1. When Searching for "FUEL", add [Nearest] or [Along Route] selector/modifier.

   Not only is this needed, but it also needs good UX to make what's happening clear.

   In the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of situations, I want the CLOSEST gas station AHEAD (or on my current) route. It could be something as easy as a modal popup that says [BUTTON] in brackets:

   [Shortest Distance] or [Nearest Ahead]

   Where [Shortest] = "oh my .... I'm on fumes and need fuel NOW"
   And
   [Nearest Ahead] just does a quick check of your current route, a little balancing to find the shortest route with a 10-minute "lookahead" and presents the user with a list that INCLUDES:

   [Along Route]
   "Time (DIST) to (GAS STATION) adds (X DIST)"
   Being able to SORT by the (X DIST), which would be the "miles added by deviation" then allows me to see the shortest add miles and how long".

   When I'm on local roads, it doesn't matter as much. But, when I'm on a trip in unfamiliar areas, I usually want an upcoming fuel location that adds the least "exit .... back on" time or distance. I'm fine with driving 20 minutes if it's an addition of 2 miles, but want to avoid closer options that add 5 miles as long as it's not dire.

4. Waze directions are given too late

   I have recently moved to Melbourne Australia. Every road, every intersection, every turn is new to me. I've been an avid Waze user for many years, but I cannot use it anymore. Every directional instruction is 1-3 seconds too late. I have never encountered this problem, because I only used the alert voice setting since I knew my daily drive and area very well.

   A few examples:
   1) When approaching an intersection while in the middle of a 5 lane road, the direction to turn right is only given once the lane turn-offs begin.
   2) When in a residential area where the speed limit is 60km/h, Waze only says "turn right" when the right-turn is 10m away. Yes, I do acknowledge that 300m before the right-turn it said "in 300 meters, turn right", but the problem is between the initial instruction and the right-turn, there may be another turn in between and it's hard to judge distance in a new environment - see point 3 below.
   3) See previous point for reference. I often find that after I have turned, Waze would say "in 200 meters", but 50 meters have passed already, so it's hard to judge what distance remains and thus it's hard to judge the actual remaining distance.

   While driving, my passenger had Google Maps open. Every instruction was in perfect timing. I don't like the look of the Google Maps interface very much, but when driving I don't have to look at the screen - I only have to listen to the instructions. For new users, this is the primary reason for using a GPS nav app.

   I loved Waze with the personalization options and clean UI. You were by my side for over a decade. Sorry Waze team for leaving. My intention for using a GPS navigation app is to get to my destination without missing turns. Unfortunately Waze is lagging behind Google Maps in this regard.

   If part of the Waze roadmap is to acquire new users, then this issue must deserve proper attention.

5. Going to a contact's address is horrible, suggestion: please improve

   Current process for going to a contact's address with Waze on iOS:

   1. Start typing your contact's name. It shows up in the auto-complete list. Yay! Tap on it.

   2. Now you are presented with a list of suggested addresses. Okay, maybe the address in your address book doesn't EXACTLY match an address that Waze understands. So, still cool.

   2a. The first suggested address is usually just the city that your contact lives in. This is obviously completely worthless.

   2b. The second suggested address is often your contact's address, but you have no way of knowing that for sure, because your contact's address disappeared to the previous screen and you can't get back to it. So now you have to go to your phone's address book, search for your contact, and see if the Waze-suggested address matches. This is horrible. It could be easily fixed by just displaying the address you entered (tapped on) above the list of suggestions.

   2c. The rest of the suggested addresses usually just contain the city name a lot. This is horrible. If my friend lives in Kirkland, WA, then I get a suggestion for e.g. Kirkland Avenue in the wrong city, and Kirkland Way in Kirkland (not where my friend lives). This is never what anybody wants.

6. Alerte seulement pour les radar

   Separer l’option du son avec « alerte seulement » pour avoir seulement les zones de contrôle du reste. Comme avant la mise à jour…. Maintenant avec le rajout de « ralentisseurs », « vitesse abaissé », « zone à vitesse régulée » etc… l’appli Waze ne fait que d’ «ALERTER » pour un tout et pour un rien! Bientôt on aura « attention route devant vous »!

7. My locations are being deleted

   Hi I sent an email 2 weeks ago and got no response. I live in Victoria Australia
   I marked a police location on the map within 30min it disappeared even tho it had 2 thumbs up I was still in the area so I drove past again and added it on the map and within 30min it disappeared again. This has happened to a friend of mine so its not a once off error and.I saw on the news that Victoria Police had asked waze to remove the police location marker on your waze maps more questions below
   1. Why was my marked police locations removed twice?
   2. Are you/Waze removing all police marked locations within a certain time frame ?
   3. Are you/Waze receiving messages or communications from Victoria Police to remove certain location at there request ?
   4. Do you/Waze receive any communication from Victoria Police ?

8. Remove time penalty while road type changes from Unpaved to Paved and vice versa

   There are a lot of areas in Lithuania, where road is paved inside village and unpaved between villages. Waze navigation suggests to avoid shorter and faster trip through the mix of paved and unpaved roads and offers a longer trip through unpaved only roads.

10. Indicateur de vitesse

    Bonjour,
    Ne serait il pas possible de remonter un peu l'indicateur de vitesse sur la carte afin qu'il reste bien visible quand l'indicateur d'événements en bas de l'écran remonte ?c'est une situation agaçante dans le sens où on ne sait vraiment pas si on est loin de la bonne vitesse, et essayer de le faire disparaitre avec un doigt tout en roulant est trop dangereux.

