1. Deroute

   Hello
   Last time when I went abroad, the road closure was not updated on the map. So I had to turn onto a different road than the one in the navigation. The navigation kept trying to return me back to that turn even though there was a roadblock (since I don't know the area I don't think it would be appropriate for me to suggest a roadblock and it's not even safe to do it while driving).
   - My suggestion is that if I turn onto a different road to the one in the navigation, then let it offer a choice of whether it is my mistake or to choose a detour (perhaps suggesting a distance of at least 1-3km).
   - Another improvement I can see is that in this case I would like to see a colour resolution of the direction one-way road (so that I can quickly decide on a suitable detour and not get stuck on the one-way road and the prohibition again).
   - Another case is a bug (in Android Auto) where the navigation information about an accident, patrol, etc. overlays the information about the suggested lanes.

2. Common hotspots for speed camera vans/ speed traps

   To have common hotspots for speed vans or speed traps added to the map. This would allow users to be aware of common spots for speed camera vans. Yes shouls be doing the speed limit but at the same time we all go over from time to time especially areas we may not no or the change speed limits.

3. Ampliar o limite de envio para alerts off-line

   O atual limite para envio de alertas em modo off-line está em 3, o que e muito pouco dependendo da região em que estamos dirigindo. No interior do Brasil existem dezenas de centenas de estradas entre cidades em que não existe cobertura do sinal mobile o que torna importante ter uma área maior para envio de alertas no modo off-line.

4. Avoid 70mph Roads

   When driving to a location on holiday I often try to AVOID motorways so the journey is more interesting and I pass through areas I haven't seen before. However, 70mph dual carriageways are NOT seen as a motorway, so sat navs (including Waze) with often navigate you onto one. Rather than choose AVOID motorways in settings, the option to "AVOID 70mph Roads" would be much better.

5. Highway and street name voice alerts

   Waze should announce highway and street names like it used to. Busy traffic and directions like strait, right and left can be hard to navigate with heavy traffic and confusing areas.
   EG stay right on hwy 35 south or turn right on commerce street.
   Strait can be deceiving and confusing when both lanes go strait but they veer off after you pass your exit.

6. Helping Small Town roads

   To Whom it may concern, I am contacting you today with an idea that could help our small town here of Nitro, WV (25143). We have a truck stop named Pilot Flying J (4204 1st Ave S, Nitro, WV 25143) located here where many truckers come to refuel their trucks and grab a bite to eat. There is a road that connects the Pilot to the I-64 Interstate exit of Institute, which is Route 25. Unfortunately, several truckers (travelling westbound on 64 to the Pilot) are routed this way using a Gps Device, which runs right through the downtown area of Nitro. Understanding that the majority of truckers use GPS for their directions nowadays, is there any way to reroute the directions to the Pilot in Nitro, WV to use the I-64 exit of Nitro instead of Institute? With this small adjustment, we could really reduce the wear and tear to our main artery through our town. If this cannot be done, is there any way you could persuade travelers (mainly truckers) to use a different route to get to the Pilot Travel Station while travelling westbound on Interstate 64. Any effort of working towards a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

7. Weekly restrictions

   Weekly restrictions on some street/areas should be considered on the navigation route. We have a lot of streets and avenues that closes after a certain hour, or even during the weekends. We also have some open market on streets on a specific week(end) day. I already had to turn around and try a different route because of that. That, along with the new "restriciton zone" function you just added would make Waze, probably the most interactive and dinamic app ever.

8. Sectional speed measurement warning to add info on actual speed limit applicable

   So at least in my country (Poland) we have these "sectional speed measurement" areas where instead of on point speed measurement, the average speed is measured along say 10km. The warning currently only warns about approaching the sectional speed measurement but it does not tell you or show the actual applicable speed limit which can be different on different roads and is not unified across the country.

