- Why not let Waze search address from my contact list?
- Why not create folder in favorite? Like Friend, Company, Restaurant, etc.
- When click address on contact, link to Waze instead iPhone's map

Add navigation for on water and in air so you can use Waze when your on a boat and on a plane or helicopter and make it so can see planes.
If your on a plane you can get directions and see other flights and other apps can show you flights so Waze can do it to and on water will be super useful you see police boats and other stuff and make it switchable in the app so you can switch to land to water to air and maybe even add to google maps because Waze might merge with google maps because they own Waze.

Hi there,
Waze is awesome and everyone is using it. Some like me to navigate from Northern Denmark all the way to Romania on holiday others just to find out about speed traps.
In Romania, Waze caught a lot of media attention so we have a lot of new users, who are obsessed with the points. The new users part is good. We get more reports, more places, we improve on the map problems and we know exactly where the police is :)))
But then due to the point system, the new users instead of thanking for a reported police…

When reinstalling Waze on a new device or reset device, the installation will be corrupted if the app was on the SD card
If you've had Waze on an SD card and you restore or get a new phone and restore settings, the new installation will be on the internal storage but the settings will point to the SD card.
This means that your profile icon, maps, and voices will all be broken.
To fix, you can go into application settings and move Waze to SD storage. It would be nice if you didn't have to do this.

Display of built-in navigation/map on the dashboard after navigation is finished
Hello.
I noticed that when I start navigating via Waze, the built-in navigation in the car on the dashboard displays the voice "mobile navigation is active",,. and does not display the built-in navigation. After the navigation via Waze ends, but this voice on the dashboard remains active and the built-in navigation in the car is not displayed. Only after restarting the vehicle and connecting. After navigating to the destination, Google Maps switches back to the built-in navigation mode on the dashboard and displays the map in the vehicle.

Make Map Chats readable on Android Auto and CarPlay
Map Chats often contain useful information on lane closures or other hazards, but while their icons show up on the car's nav screen when using CarPlay or Android Auto, they can't be tapped on or read.
It is far more hazardous for me to unplug my phone, open the Waze app, and read the Map Chat than it would be to simply glance at my dash nav and tap the chat - you could even have the phone's TTS read it out while displaying it, then give the option to give it a thumbs-up.

Alerts on “Map View” when choosing routes
Whenever you type a destination it gives you 3 route options with lines in “List View” that show potential hazards, traffic and visible police. You should also have those same hazards show up when you click “Map View” and see the 3 different colored routes, so there is a better visual as to where those “alerts” are actually located. This would be easier than having to guess by the line.

New map on android auto is not user friendly. See details...
The new android auto map has several things that made it less user friendly. First the posted speed and your speed icons are so small that they are hard to read in a glance. You actually have to look very close at it to read them because of the small size.
Also, the reporting button is so tiny and it's black and white now which blends it to the map more and makes it less easily accessible while driving without looking. The old bigger icons were more user friendly. Even after you select to report sometging the icons are much…6 votes -

Add "Whats Near Me?" function to the app.
Add an option to find Places in WME "near me" on the map in the Waze App. Instead of searching for fast food or fashion and clothing, just allow us to find the closest 10 places to our current location. would allow for users to update existing places on the editor, add photos, and various other things. Je suis chauffeur de taxi à l’aéroport de Toulouse Blagnac.
Depuis quelques années, nous utilisons une tarification par zone soit 4 zones. Nous avions créé un calque sur MAPS qui nous permettais de bien connaitre la zone tarifaire. A l’heure d’aujourd’hui lorsque nous avons un doute nous sommes dans l’obligation de saisir l’adresse sur MAPS puis une fois la zone confirmée, nous devons ressaisir l’adresse sur WAZE. WAZE étant l’application utilisé par l’intégralité des taxis.

Place Photos
To report a Place via the client, the user is required to first take a photo before entering any details.
This process should be changed as it:
discourages Wazers from adding a Place if it is dark/raining or other factors prevent them from taking a satisfactory photo, and;
results in ineffective photos (blurry, dark, inappropriate) being added which do not fulfil the intended purpose of assisting other Wazers to identify the Place.
Making Photos optional when adding a Place, and adding the ability to upload from the Camera Roll/Computer/etc, would improve the Waze map by enabling Wazers to add Places…

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not planned since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

Correct addresses in Virginia
So many addresses in Virginia keep coming up as being in Fredericksburg when they are not. I had switched from Google Maps but will have to switch back.

Hello, I used the transifex to request Kinyarwanda translation. I have translated lots of apps into Kinayarwnda and my language is spoken by more than 30M globally, including those in Europe like Belgium and France. I am already contributing to Google Maps and I joined Waze to expand its use.

Ola! venho pedir para voces colocarem a opção de compartilhar e embutir quando clicamos em editar o mapa! pois ao clicar em "editar o mapa" a opção se incorporar o mapa com código de frame não tem. esta opção só aparece em mapas padrão antes de editar!! como trabalho com isso a função de satélite com código de iframe não funciona , poderia colocar para nós por favor?

UR - add screenshot option
On a daily basis, users report some map issues (lacking precision) that we could not verify just by the UpdateRequest data in WME, or they just do not remember/know the names of the streets/landmarks to help us find and solve the issue. Most of the times, we, the editors, need to search a lot for things that could be indicated inside of Waze, without using third parties for posting photos and screenshots like imgur.com, Facebook, or our personal contact pages/phone numbers/emails.
A button for adding a screenshot could be useful somewhere in the message notification screen.

Lower Waze's Age Rating on Apple App Store
Hello Waze Support Team,
I'm writing to suggest that you consider lowering Waze's age rating on the Apple App Store. Currently, Waze is rated 17+, while Google Maps is rated 4+.
Many young drivers and passengers could benefit from using Waze's features, such as real-time traffic updates and hazard alerts. A lower age rating would make the app more accessible to this demographic.
Could you please provide some insight into why the app has a 17+ rating and if there are any plans to re-evaluate it?
