COVID testing center wait time, traffic
I was trying to get covid test for my daughter this weekend and couldn't find out what places didn't have a wait line. Like traffic, I thought this would be a good opportunity for Waze to have people add a Covid testing alert or comment at a site to let others know the wait times. Or for Waze to recognize how many people are heading there? This would be a huge relief to people during this stressful time.

Narrated story while passing by interesting landmarks
While travilng to unknown places, it would be nice if waze will alert you of any interesting landmarks or relevent facts along your way. It will have to be according to a list that specify what you are interested in, and have an easy off switch for people using waze for daily drives.
The alert can be either like a commercial or a link to the relevent wikipedia page, or it could be narrarted for hearing while driving.1 vote -
Search text size
When searching for a location by name, many times the name is so long you get no additional information as to the street or city or have any idea except the distance if the same name exists on multiple streets and cities. You have no idea where the location is. A good example is searching for Cracker Barrel restaurants. Recent search turned up 8 locations but none of the results in the app showed street or city.

Please give us the option to turn off the sound when a hazard is acknowledged, I don't need a ding to show me I acknowledged the hazard.
There should be an option to turn on or off the sound acknowledgement when you say a hazard is there or not, forcing the alert sound on for all is ridiculous.

To small numbers
Hi, i have updated to the latest version of waze. While driving, i always mount my phone in landscape position (90 degrees)
I realized that the guide of remaining distance and remaining minutes has gone in tilt position. It only appear sometimes bit to small to read it. Need magnifying glass to read the number remaining minutes and kilometers.
This is so troublesome and not user friendly. I wiah i could downgrade it to the previous version where i can read it easily.
Fyi, i am using it on Huawei P9. Really hope you can fix this in the soonest…

Waze protect people on road
Hello my idea could safe people's life and make some extra profit for Waze.
Imagine you are cyclist, runner, wolker or group of cyclist with kids or etc.
You open Waze app choose ''protect mode'' option and select who you are. Then everyone who will driving on the same road will have an alert to slow down because you are ahead.I know that almost every new car has safety systems, but no one can see behind the corner.
Waze can sell and provide these live data to other companies like Volvo, Mercedes, Audi, BMW and they can implement them…

Traffic Alerts
Give drivers the option to manually enter a traffic incident ( police, speed camera etc) on the map rather than only allowing the them to report an incident on their tracking location. This can allow a driver to go a different direction or go past an incident and still enter an alert accurately for other drivers. Also allow an option for speed camera alone, because it is difficult to differentiate from police or a speed trap.

Restore and add more alert choices and sub-choices - make the last more visible
Hello, Waze. For unknown reason to us, your users, you are lowering the variety of the alerts that could be reported and/or their sub-options. The most striking example is the police reporting option where it is not possible to report a police from the other side. Please restore it. Please, add the following reports:
1) stationary speed camera
1.1) please add a detail about the direction the already added stationary speed cameras are pointing at - towards the incoming cars or at the same direction of the road lane group. Also add this as an option for the ones…2 votes -
Hire car return - Find a petrol station
This is a bit weak as a stand alone app, so I was thinking you could integrate this into Waze.
When returning hire cars you are required to return with a full tank of gas, otherwise be charged an extortionate rate.
So if you are navigating to an airport or car hire facility, allow a function in Waze, within a set radius inform you of the distance to a gas station (and reroute you if necessary).2 votesYou can find gas stations on around your route and add them as a stop point.

When in a route that Waze mapped it would be nice to know the distance to next city although that is not the final destination.

Alert when leaving a motorway - at 300m - Indicate NOW
All motorists, when exiting a motorway, should indicate around the 300m marker - what about getting Waze to tell/advise drivers to do this? Perhaps it would get people indicating better :)

Retrospective report submission
The option to retrospectively report an alert for other drivers. Reporting alerts such as collisions, police activity, petrol prices etc can’t and shouldn’t really be done while driving (if driving alone) - but once at a standstill, or at your destination, the option to scroll back down your route and place the alert at the location worth mentioning would be ideal. - the orange button to do so only appears while en-route and your map “centered” using the compass, which takes you away from where you want to report the activity.

Alert pop-up on car screen - add a dismiss
Example: red light camera in x feet
The only options are to say "thanks" or "not there". I just want it to go away so I can see the estimated arrival time. Without this option, there's no way to obtain accurate feedback. I just select one or the other so it goes away without knowing which is accurate.

Hola,
Me gustaría hacer una sugerencia para la aplicación.Cuando aparece que hay alguna cámara de velocidad o de algún riesgo, me gustaría poder escuchar un beep cada vez más continuo conforme me voy acercando al peligro o cámara reportados, así no tendría que estar distrayendo mi mirada para saber que tan cerca estoy y solo con el audio poder ser alertado de la proximidad y prestar más atención al camino. Imagino que habrá personas que no les guste esta posible opción y habilitar el poder quitarle esta función para quien así lo deseé.

alert the destinations energy management system of my ETA
When an office employee clicks "Work" as their destination, Waze should send a message to the building automation system with that workers ID (coded, or their name, or desk number) and the building automation system can calculate the pre-start time needed for the HVAC system to ensure the space is up to temperature when the employee arrives. This will prevent unnecessarily early starts, also will start the system if they come in early, or on an unscheduled day. Make reporting more succinct and only require 2 clicks
If you’re alone and do not have a passenger it is dangerous to go through so many clicks to report something (hazard, etc). There is enough real estate in the app and especially through CarPlay where you should just need to click the orange report button then the report item itself you need on that next page. This also will make the actual physical location of the report more accurate due to the traveling distance per second lost when clicking through so many pages. For example, when reporting road kill I often have 10+ seconds pass while clicking and scrolling…

How can I turn off Hazard alerts?!?!!? These SUCK!!!!!!!
These are annoying and I have to silence Waze even though I do want to hear everything else. There needs to be a way to turn off just Hazard alerts!!

ALERTS - NOTIFICATION ADVANCED BASED ON ACTUAL SPEED, NOT AT FIXED DISTANCES.
Reduce notification distance (based on speed limits, best on current average speed, better on a setting based on current average speed).
It often happens me that on city roads the navigator gives me informations about three crossroads ahead causing confusion.
I hear "traffic light with camera" I expect it to be the very next traffic light, not the the one after that.
Or "railroad crossing ahead" and I turn on a road 100m before the railroad (using waze just for map, not for actual navigation).