10. A war on diluted fuel מלחמה בדלק מהול

    Hello,
    My name is Sarah Reich and I have four improvements for WAZE.
    3/4:
    In the last decade there have been reports of gas station that dilute the gas they sell with other substances, in order to increase their profit. That is outright robbery.
    WAZE could be these robbers' nightmare.
    My solution:
    Grading the gas quality, recording the data on which it was tested and the tester – a professional appointed by WAZE.
    As for financing of this, there are several options:
    a) WAZE customers will pay for this service
    b) WAZE would be upgraded to a professional level and will take on yet another area.

11. Option to reduce lengthy street names

    In urban areas in the US, it has become common for street and highways to have 3-6 names on them for various reasons. At highway speeds, this causes Waze to talk continuously for up to nearly 3 minutes leading up to and through the turn. It would be nice to have a way to keep the street name function, but dial it back in a way that it isn’t reading a whole paragraph of names for a simple “take the exit for I-77 East.”

    Dear Waze Team,

    I would like to report a recurring issue with the Waze interface on Apple CarPlay, related to the ETA bar (estimated time of arrival, remaining time, and distance to destination).

    I keep the app set to automatic mode, and my vehicle has a light sensor, so the map theme correctly switches between light and dark according to ambient brightness.

    Here’s what happens:
    • When I start navigation during the day, the map is light (as expected), but when driving through darker areas (tunnels, parking lots, shaded roads, etc.), the map switches to dark mode while the ETA bar remains light.
    • When I start navigation at night (or in a dark environment), the ETA bar appears dark, but when I move into a bright area, the map becomes light while the ETA bar stays dark, without adjusting automatically.

    In other words, the ETA bar does not follow the automatic theme transition as it does in Google Maps, where the bar color changes in sync with the map — light when the map is light, and dark when the map is dark.

    I suggest standardizing the ETA bar behavior so that it follows the map’s active theme, or alternatively, keeping the bar permanently dark to ensure better visibility and visual consistency.

    Please note that this behavior is not specific to my vehicle — I have tested it in other cars with Apple CarPlay, and the issue persists, indicating it is an app-level inconsistency.

13. Flooding (Inondation): route modification

    More & more extreme climate phenomena occures. In this context, the current proposed routes are sometimes crossing flooded areas, which is sometimes impossible to go through. I would like to propose an evolution of the flooding alert to have two levels:
    - a first one indicating that we could face issues, but the routes is still valid (~ current alert)
    - a second one, indicating the road cannot be used & so generating a new route computation by Waze, to avoid it. (New)

14. Speed changes - user cache

    Don't know if this counts as a bug or a feature request, please adjust accordingly.

    The issue surrounds changes in segment data and the user not entering a navigation resulting in sometimes the user getting wrong information about the speed limit, and the user may not understand why they see the wrong information.

    We get this an awful lot when a road has a speed limit change on Motorways and Dual Carriageways. When the speed changes, either to start, or to end, a construction project, we get UR reports from drivers with only a User Drive (GPS trace) and not a Waze Provided Route, suggesting the user hasn't entered a navigation. They are reporting things that have been updated on the map, such as new speed limits. It can sometimes take weeks to stop seeing URs along these segments, basically until the majority of drivers get updated maps on their devices.

    The ask is if it's possible for devices to be able to check if there are new data on previously downloaded segments in a driving area, and to update accordingly as the driver drives, and if there is a reason for not checking, to display Offline Maps Mode, so the user is aware they are using cached data for the route they are on.

    Don't know if this counts as a bug or a feature request, please adjust accordingly.

15. Additional highlights for current lanes

    A excellent feature that would help navigation in close intersaction areas would be additionally highlighting preferred lanes for next intersection. For example having 2 close intersections 1. shows use first 3 lanes for this intersenction 2nd shows to use the 1st or the last lane to continue. While the current feature of overall showing what lanes are plausible for this intersection is great, it has led me to fast maneuvering or slowing down to change lanes in unknown areas with close intersections, would be awesome if while driving before the 1st intersection as now it shows what lane to take it would have a addition green arrow or some kind of highlight for the next intersection as well like you can use the 1-3 lanes for this intersection but show a small green arrow or something on the 1st lane cause in the next intersection you will need to take the 1st lane for a left turn.

