user shows erratic increase in speed, excessive speeding, swerving, etc.. Have voiceover give safe driving or anger management techniques to lower road rage.
   -Give safe driving or anger management tips periodically on drive.

   I have road rage and millions of other drivers do as well. I think this feature could help alot of users like me to combat this potnentially dangerous issue.

8. Waze "Local Knowledge" feature

   Waze should have a feature called "Local Knowledge". Since most routes start at the same place, home, the user wouldn't need to know/HEAR all the individual turns to get out of their own neighborhood every time. The user should be able to set up a radius around a point where they have familiarity of different increments say, 1mile, 2miles, 5 miles, where only the visual route is shown on the screen and the audio is MUTED. Then once the user is outside of the predefined radius, the audio starts again. There should also be the ability to set up multiple "Local Knowledge" areas, say, Home, Work, your Parents house, etc. with their own radius.. It frequently gets very aggravating hearing all the same turns in my neighborhood just going in the same direction every time I use the app.

9. There is a problem with the application on the Android system for car screens

   The problem is that the search option covers part of the display and the area containing the map is unacceptable, so that the left half is useless while the right half only contains the car and navigation. The search should be minimized and the driving should be placed in the middle and not only in half of the screen

   The second problem is that the zoom system is not practical. When I accelerate to a speed of 80 km or more, the automatic zoom is very, very far away, so that you can discover the whole city, but you will not be able to see the road correctly.

   I hope that the application on the Android system for car screens will be given sufficient consideration, as the application has some errors that must be fixed.

10. Adjust routes

    Hi Waze team,

    I’m a long-time Wazer (5+ years), and I truly appreciate the app. However, I’d like to share some frustrating limitations:

    1. Add the ability to manually edit a route with multiple intermediate stops

    Waze usually finds good routes, but sometimes I want to manually adjust it — set 2–3 waypoints, fix the path myself, and avoid places I don’t want to pass. Right now, it’s not possible to fully customize a route this way.

    1. Allow starting a route from a different location (not current GPS location)

    In Ukraine, GPS can be unreliable or blocked in certain areas. Sometimes I just want to plan a route starting from another location (for a friend, or for later travel). Currently, this isn’t possible in Waze, unless GPS is active and working.

    Please consider adding these features — they would make Waze much more flexible and powerful, especially for experienced users.

11. finding parking

    Waze should have a parking spot finder option in hotspot areas. For example: NYC. Users with the app already have GPS enabled, a feature can be added to anonymously show when a car moved out of a spot or spots that have been selected as available to make parking easier in populated areas.

13. Misleading Parking Suggestion

    Dear Waze Team,

    I would like to file a complaint regarding an extremely misleading parking suggestion made by your app.

    On July 31st, I was using Waze to navigate to the Atomium in Brussels. The app directed me to an open parking area near the Trade Mart building. I followed the recommendation, unaware that this parking lot charges a flat rate of €10 — even if you stay for just 30 minutes, as I did.

    There was no price indication or warning in the app, and had I been informed, I would have easily chosen a cheaper alternative nearby. I find it unacceptable that Waze would guide users to such an expensive parking spot without any cost transparency.

    I kindly request that Waze take steps to prevent this kind of misleading suggestion in the future and provide users with better parking information — especially when it involves excessive fees.

14. Possible warning for overhead obstruction in areas with low hanging trees?

    In the south where there are many oak lined roads, branches overhang the roadways. When trucks come through, it is often that their loads catch these limbs, especially after a rain.

15. Verbal “Animal Alert” & Animal Icon replaced in app

    Requesting update to app: 50 mile commute to & from work. High potential for animal / wildlife encounters & add a loss of connection for approx 5 miles during the trip. Would like an “Animal” icon to be placed back into the app & a verbal “Animal Alert” be announced the same way that construction, crashes, hazards & police, do so now. Not everybody lives and / or works in the city & those are two different types of driving styles for a commute. It would be nice to be alerted ahead of time, if I’m entering an area of animals or wildlife in / on the actual roadways or roadsides … as opposed to off in the distance of a field or hilltop, etc. BTW, if it makes any difference, I had an encounter with a HUGE bull-elk that completely totaled my car & **** near killed me with it during that same commute! Thx in advance for your assistance & consideration.

16. When Searching for "FUEL", add [Nearest] or [Along Route] selector/modifier.

    Not only is this needed, but it also needs good UX to make what's happening clear.

    In the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of situations, I want the CLOSEST gas station AHEAD (or on my current) route. It could be something as easy as a modal popup that says [BUTTON] in brackets:

    [Shortest Distance] or [Nearest Ahead]

    Where [Shortest] = "oh my .... I'm on fumes and need fuel NOW"
    And
    [Nearest Ahead] just does a quick check of your current route, a little balancing to find the shortest route with a 10-minute "lookahead" and presents the user with a list that INCLUDES:

    [Along Route]
    "Time (DIST) to (GAS STATION) adds (X DIST)"
    Being able to SORT by the (X DIST), which would be the "miles added by deviation" then allows me to see the shortest add miles and how long".