11. SpeedTest Coverage Checking

    I’d like for Waze to team up with Ookla SpeedTest to take random speed tests in the background when navigating with Waze to help carriers onow which areas to improve cell coversge. Waze could even add a report cell coverage issue in the report issues feature.

12. On Navigation preferences

    Could you add an “Avoid Parkways”feature?
    Small commercial vehicles like pick up trucks and small vans are not allowed in parkways in Ct and NY and it’s really complicated to move around those areas because Waze will calculate all routes using the Parways.

    Please add an optional toggle for destination pins to stay on screen after arriving. I find as a delivery driver that the pins disappear way to soon especially in dense buisiness/ residential areas then I have to open up different map program.

14. Deroute

    Hello
    Last time when I went abroad, the road closure was not updated on the map. So I had to turn onto a different road than the one in the navigation. The navigation kept trying to return me back to that turn even though there was a roadblock (since I don't know the area I don't think it would be appropriate for me to suggest a roadblock and it's not even safe to do it while driving).
    - My suggestion is that if I turn onto a different road to the one in the navigation, then let it offer a choice of whether it is my mistake or to choose a detour (perhaps suggesting a distance of at least 1-3km).
    - Another improvement I can see is that in this case I would like to see a colour resolution of the direction one-way road (so that I can quickly decide on a suitable detour and not get stuck on the one-way road and the prohibition again).
    - Another case is a bug (in Android Auto) where the navigation information about an accident, patrol, etc. overlays the information about the suggested lanes.

15. Good imagery quality for Prioritised by Date

    The current image quality from additional imagery> prioritised by date is very poor and pixelized. Currently, not all areas have the latest imagery, and to view the latest imagery in detail, many times you need to rely on Google Earth Pro. So please provide same imagery quality as Google Earth Pro.

16. Police/Fire Operation in Progress

    Sometimes in my area, the police or fire department will close a specific road or roads due to them dealing with an emergency, for example, when there was an apartment building on fire, the police blocked off all roads to traffic within 500m of the building, (like the car in the middle of the road positioned diagonally to prevent entry), and two officers positioned at each road block. But as soon as the fire was out, and the scene was cleared, the road blocks were removed.

    When these road blocks happen, the provincial/state/national transportation authority is NOT notified as these are local operations, therefore they do not show up on any map right now. It would be nice if Wazers could mark the locations of these road blocks, like wherever you see an emergency vehicle placed diagonally to block the road, so we can avoid getting stuck or lost in the roads around the road block. Also, this way, if the road block is by cops, it will let people know that these cops are busy, they’re not there to give out tickets, (unless you force their hand).

17. Add traffic like icons to your maps like Google Maps.

    Google Maps has traffic light icons on their maps which is very useful when deciding what intersection to use, especially when making a left hand turn in heavy traffic areas. I don't understand why this feature is not offered since Waze is under the Google umbrella.

18. Safety Warning

    I’d like to address a serious safety concern regarding Angeles Crest Highway. This road is extremely dangerous due to its sharp turns, narrow lanes, and proximity to sheer mountain edges. Drivers are often faced with oncoming traffic and either the edge of the mountain or the rocky mountainside. It is, without a doubt, the most terrifying road I’ve ever traveled.

    Adding to the danger, there are no streetlights or cellphone reception. While it may appear as a shorter route compared to congested freeways, it is not safe and should include a clear warning when suggested as a route on Waze.

    I personally know of multiple instances where drivers have gone over the edge, been stranded for days, or required rescue by helicopter. For those unfamiliar with the area who are simply following GPS directions, it can be an extremely traumatic experience—some people have even broken down in tears while driving this road.

    Please consider implementing a prominent warning about the dangers of this route and provide an option to avoid it altogether. This could prevent accidents, reduce unnecessary distress, and ultimately save lives.

19. Business Address Route to arrive on the right side of the street

    For business address, hotels, commercial, etc. especially in busy downtown areas, please have the route always go around the block or whatever is necessary to arrive on the Right side of the street. For example dropping a passenger off in front of the building. Avoids having to do a mid-block u-turn or going around the block.

20. Incorrect Route

    Please stop directing people off Highway 80 Eastbound onto Chiles (frontage) Road and other surface roads at Davis CA. Highway 80 necks down from 5 lanes at UC Davis to 3 lanes across the Yolo Causeway. People are not getting onto the causeway any faster because of your direction. What is happening is that entire neighborhoods are blocked in. Emergency vehicles have no access as the surface roads are backed up to Highway 113 and even further. People are "parked" in intersections, blocking them. When Davis Legacy Soccer is holding a tournament off Chiles, people are blocked into the soccer fields because the frontage road is gridlocked for hours. Your customers (and the locals) are torqued off and there is a lot of honking, cussing, and bad driving. People are not getting onto the causeway any faster than if they stayed on Highway 80. The problem is that the freeway is at capacity as the lanes are reduced at UC Davis and because (evidently) at certain times everyone in San Francisco is heading for Tahoe and everyone in Sacramento is heading for the Bay Area.

What is happening is that entire neighborhoods are blocked in. Emergency vehicles have no access as the surface roads are backed up to Highway 113 and even further.