16. Route editing

    Dear Waze
    I was a new user and since we live in the countryside, had not needed your app before today. But after trying for a while, (on your South African App), I simply could not design a travel route for my husband which included stops/petrolpoints.

    You CAN write this off as an "ignorant new user", or you could listen to my problem.

    I REALLY wanted to use your app and even downloaded it for my husband, but I simply could not figure out how to add stops to his route??? Eventually, I designed the route on Google Maps and shared it with him and myself via WhatsApp.

    But EVEN Google Maps let me down - they are travelling from Heroldsbay to Kroonstad in South Africa, and for the life of me, I had to zoom in SO MUCH just to get restaurants/fuelstops...it was just stupid!

    I would think that fuelstations/restaurants/rest stops would JUMP at the opportunity to advertise their place on Google Maps, yet, i was SORELY disappointed...

    Even if someone paid £1/month for advertising, it's still something? Can't you just BLOW THEM OUT OF THE WATER with something like this???

    I hope you can use my comment to improve your app, as I have ONLY heard fantastic things about it and it won't take much to be better than Maps at this point...

    Please - remember I was A FIRST TIME USER. And that I could not figure out how to add stops on my Samsung Galaxy - if you DO have this feature available, please make it easier to find for first time users?

18. Phone Charging Indication while navigating with app

    It would be great to have an icon on the map display indicates that your phone is charging or plugged in while navigating with the waze app. There have been several times while driving and my phone was accidentally not correctly seated in the car charging cradle. I was navigating on battery power and the only indication was when I received a low battery warning notification from the phone OS. This can be very inconvenient when going on long drives or a safety concern when in unfamiliar areas or if one is stranded and the phone has no or low power.

19. Improved Automatic Re-Routing for Traffic Congestion in Waze

    We would like to propose an enhancement to Waze's automatic re-routing feature to provide users with greater control and flexibility when navigating around traffic congestion.

    Currently, Waze offers basic re-routing, but it lacks the ability to:

    Prioritize surface streets or alternate highways/freeways: This would be particularly valuable for users who prefer avoiding congested highways altogether, even if it means a slightly longer route.

    Define granular re-routing preferences: A binary on/off toggle is limiting. We propose options similar to existing route preferences (fastest/shortest) that allow users to:

    Set time windows for re-routing: For example, automatically re-route during known rush hour periods.

    Define exclusion zones for re-routing: Specify areas where re-routing is not desired, even if there is congestion.

    Control re-routing based on Waze user density: Only re-route if a certain number of Wazers are experiencing congestion.

    Utilize combined traffic data: Consider both Waze user data and official traffic monitoring systems for re-routing decisions.

    "Free flow" re-routing: Only re-route to areas with free-flowing traffic

    "Follow the herd" re-routing: Prioritize routes with a higher concentration of Wazers, potentially indicating a faster path.
    These options would allow users to personalize their Waze experience and optimize their commutes based on individual preferences and driving habits.

    We believe this functionality would significantly improve Waze's efficiency and user satisfaction. We encourage the development team to consider this proposal for future updates.

20. Increase size of route number graphic in navigation information block

    Please increase the size of the route number graphic in the Android Auto Waze display. For example, in Norther Virginia, I'm often traveling on the beltway (495) or highway 95 or 66, etc. There are areas where 395, 495, 95, etc are all options at the same time. These route numbers are shown in their graphical symbol form and the numbers are very small even though there is much more space in the box that shows the upcoming step in the navigation. As a driver that uses prescription glasses, I have to take off my distance prescription to read them (even though I can read the other information on the display).