    When I'm on local roads, it doesn't matter as much. But, when I'm on a trip in unfamiliar areas, I usually want an upcoming fuel location that adds the least "exit .... back on" time or distance. I'm fine with driving 20 minutes if it's an addition of 2 miles, but want to avoid closer options that add 5 miles as long as it's not dire.

17. Allow users to type in names of their favorite retailers, restaurants, gas stations, and more

    I would like Waze to notify me of my favorite retailers, gas stations, restaurants and other things along my drive regardless of where I am driving and without me having to search for them and add them as a favorite. If I could have an area in the app where I could type my favorite places in once and then Waze is always searching and notifying me of them as I drive this would be a huge convenience. Example: I choose Chick-fil-A as a restaurant, then whenever I am driving ways notifies me of all Chick-fil-A's within 5 miles of my current location or my route. Another Example: I choose Publix grocery store as a favorite place, then Waze notifies me of any Publix within 5 or 10 miles of my current location or along my current route. 18. Automatically remove pop up boxes under certain conditions

    Please program an if/then response to automatically remove (without interaction) floating boxes when a road or lane change is required.

    Please make floating boxes automatically disappear within .1 miles of an intersection requiring a turn.

    They block the most important info that is needed, the actual map and road view.

    A priority rule should be programmed in the app.

    On highly congested roadways and unfamiliar highway interchanges, it is completely unsafe to read or click "still there" when that text box is covering all of the important lane information needed to get on or off in the correct lane of an unfamiliar highway interchange during rush hour. Stop and go traffic, multiple lanes, confusing maps, over crowded screen noise is unsafe under certain conditions.

    I highly suggest making a clean and crisp image of the roads and intersections the ONLY visible things on the screen within .1 miles of the turn or transition (.2 miles would be better).

    Top left is names of roads and distance. The rest of the screen should be an overhead view of upcoming roads with highlighted path.

    No blue pop up screens should ever be allowed for more than a couple seconds here. For safety, this has to be a quick notification and then disappear, if Waze deems it more of a priority.

    I don't know how many times I was driving through Chicago or the Twin Cities where the blue bubble was asking me if construction was still going on?!?!! It's fricken Chicago, construction will never end. I'm in a vehicle surrounded by intense and insane drivers driving cutthroat to get where they want to go and I can't see the overhead because I have to take my eyes off the road to lean and click a "still construction" blue box that is hiding my map... the main reason I use the app!

    It is not intuitive and it is unsafe and it causes stress.

    I cannot see what I am doing.

    I cannot read what the bubble says.

    I need to safely look in front and beside me and try to read road signs and I need to keep both hands on the steering wheel.

    Please write a program that removes everything but what is necessary to provide the service that people use your app for, when getting close to an actual turn or road change.

    Once the turn is made, go back to normal and use the blue pop ups to do whatever.

    The act of taking the eyes off of crazy traffic in an unfamiliar area to press a button on a pop up, just to provide access to the roadmap, is unsafe. It shouldn't require an interaction in certain spots.

    Please program an if/then response to automatically remove (without interaction) floating boxes when a road or lane change is required.

    Please make floating boxes automatically disappear within .1 miles of an intersection requiring a turn.

    They block the most important info that is needed, the actual map and road view.

    A priority rule should be programmed in the app.

    On highly congested roadways and unfamiliar highway interchanges, it is completely unsafe to read or click "still there" when that text box is covering all of the important lane information needed to get on or off in the correct lane of… more

19. Waze should add the Postcode of the street you're navigating to while searching.

    I (and quite a few friends) use waze as my primary navigation during deliveries. Besides some buildings not being able to be displayed correctly (common issue across all maps), I really wish that while searching for a street name / house number, Waze would have the postcode come up alongside the street name to make sure you're navigating to the correct one.

    This only happens on 6/10 addresses if you start typing the postcode yourself, but for a lot of addresses trying to type the postcode as well as the street / house number just shows as no results. It would be so much easier if you could type (Postcode) (Number), or when typing the street name the postcode of the suggestions pops up to.

    Would make life a lot easier, since sometimes I have to switch to other maps just to make sure I have the right area, since a lot of customers do not put the county / town name in the address.

20. UI Update For Better Visualisation Route Alternative

    There is a UX/UI design issue in the software after the update to version 5.11.5.1.
    Before this version, the route options screen was larger and better organized, allowing a complete, simple, and practical view of all three route alternatives after defining a route.

    After the 5.11.5.1 update, the route alternatives display became smaller and narrower, with larger fonts, forcing users to scroll through the reduced screen area in order to select a route while driving. Furthermore, to view more information about a route, it is now necessary to scroll to select it, click once to open it, and then click again on “More details.”

    As it stands, this design requires excessive attention and manual scrolling while driving, which significantly increases the risk of an accident. Honestly, it has become much worse compared to the previous versions, which was simpler, more practical, and safer. I have photos os these two screen to a better clarification about the issue.
